I hope Flash shows up today, it's not the same without him. And besides if he doesn't soon show up, he's going to be so far behind he'll never catch up. ;)

Qadira (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Roleplaying Game, Campaign Setting, Companion, Battles Case Subscriber)

No kidding. You guys posted like 300 posts since yesterday ...

Just a couple of things before I head back to bed.
Lynora, sorry about the whole Bryce thing, in Chuck he isn't an evil villan, he is actually one of teh good guys, a cool secret agent, he is just so arrogant that you get annoyed by him. But he fights for the good guys.
And to everyone, I just got an email from Flash. He asked me to tell everyone that he is ok, but very busy for the next few days. He won't be around much. He says hi, and that he will talk to us some over the weekend, he hopes.
OK, now I am headed back to bed, while the kiddies still sleep.. I think I may have finally caught the cold that is going around, my throat hurts. :(

Mmmmm.....sleep.

Ugh. Well, I hope you feel better soon. Get lots of rest.

And don't mind my little rant. It is a popular villain name, and sometimes that really annoys me. I mean, isn't it just as likely, more so even, that a villain would be named Matt or Bob? But no, the villain has to have a cool name... :)

Of course, because, as we all know "Evil is Sexy!"

lynora wrote:

Okay, this is kind of a general rant, but why the frell is it that in books, movies, tv, or whatever that it seems like Bryce is such a common villain name? Grrr. Er, sorry about that. It's just annoying when my son's name keeps being used for the bad guys. Even if he is an evil mastermind in training. ;)

My middle son's middle name is Bryce, so I hear you.

Don't know about the rest of these guys, but the one that we had isn't. At least that's what my doctor says.

Everybody has a cold around me too.

I did have one friend who had swine flu, and she said it was very mild.

So, you never know. One could hope it's H1N1, because then you'd get your immunity up before it mutates into the zombification version.

Exactly, I had a couple of light viruses and I was actually hoping it was the swine flu, because, as you say, that builds up your immunity to it before it gets worse, if it does.

Late November would be great for us seeing as how we get my grant money in and we can contribute to the Spagetti and air mattress funds. ;)

As for a second crock pot, I have a smaller one that is usually good for 5. So I think we will be good on the getting the food cooked. :)
So how 'bout it Taig? Ya up for a get together? :D

I'll have to let you know. My wife's birthday and Thanksgiving fall around that time, so we'll have family visiting. Of course, I can try to escape. :)

May might work out the best.

Sorry you're not feeling well. My head cold has decided to turn into something else, so I'm feeling worse today.

Didn't sleep last night. Too much coughing. Going to try and nap now. Sigh. It probably won't work. I hate this stage of getting better. You know, the part where you aren't yet.

I have an interview in about an hour for an internal position.

They just scheduled it yesterday afternoon - talk about short notice.

I am sorry you aren't feeling any better. :( Maybe you should see a doctor and get something a bit stronger than over the counter.

As for May, well, early May is Bike Week, so traffic might be bad, depends on if they screw it up like they did this past year, but I am all for it. I think May would be ok. I would have to work some, it being Bike Week and all.

There's a lot of people applying for just a couple of positions, but it's a new department they are a creating, so even if I don't get the first round of jobs, there's going to be additional rolling hiring based on these interviews.

So I've decided that if I don't have a job by December I'm going to takethe LSAT and apply to law school. I'm going try for either University of Utah, BYU, or UNLV. That way my family can stay here and I can tarvel back and forth on the weekends.

Somene started a thread about songs that are tearjerkers. Here were my submissions.

Holes in the Floor of Heaven by Steve Wariner. I'm teared up just listening to the song long enough to make sure it was the right version.

Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle. This one really started to get to me when I had kids.

The Christmas Shoes by Newsong. If this song doesn't make you cry, you have no soul.

Hope you get to feeling better soon, Taig.

Do you have a crock pot or a bread machine? Those are great! I love making my cinamon Rasin bread with the bread machine. I just get creative. Add some almonds, walnuts, almond extract, golden raisins and a few other "extras". As for the crock pot, I make a nice semi-home made spagetti sauce. Beef stew is good as is some other things.

I loved my bread machine too, but all I used it for was kneading pizza dough. Mmmm, homemade pizza with fresh sauce, and cheese so hot it burns to roof of my mouth. I need to get the parts to fix the machine, but I'm worried the resulting pizza binge will kill my diet.

Well, that sounds like a plan if nothing else pans out. It's hard to find work nowadays, but as long as there are disputes, there's probably going to be some need for lawyers -- heck, as long as there are contracts, there will be lawyers, don't even need a dispute. Whatever you end up doing, I hope things look up for you soon!

I hope all of my extra interview materials don't backfire on me again. I have a whole packet, including a business plan, documentation of various accomplishments, and so on. Last interview I had the interviewer went through it with a fine tooth comb, found a couple of spelling errors, and let me know that I shouldn't have wasted my time.

On the other hand, she is also a notorious b++~$, so I don't think I will have to deal with that this time around.
