Rip the still beating heart out of the d20, drop it on the floor and stomp on it. Replace with 3d6 mechanic for a nice, smooth bell curve.

Return priests to a more priestly role. One or two orders of the Knights Templar is more than enough.

Base characters on their personality and abilities, not their equipment.

There are only a handful of massive, subterranean lairs.

Killing things does not improve a character.

Replace the PFRPG with Hero rules.

Are you sure? A cross between a zombie and a pony would be…a dead horse.

Hmmm...you have a point. Maybe it is my fault.

We could kill Sebastian and have the same result too though...

Psha! AD&D set the industry back to the bronze age.

Until the spellcaster takes a 5' step.

Old school gamers are the best! Back when I started playing we didn't have no sheet of paper telling us how to play our characters. Heck, we didn't have paper. The only people that had anything close to paper then was the pharaoh and his servants, and that was papyrus. And these dice things, maybe you'd get someone that carved a knuckle bone or something. No, we role-played it like it was meant to be, gathered around around the fire in our village taking swigs from the clay jug.

All you young whipper-snappers don't have any idea how to really role-play, with your fancy technology like paper and pencils and plastic dice.

And then the fighter uses the Step Up feat.

The misstep ability? Sorry, I was thinking of something else.

But the new version is not really the game; it just stole the game's name.

OH YEAH????

2e cheated on you!!!!!!!!!!!! HA!

Yeah, well 1e put into motion financial forces that have only now begun to raise their ugly heads, causing massive financial upheaval throughout numerous sectors of the economy, resulting initially in a massive drop in stock markets worldwide, increased unemployment and the creation of an as yet unnamed new snack food of dubious origin, but which will quickly morph into a worldwide pandemic of rabid penguins and chihuahua zombies!

EDIT: And Basic D&D was responsible for Barney and the Teletubbies!!

Not only was Basic responsible for that...but they were also responsible for this person!

1 - Dwarven women have beards!

{No, actually, dwarven women *are* beards. Like Katie Holmes.}

2 - I have taken over Greyhawk, and all of the gods are laboring in a salt mine under the castle. Please send me your character sheets so I can tally up the XP your characters were worth and what sort of loot I got from them. Plzkthxbai.

3 - Pun-pun.

4 - If I utterly ignore the rules and common sense, this druid is way overpowered. Halp!
