My Big Law Number One: Whoever proposes a stupid law that makes no sense is publicly flogged. Everyone who passes such a law is publicly flogged to death.
The downside is it makes the whole life style easier and potentially increases the number of people that choose to become prostitutes.
Why is that a downside? Healthy competition vitalises every industry or business. I'm all for monogamy if that's your thing, and polygamy if everyone involved is okay with it. But I'm against monopoly.
I can see the ads: "11pm to midnight is HAPPY HOUR! HAPPY ENDING HOUR THAT IS!"

It devolves into a game about who can do the last post and make the final insult.
If you want something like that, don't be a frikking cheapskate and use ebay!

You need more moderators and Cut the number of pages down to 10 per thread, then start new thread plz! Most of the comments are 1 liners and the threads go all over the place I know these forums are young and under funded but 551 pages on one topic is insanity!

All kidding aside, most of us here on the Paizo forums view this more as a family then as a message board. We are all friends here and we love to get together, chat, bounce ideas off of each other, and blow off steam. We want to know what is going on in each others lives, not just talk about games. We even run games on these forums so we can game with our friends. The fact that threads run so long is not due to the fact that these boards are young and underfunded, they have to do with the fact that we are a big, mostly happy family here. That being said, outside of the PBP threads, the 551 page threads are rare. This is the longest continual running thread I know and it is only 91 pages. It was also intended to be a stream of conciousness, pop in and out with one liners and jokes thread. I say, if people can still come up with original things to talk about after 500 plus pages of 50 posts each, why limit them?

I'm disappointed in my fellow Paizonians. I figured this thread would have hit 1000 posts of off topic weirdness by now...I think the OP set the challenge at "551 pages" of "insanity!". This is pitiful. I'm leaving.
See, that's part of the problem. Too many people don't appreciate the time and effort it takes to get a thread to some insane page count. Just look at the "Three Word game" - over 7000 posts, but that took us over 4 years.
That's dedication!
We need at least 28,000 posts to cross the threshold of insanity. We can do it if we try.

Well the Jack cult is almost 4600 posts in less than a year. I bet we can reach 7000 before September if we try.
Hopefully the weirdness in my alter-ego's life has subsided for a bit, and I can get back on my mission of making sure Hungry Jack only uses cheese with Jack in the name in his recipes...
