55. When Kirk wants to talk to the Enterprise he flips open his communicator dramatically. When Picard wants to talk to the Enterprise he has to tweak his own nipple.
By the way, this one made me laugh for about 10 minutes last night.
Which is why he is th best.Helearn from the best at th tim (Kirk) and then built upon it. Name me any other Trek Captian who's coming was prophicied by extradimensional beings and ended his series by being promoted to being a god.
I missed meeting her TWICE by two minutes- once at the VERY FIRST CON I went to(although I did get a chance to see the lovely Majel Roddenberry), and once again at the last Comic-Con I went to. TWO MINUTES!!! DAMN!!
I've never met her either. I just tend to remember this kind of trivia. The closest I've come to attending a con is that I used to game with a guy who worked with guest celebrities at cons and he met the whole original crew over the course of his time doing it. Everybody was polite and down to earth, excepting Shatner. But if the Shat's stint as a reality TV star on Spike is any indicator he's learned to laugh at himself since then.
Of the Next Gen babes-in-sickback, Dr. Selar and Nurse Ogawa were both cooler than Pulaski, IMO.
Naturally, I don't think Dr. Pulaski would show up on anyone's list of hotties. I'm pretty sure most people hated her, and only remember her for mispronouncing Data's name.
Archer got promoted.
Janeway got promoted.
Sisko got promoted, to GOD!
Picard blew up the Enterprise and got a shiny new ship. Tell me who is better Kirk or Picard?
More importantly, which Trek babe was most babealicious?
My vote is for Jazdia Dax, although Keylahr, Kes, Intendent Kira and Lt Illyia all get honorable mention!
What? No love for 7 of 9?
I have some love for 7 of 9 (even if she was put in there for the cheesecake factor). Jadzia Dax is my favorite, though.
I also liked Sisko the best of all the Captains.
Agreed Taig on Jadzia (and Sisko as best captain) but even though she was only on for one season I have to admit Ezri Dax was also a favourite, for me anyhow.

Oh, I could not stand Ezri. Jazdia was amazingly hot (the way she strutted around the place like she had a big brass pair, and talked to Sisko like she was still his boss, and the way he put up with it, treating her like the 'old man' he remembered). You could see in Terry Farrell's performance that she was playing a male character in a young woman's body, as if her two or three years as Jadzia hadn't yet 'taken' after six decades as Curzon. And then Nicole de Boer (?)
showed up and completely failed to portray that, playing Dax's latest incarnation as a fluttery little child.
Plus it was established and repeated on multiple occasions that Trill both swap genders every incarnation and are supposed to avoid going back to their old life in a new incarnation. *If* Dax returned for a cameo, it should have been a boy Dax, and he should have had a completely different mode of service than science dude.
Trek has a terrible rep for dealing with actresses who want to have a career. Denise Crosby wants to have a few weeks off to do Pet Semetary? Your character gets killed by a sentient oil slick! There's the door! Terry Farrell wants time off to do a Hellraiser movie? Buh-bye. Jennifer Lien didn't even ask to make a movie, she was just 'let go' in favor of Boobs Ahoy, hired to use her amazing gravity-defying anatomy to perk up those sagging ratings.
Seven of Boob grew on me, but they shoulda kept Kes and gotten rid of Harry Kim. :)

Different tastses for different folks (some people up the page like 7 of 9 but obviously your perspective is different), but to answer some of your Trek allegations: First Trill swap genders every time they get a new host
Dax
1st host Lela female
2nd host Tobin male
3rd host Emony female
4th host Audrid female
5th host Torias male
6th host Joran male
7th host Curzon male
8th host Jadzia female
9th host Ezri female
and on top of that switching gender every new host was never mentioned ONCE anywhere on trek either TNG or DS9.
Second no reassociation with past lives. If that had been the case Jadzia wouldn't have been on DS9 since Curzon had associated with Sisko for many years; also could not have gone and fulfilled the blood oath with Kor, Kang, and Koloth in DS9 episode "Blood Oath" or gotten reacquainted with Arandis on "Let He Who is Without Sin..."
94. Kirk went to the center of the universe, met god and wasn’t impressed.
Aww yeah. \m/
I grew up on the original movies, and when my dad saw mine and my brother's interest in them, he immediately starting getting the Original Series and Next Generation from Columbia House. Family night with Star Trek - what could be better?
My dad told me once how he would haul his butt home to watch the original series when it aired religiously, and how much it inspired him to his career in the Air Force, which led to his love of computers and science, which led to my love of computers and science. So Star Trek has a lot of weight with me...even when it's bad. :D
Archer got promoted.
Janeway got promoted.
Sisko got promoted, to GOD!
Picard blew up the Enterprise and got a shiny new ship. Tell me who is better Kirk or Picard?
Kirk also got DEMOTED it should be pointed out.
Kirk got demoted because he asked to be but only after commiting mutiny, travelling through time and altering the timestream, and saving the capital of the Federation for the umpteenth time.
He only wasn't impressed because Sisko hadn't gotten the job yet.
Sisko wins the 'becoming a god' contest.
On Kirk's ship, Gary Mitchell became a god-like powerful entity.
On Picard's ship, Wesley Crusher become the 'master of time and space' (and Whoopi Goldberg was regarded by Q as 'a dangerous creature,' although she never really did anything to back that up).
On Janeway's ship, Kes developed the godlike power and warped away.
On Sisko's station, he took that job for himself.
I haven't seen all of Enterprise, so I have no idea if any of Archer's crew developed awesome cosmic power...
(and Whoopi Goldberg was regarded by Q as 'a dangerous creature,' although she never really did anything to back that up).
Mysterious and smugly superior person mouthing vague platitudes sounds fairly dangerous to me. Who knows what she was really after? Every time she showed up, it was to manipulate someone. She and Q have a lot in common when it comes to that, but Q's motives were rarely so opaque. No wonder he fears her. She can keep her mouth shut.
Kirk did write those TekWar books, which got turned into a halfway decent Action Pack TV series with the actor from B.J. and the Bear! (The human, not the chimp.)
In fact, the coolness of the series prompted me to pick up a couple of the books, which were... not great. He's no triple threat, that's for sure.
He's no Senator! He's a police Lieutenant/Captain/Chief in Bevery Hills...or a vice-president of Omni Consumer Prodcuts..or was he an administrator on Mars?
