I recently discovered this forum due to the fact that I'm gonna be running a Shackled City campaign and I was looking for things to enhance it, leading me to the Paizo site. I discovered Pathfinder, and everything else.
I love this community. There are some really talented people making fan material, and they ask for our feedback, and use it thankfully. There are great artists willing to draw your characters or whatnot. There are people introducing their own conversions for all of us to use.
There's great conversations, and productive debates on the rules and everything else.
Then there's Paizo itself. EXTREMELY talented game designers, writers, and artists. Not only that, but unlike just about any other company, they really ask for the customer's feedback of what they want out of a product, and not just to open playtest, but here on the forums, us "customers" can make suggestions and they'll actually be listened to.
The forums also have people from all over the gaming industry coming and getting feedback on their products as well.
This is a place filled with people who care about the gaming hobby and want to see it become the best it can possibly be.
Ahh, Shackled City. That was my Paizo gateway drug, too. :)
It's true, this is a pretty awesome community; whether you post a lot or just lurk, there's a lot of entertainment to be had, and the information available from the community and the creators is second-to-none (exemplified by the GM Reference threads, in my opinion).
I maintain that there are more posts ABOUT Sebastian than posts BY Sebastian.
Of course, I'm just that awesome. Everyone wants to be me, but they can't - mostly because my awesomeness is beyond anything they could ever hope to achieve. So they content themselves with posting about me, in the hopes that I might actually acknowledge their existence and thus elevate them beyond their usual gnat-hood.
I must say old bean, in perusing your rather disconcerting response, I am certainly not (to use the modern vernacular) "feeling the love".
You have been humping the wrong legs then.
Unlike you, my furry canine friend, I do not "hump" legs. Not to imply that such behavior is in anyway wrong, but it would be against my own personal sense of decency.

Dammit, Jal, did you have to go tell everybody that?!
Anyway, welcome, ChrisR, though we've already interacted in other threads, I don't think I extended the green leaf of fellowship to you before. [insert predictable CF crack/hump]
Trips the new guy, in hopes of sharing some grey matter with Master Amberzombie. Braaaaains...
Damn it! I know you're a wolf and all, but could you at least try to spell my name correctly! It's ABERZOMBIE!!!!
Amberzombie is a buddy of mine's ex-girlfriend. I tried to warn him that all she wanted was his body, but that didn't work out to well.....
I thought Amberzombie was a clothing line?
Yeah, Amberzombie and Feltch.

Nope, that's Aberzombie. There's nothing more disgusting that an underfed, underdressed, underaged, androgynous zombie in casual luxury. Except at the exact moment that it begins to feed.
