Thoven has not posted so he will channel once , Finn and ardanto will take one of the potions each an will use on charge of the wand on Ardanto, with 2 charges of rlw on guard. Also you woll use one of the potions on Kaskus
You heal with potions, the silver flames gifts and by wand. Kaskus the dwarf is glad to see you but is angry over the death of his beloved companion, and greatly saddened upon hearing of the deaths of the two jade ravens, He says the forth jade raven Liamae was taken below and he is looking to avenge his friends
You make your way down into the gloomy basement of the manor. Water from the central pool in the courtyard flows though this room, cascading though a gate in the south wall and flowing though a gate in the north wall. This gate is rusted though, with only a few shards of what was once a gate left. Great swaths of mud stain the floor here making movement slow and difficult. To the west great slobby laughter and a woman's cry's can be heard along with an odd clinking sound
As you get to the bottom of the stairs you see the cause of the norise. Seated upon one of the overstuffed chair is a very fat bullywug , three others are standing close by he is being amused by a blond woman wrapped in a bed sheet as a large insectile monster with a strange propeller-shaped protrusion at the end of its tail, and two long, feathery antennae. seems to bite at her and whips it's antennae about
The fat bullywug lets out great bellowing laughter at her as she looks to be desperately trying to keep the beast from touching her
Upon entering the room the beasts head seems to whip toward the party it clanks excitingly as it charges toward the group intent on Guard it's antenna whipping about but the warforged fends off this odd creature with his hammer, Finn stabs at it but slips in the mud and misses his mark, the three bullywugs hurl axes at the party, Guard and Finn both are hit5 and 7 hp. The fat bullywugs stands ans laughs saying something in it's bubbly language

Before anyone else can act, Daurros will push his way in front of Ardanto, and cast his final (non-cantrip) spell. He'll cast color spray and try to get as many of the bullywugs in it as possible (he's not overly concerned with catching the human woman, since it's not a lethal spell)...

Ardanto ignores the beast, the bullywugs and any other danger and makes his way across the muddy chamber to he woman wrapped in the sheet, intent on rescuing her from following a similar fate as her friends.
I can use a move to get next to her, leaving me a standard action to cut her free or pick her up, which ever is most appropriate. Yes, I understand that puts me only a few steps away from all 4 bullywugs, but its a pirate hero sort of thing to do.

Daurros's spell sweeps out in a cone of color catching one bullywug and the creature drops to the muddy floor. Lavinia jumps the rail and heads across the muddy floor to dig her blade into the beast attacking Guard as Ardanto runs across the floor and into the stream of water, scooping the sheeted woman over his shoulder to her surprise as he levels his sword at the three bullywugs remaining.
Finn , Guard and Toxim finish off the beast attacking Guard as Thoven takes aim at the bullywugs on the far side of the room, his arrow sailing uselessly into the gloom . liamae despite being scooped up by Ardanto and hanging over his shoulder lets off some type of spell at the bullywugs to seemingly no effect Kuskas with a determined look wades into the room
One of the bullwugs runs around ardanto to strike at Daurros, bashing the wizard with it's club8hp The other two come at Ardanto and liamae , the fat one lets out a belly laugh as it comes. Ardanto takes a solid hit from the smaller bullywug11hp as he barely avoids a blow by the large one.

Finding himself surrounded by Bullywugs and wounded heavily, Ardanto hesitates delaying his actions You know lass, this rescue isn't going as well as i planned," he comments to the lady drapped over his shoulder. He will then use a full round action to withdraw from combat with his passenger, getting her as far towards the back of the group as he can, limping ever so slightly from his new wound.
I can only avoid one attack of opportunity with a withdraw action at the start of the round, so I will delay until initiative count 5 and then move, trusting that my companions have dropped one of them.
"You okay old chum?" he asks with concern as he passes Daurros.

Daurros hits the bullywug attacking him with his ice ray as Lavinia steps forward to strike at him with her sword, but it holds off her assault as Finn steps behind her and brings the beast down with a fast thrust of his spear. Thoven's arrow strikes at the bullywug with the large club but is unable to hit, as Toxim's arrow digs into he other bullywug, Kaskus wades forward and unsuccessfully attack the bullywugs as Ardanto retreats with a shrieking liamae on his shoulder. Guard moves forward but is unable to get near the combats due to the mud slowing his speed and only nears the sleeping one
The bullywug attacks Kaskus blooding the drawf 5hp As the fat one with a yell charges toward guard, but is unable to get though the warforges defenses

He seeks to get next to Guard and the big bad boss frogman.
"You know what froggy?" he screams, "I would be very afraid in your situation!"

