Sorry I am one of those who has not been posting as I should. Just had things going on and I would check in but didn't post, no excuse or anything. I will increase my posting from now on, sorry again

No worries Moth,
As far as I'm concerned, I AM still interested in this game!

I'm usually trying not to over-post, as I tend to ramble when I have (or at least take), to much time away from work and home to spend online! :)

Lately RL hasn't been 'busy' so much as unpredictable, Like this weekend I have to go to New Orleans, So I won't be back till Monday. But I will always do my best to warn you in advance when that happens!

I for one wish to continue, I have a character I would like to explore the possibilities of, and this scenario has already caught me completely off guard with the Pugwampis! I own the modules, but haven't even peeked at this series yet, as I wanted it to be a complete surprise! And I'm glad I did!

Let me know if you want to speed it up, or slow it down, or whatever, I'm good. But If there has been a delay on my part, rest assured it has nothing to do with you or your DM'ing! I am enjoying both games a lot!

LAters,...

Moth,
I am enjoying the game, but I haven't had a lot to do. That is the cleric's fate I suppose, but I will attempt to up my posting if you feel I have been slacking. The time of year is busy for me right now with summer kicking in. I often don't have the time I'd like to update. Count me as still interested.

Sorry guys, I wasn’t trying to single anyone out. It’s just that in my experience when several players slow down on posting rates this early in a game, it often means the game is about to go belly up. I’ve been really busy lately, and although I want to continue the game, I’d be less enthusiastic if I thought I was putting effort into a game that’s about to go bust or suffer from a mass exodus. Just feeling a bit burnt out I guess.

If generally people are still into it, then let’s get into it! If there’s anything you don’t like about how I run the game, or can suggest a way to improve things (such as the initiative idea), I’m open to suggestions.

Qadira Patrick Curtin (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber; Pathfinder Chronicles Subscriber),

Foreign-trader 1 avatar

No worries Mothy, I like the game, and I'm willing to go forward. I am stretched a bit thin with real life and the many different PbPs I am involved in right now, but that will change eventually.

I know the frustration of drifting PbP posting, I had the same problem (and still do to a certain extent) over in my Tharkad-Kul game. You just have to ride it out and see what happens.

One thing I would suggest is posting maps. I am assuming there are some in the module, and spacial awareness helps the whole immersion thing IMO.

Ragadolf (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber),

35 Arcane avatar

Ditto here Moth-miester.

I don't think it's a lack of enthusiasm (from what I can tell) but RL is a bummer at the best of times! And If it's becomes frustrating for your players, I can only imagine what it must feel like to YOU as GM!

I'm in like Flynn until you say otherwise, (or RL lands me another sucker-punch!)

As far as suggestions, It seems to me that the first poster rolls one roll, and all add their individual modifiers to that roll to provide initial starting init seems to be an acceptable standard on the PbP's. At least it seems to kick off the round faster than waiting for all to post an init.

Another idea is this, when EXACT timing doesn't matter, (IE- we're all at missile range, usually) or the exact spacing doesn't matter because we're all in one-on-one fights, let the player's post their actions in whatever order they post, and resolve from there. (Obviously it doesn't work well in some situations, but it might help some fights speed up.)

Meh, just a thought. If I come with any others I'll let you know. Otherwise the way you run things is fine with me!

On with the show!

Osirion seekerofshadowlight,

No all is cool man, life just slows us down at once. Something I might subjest in combat is don't wait for folks to post in order but kinda put them in order once folks have posted.

If you think I am slowing you down such as you have been waiting 2 days for me to post in combat feel free to NPC my actions. I would rather you do that then allow the game to stall. I am not avoiding it just sometimes I forget to update one, or over look it or something comes up

I don't know if you are interested in this but I did a sketch of the monastery for my guys. Feel free to use it if it helps.

The Old Monastery

I'm not technical but I don't mind a little drawing. Good luck mate.

Cheers

Great stuff dude! I may use this. I made a map of the chapel that you’re welcome to use if you like, although note that I’ve used artistic license a little. Also, when I get around to uploading it I’ll copy you a link of my drawing of Kelmarane.

Qadira French Wolf,

Spoiler:
Brilliant chapel. I'll definitely use it. Where is that a link to? I'm not good at this stuff so I use Photobucket. But I'd prefer something clean like your chapel. No flashing ads.
I'll probably do another sideview drawing or two of Kelmarane when the party get there. However your stuff would definitely help.
Maybe we need a thread for LoF like you did for AoWorms? Anyway thanks.

How was it Ragadolf?

Ragadolf (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber),

35 Arcane avatar

Oh, that was fine thanks, ;)
Got to watch the daughter do what she'd been practicing for for the last month! (Also got to be embarrassed of the actions of an in-law family member, but hey, what's life without a little of that, right?) ;P

AND this last weekend was an operetta in my stage, as well as hosting a Cosplay event for a local Anime Con in between rehearsals and the show, (As well sneaking in some well-deserved Con time for a little Star wars gaming action!) which is why i've been so absent this weekend!

LIfe SHOULD slow down for me (at least a little) now for a couple of weeks.

Yeah. Right. This is me holding my breath,... ;)

Hey all, so I'm moving today, and after talking to the new cable company odds are my internet access will be spotty at best until next Saturday, the 7th.

GM please DMPC if any key actions combats etc occur.

See you guys soon.

hey all had a hard drive get corrupted, will post when I can

Ragadolf (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber),

35 Arcane avatar

Heh, I got you beat.
I've managed to kill TWO hard drives in less than 5 days. (THIS week! A work, STill trying to recover data!)In two different machines, and ONE of the drives was supposed to be new!

Apparently I can kill a hard drive at 10 paces,... ;P

HOpe you can least get all of your important data back!

Osirion seekerofshadowlight,

18 Undead-Fort-Commander C avatar

I blame vista, it corrupted upon updating. I lost, alot. All game data for the 3 games I run and every thing in the documents part of windows, pics word files everything.....I will stab this pc if it trys updating again

Ragadolf (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber),

35 Arcane avatar

I absolutely DETEST auto-updating!
I have learned (The hard way) that an external hard drive and constant backing up of your primary files is your friend!

(SHame I can't seem to remember that myself!) ;P

Osirion seekerofshadowlight,

18 Undead-Fort-Commander C avatar

vista's updater is a ninja. It does not ask it just does. your doing something and it starts to shut down. This time it is shut off

Hey all,

Due to a sudden lack of employment and the impending visit of my mother, I will be spotty posting the next week or so. I might be up early posting, but I can't guarantee that. Please bear with.

Ragadolf (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber),

35 Arcane avatar

As I said in the other threads, Good luck Pat! :)

Seeker- Yeah, Vista's updater is sneaky, I had to try 3 or 4 times before I got it to NOT auto update. In XP it was simple, you told it yes or no, and it did or didn't. None of this 'I know you checked not to update, but I know you really want me to anyway' malarky! ;P

Apologies for my lack of posting recently. A much busier than normal week or two at work, combined with real life dramas and computer problems at home have conspired to keep me away from Paizo for the most part for the last week or so. I’m not sure when things will calm down at work (and in life) but at least the computer at home is fixed, so hopefully my posting rate will get back to something approaching normal.
