Yes, that is a possibility. Essentially they have managed to sow enough doubt that we can no longer trust each other without benefit of magic. I could possibly come up with something to help with that. Perhaps with Kaelar's help. He seems to be good at making magic items...

Either that or I have to whallop every person around you.

Happy Wednesday all :)

My girlfriend has that particular book of magic in her collection, yes. The FR game she was in when I joined made extensive use of the spell, with precautions since we were mostly good-aligned. But our DM was a big proponent of 'evil by intent, rather than by birth', so he considered the use of the spell more important than the original text, especially since he was cherry-picking content.

However,

Spoiler:
depending on what your ideas are for this 'chosen' path, whatever that confers could just replace Belsameth's, if it's a concern and interferes with the story.

Now, to get back in character... :)

LJ sighs. She hates to talk about the awful being who shared her body, but she understands the necessity.

The Goddess of Dangerous Knowledge is to Candle Lighter as the tarrasque is to a housecat. Candle Lighter wants to destroy all life, she wants to blow up the universe just to see what kind of a boom it would make. Her favorite tactic is to hand someone a piece of seemingly helpful technology and watch them destroy themselves with it. Being a goddess her plans tend to take the long view, so it can be easy to underestimate her in the short term. But after having been bound for so long, I think she's in the mood for some out and out destruction. If her cult succeeds in getting all of the pieces of her put back together, if she gets back her own body, and worst of all if she retrieves her full divine power from where the idiot kobold decided to put it, that being inside me, then I'm not sure if anything would survive.

Somehow, hearing the words come from Lyn's mouth seems to make it worse. She's had two bi-itches control so much of her life; first her mother, then the goddess. His jaw clenches. As if to echo his feelings his hammer emits a low growl, and the eagle's eyes flare.

Now that our personalities have been completely severed I can no longer touch the goddess's powers. I used to be able to siphon them away, but now they just sit inside me in a dormant state. And the only way to get them out involves me dying, which I'm not too eager to experience.

Well, technically speaking, I'm an outsider, so that should work as long as someone went to the celestial realms to resurrect me, but with all the modifications that were made to me in order to make me a more suitable receptacle for the goddess it's impossible to know if even that would work. It may be totally impossible to resurrect me at all.