Daurros points and a ray of ice finds it's way to the bullywug attacking Kaskus as Lavinia sloshes though the mud to aid Kaskus her blade bleeding the bullywug. Adanto drops liamae in a heap as he drawls his blade fighting the muddy floor to close in and help Guard. Finn steps forward to strike at the fat one but amazingly it finds off the spear thrusts. Both Toxim and Thoven fire at the fat bullywug, only Toxim hitting the massive creature. Guard strikes at the large bullywug only to have his blows knocked aside by the club. Across the room Kaskus finishes off the other bullywug
On his own now the fat one lets out a bubbly roar and comes at Guard with his club, hitting the warforged with a mighty blow16hp even as the cloak burns him as he lands his blow6hp

Daurros again firs his icy ray but only freezes a post of mud upon the floor as Lavinia sloshes forward in a vain attempt to strike at the bullywug but his defense is to great. Ardanto steps over the knocked out bullywug slashing at the fat one, but he to can not brake the laughing bullywugs defenses,but it leaves an opening as one of Finn's strikes barely gets in, wounding the bellowing bullywug. Again Thoven and Toxim let loose arrows only to have one strike the bullywug, he seems to pay little mind. Guard however comes in with a powerful blow, hurting the fat one,Kaskus charges in but does not land a blow as liamae picks herself off the floor. The charging dwarf however catches the enraged bullywugs club and is dropped in a blow that catches him in the face and sends his teeth flying

Attacks by Lavina, Finn, and Guard all get though, as Toxims and Thovens arrows go wide, bleeding from many wounds the bullywug tries to withdraw but catches Finns spear as he gets to near, the great fat bulk slides into the muddy water, blood turning it crimson. The group is left with nothing but there own panting and the babbling of the waters along in the muddy basement.
With that the Manor was cleared, nothing was left save clean up. The city guard arrived shortly there after, and a runner was sent for healers. Not only have you earned the gratitude of Lavina vanderborn, but your renown reaches across the city. Soon your names are known in circles of the city, it begins to open doors for you all. Heroes of the hour can get in places that a mere month ago would have turned you away at the door.
The remainder of the jade ravens have not forgotten you as well,Kaskus inform you he owes you a life dept. Something a dwarf never takes lightly while Ardanto seems to have the enthusiastic gratitude of Liamae, who seems to show a great interest in "her hero"
Lavinia holds a banquet for the party a week after the attack, gifting the party a sum of 100 pp each for what she calls "Bravery of heroic proportions". Not only that but she raises each member of the millennium falcons pay to 200 gp per month
And folks with that we wrap up part 2 of The savage tide. You will have 6 months of in game down time, to sell, and craft or buy, train or what have you. Also I will be adding stuff here and there for each of you over the next few day. Also guys you are now 5th level:)

After having finished the clean up of the estate and not being needed immediately anymore, Guard leaves the picked up weapons behind, heading off, on the grounds of the canals walking, back to his workshop.
(He gives the two magical ones to Daurros, for Identifying and savekeeping)
Back at his workshop, he tells Kerinith to go his own way for some time.
Kerinith and the rest of the Millennium falcons never encountered Guard in such a mood, but he is nowhere to be found for the next day or two.
Only after that time he is back in his workshop, and Snem is at his side again.
On the banquet of Lavinia, he thanks the Lady for the money and gladly takes it, as well as the raise.

Within a week the group makes it's way back to the cove, but there is little here. Most seems to have been cleared out. Some of the silks hang in the cave 8 of which can be saved and a nice if waterlogged collection of books. Nothing else save the stink of death and decay is left within the caves. Gard however finds the remains of the fist sized black pearl. It seems to have shattered into 5 shards.

They might not be the wealthiest customers, but I think that would make a nice gesture. If noone objects, that is." he speaks, addressing no person in particular.

Daurros is more than happy to make a wondrous item, provided he meets the caster level and spell requirements (and Guard pays the bill ;-)).

After accompanying the others to the smuggler's cove and back, Finn calls for a conference.
"Gentlemen, although Lavinia is safe -- for now -- there are still two things that bother me.
First and foremost, Vanthus is still a free man. I won't rest until he faces justice. Master Toxim, this is not your fight, but you are welcome to join our cause.
But second, it appears that we're being targeted by another group of assassins. Who are those clowns who attacked us during the festival. Were they Lotus Dragons? Were they working for Vanthus? What is the strange language they speak?
I think we need to investigate these two factions. Hopefully we can find them before they find us. I'm still not familiar with this city, but maybe you others can make some discreet inquiries." He looks at Daurros, Ardanto and Toxim in particular.
