Look what you started Kruel! Now Heath and I are competing for Shiny's affections. That's just not right.

You and Mothman.

I'm flattered, but I think we'll need to keep it platonic man. I don't think I could compete with Heathy anyway.

Heathy is my Hero! Come here and give me a furry kiss! ~wicked smile and hides a blunt object behind my back~

Nope. I wear swim trunks, not nuthuggers.

Shiny, you don't really know me, but I've been following this thread b/c you're a regular. I'm glad you're ok, in short.

Don't be too hard on yourself; no one here is judging you. Sometimes you have to go through rough patches to really learn the important things in life. There's a reason Dante's Divine Comedy started w/ the protagonist in Hell, and finally ended up in Heaven.

Or, if you prefer a Henry Rollins quote, "Rise Above!" :)

One final thing. When I was your age--don't you hate it when people say that--I went through some rough patches, emotionally and mentally. Hang in there, though, b/c nothing is preordained. You'll work stuff out on your own time. Time doesn't necessarily heal all wounds, but it sure does a good job on most of them. [/cliched pep talk]

Welcome back, Shiny!

Edit: Oh yeah, our conspiracies were way more fun than the truth. Way to go! ;)

Hey! Glad you're back. By the way, how'd the test flights go? Is the new X302b everything we expected? I alway knew my conspiracy theory was the right one ;-)

I've just made some bad mistakes at a particularly bad time, and am only now realizing how much of a lightweight I am in comparison to a s%&%load of other people.

The really sad and pathetic thing is, I've only been gone for two weeks.

Yaaaay the true Lord has returned! Now can you get rid of that idiot psychopath kobold? He's messing up our flower beds.

What news do you bring from the Mole-people at the center of the Earth (or "centre" on the other side of the Atlantic)? Did they get my message? Will Bizarro Santa bring me everything I never wanted?

Basically what happened is that one too many people f!*~ed with me while I was on the down-slope of one of my depressions. I shut myself in my room and slept. A lot. Didn't really eat much, either. Just listened to angry/sad music, cried, plotted my escape from Ticonderoga, and did a s~*@load of push-ups. Oh, yeah. I forgot: never attempt to quit hardcore anti-depressants cold turkey after six years. It's like a week-long hangover from hell.

Mr. Shiny, just remember this. Sometimes it is better to do nothing than to do a rash action.

You might have saved yourself even more trouble by doing nothing than blowing up at the person that was messing with you. Also, you have people here who like you for you. Never forget that, Bub!

The Mole-people are greatly enjoying the gift of music you had bestowed upon them during your last visit. Nothing warms the cockles of my heart more than a billion Mole-people dancing to the music in their heads.

Chuk-Chuk recieved your message. He says that the Viszh-hound is in the creche. Sounds like code to me.

Bizarro Santa not bring you nothing you never wanted.

Oh, and Hitler says hi. He and Lovecraft were having their monthly brainstorming session with Mike Mignola when I visited. It's all hush-hush, but he mentioned something about hiring you for some modeling work.

Welcome back, Shiny.

Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the cross fire of childhood and stardom,
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger,
You legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Treatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter,
You piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Pile on many more layers and i'll be joining you there.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
And we'll bask in the shadow of yesterday's triumph,
And sail on the steel breeze.
Come on you boy child, you winner and loser,
Come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!

Welcome back, Mr Shiny, and shine!

P.S. - The issues that you were talking about in your video are actually HARDER to deal with that physical issues. I have been on the recieving end of both and all I can say is that I would take physical issues over mental any day of the week!

Originally, reading the adios, I thought you had hit a part of your life where you had 'outgrown' gaming and needed to move on...

paraphrasing Mr King:
[in a letter] ...Remember, Red. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies. I will be hoping that this letter finds you, and finds you well. Your friend, Andy.

Dust yer shoulders off, put your helmet back on, and get back out there! Theres a buncha cliche' things I could say here, but basically all I want to say is its ok to f#$* up.

Just in case you didn't get the reference, it's from Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here" album (1975?); a haunting ode to Sid Barrett, an earlier member of the band who, um, had some problems and couldn't continue on shall we say. The album is a tribute to him. He sadly passed away this very year.

But not to end this on a downer. Check out the album sometime, you might enjoy it!

The cool part about having people who care about you is they don’t judge why you’re gone, they’re just glad to have you back. You were missed.
