Kronag shifts targets to the apparent leader, and heaves a violent throw with his sling, catching the creature between the eyes.
Disheartening/Furious on W (1d20+6=24, 1d6+4+1d8=13)Disheartening Strike hits, and I use Furious Assault again (it wasn't used last time because I missed), total 13hp and he is, if still up, rattled -- -2 to attacks TEOMNT. Still stuck.
"Gyahhhhh" the shot slams hard into the wyrmpriests skull. An actual dent can be seen. It's a wonder that he or the slinger are still standing. More amazing that they still fight on!

Thanks for the heads up Kronag, hey wait a minute, what are you doing all the way back there? Lareth shouts as he glances at the encroaching fire.
Heedless of the danger he leaps on to the trestle table in front of him and slides feet first, cups, plates and other merchandise scatter everywhere. He slips past Corrin with a glib hello laddie before dropping off the stall to land next to the Kobold spellcaster. Murder written across his face he states this is for Jonathan you sack of s!!%!
"I'll kill you monster" g1 screams heading at the wyrmpriest. The slinger fumbling with his next shot doesn't even notice the charging warrior.
1d20+6=21, Damage 4. Dang never thought that would hit
g1 plunges his blade deep into the kobolds chest. the wyrmpriest coughs up blood seemingly on his last legs.
g4 stands from the ground and rubs his aching head.
Lareth's attack is the topping on the cake. The wyrmpriest falls dead on his face. The slinger looks shocked, and wonders to fight on or run.

"That was most uncivilized." Jocarra says. "Did you see how they harmed me, that just will not do. Yes, yes, it's time to punish them. With claws." The girl gestures towards the two remaining kobolds, and suddenly spiritual cats appear from the air, leap and claw at them, and vanish.
Twin Panthers. Initial Target: SL. 1d20+6=10 Likely a miss. Second target: W. 1d20+6=15 Damage to any hit: 1d8+4=6
Jocarra, W is already down. My mistake for being in a rush and not updating the order correctly. I applied the second attack to SL.
The slinger shrieks one last time as the soectral claws rip flesh.
g1 and 4 are left panting, greenhorns not fit for the field yet. The fire rages on ingiting everything in sight!
The party can help man the water bucket. Taking the place of those closest to the flame. Doing so is a grueling task. The repeated moving and dumping of buckets. Added to that the intense heat now coming from the blaze. Alternativly members with cold powers have the ability to put out squares with a successful attack roll.
This counts as a skill challenge (4 successful endurance checks before 2 failures). Diplomacy can be used in the challenge (does not count toward a failure or success), inspiring the towns folk and party members. Resulting in a +2 bonus to the next Endurance check made. Also would it be easier for you as group to keep the same initiative (Brazimal would be next in case)? If so the fire will go on SL's initiative, growing two squares.
I'm happy to stay in initiative order but Lareths Diplomacy is only +2 and his endurance is even worse so he's going to have to do some assisting and help with the bucket brigade I think
Lareth takes a deep breath relieved that the fight is over and coughs repeatedly as he realises the extent of the fire that has started overwhelming the common.
He casts about looking for the reassuring figure of Sergeant Gerdrand, surely he'll know what to do.
While looking around his eyes settle upon the struggling half-orc Kronag. Don't worry K, I'm on my way.
People often said that a half-orc and half-elf would never be friends and of course it started out that way, but over time a mutual respect developed between the two and if not exactly friends then at least companions in battle.
When its my go I'll move over to Kronag quickly and assist him to break free. hopefully giving him a +2 on his next save. If its needed athletics (1d20+7=23)to help Kronag break free.
Brazimal looks at the growing fire with dismay. She rushes forward and points her finger at the nearest group of flames and casts a spell, a beam of ice rushes towards the fire.
Corrin spends a few moments rubbing his forehead when he realizes the fire is getting dangerously close, at which point he makes an odd yelping noise and vaults away from the shop. "Come on everyone, haul those buckets! Fast now, or the whole market will burn down! And after that, the whole town! Come on, carry those buckets!..." Overall, he's oddly inspirational for that's only knee-high.
Hey guys, I wanted to let you know that I'm going to be out of town from tomorrow afternoon til monday evening sometime. Feel free to DM PC me as needed.
Let's keep this water pumping Lareth says as he puts in a monumental effort to save as many of the stalls as possible.
During a short lull he asks to anyone who'll listen, so has anyone heard of these Bonecrushers before, I mean I know theres been trouble on the roads into town but this is pretty serious when they start to come right in like this!
thanks for the top roll btw Laz. I'll stay helping with the buckets till the fires out or we have to fall back
I suggest after Corrin and the fire go, that we drop out of init order to speed things up -- I think Kronag being stuck was the only thing where initiative mattered much
The brigade passes the buckets as quickly as they can. Corrin's words keep them and the rest of the party motivated. Sweat pours from Lareth, the flames licking at his skin.
Bit by bit the flames are bring put out, but at the same time they still slowly spread.
Successes 2 Failures 0. The next endurance check has a +2 bonus thaks to Corrin. If everyone's okay with dropping intitative, I'm good. If not Kronag's up.
I'm happy to drop out of init order, etiher way my next action will be since I'm going to be off line for 24hrs
Lareth, while busily passing buckets notices a couple of villagers, in fact fellow workers from the Fallcrest stables are having difficulty breathing from all the smoke. Hey, you guys you need to move away from there. He drops out of line quickly and gets them away from the danger area and helps them recover.
I'll try to help some people who are suffering from smoke inhalation, hopefully it can help with the skill challenge. Heal check (1d20+6=18)
We better not need many more successes. I can't think of any more inspirational things to yell. Diplomacy:28
Well right now we're sitting at 3 successes, and one failure. But your diplomacy checks have been helping out alot. Though one more failure and the challenge is over.

Kronag, his comrades, the whole town rise to the challenge. Over the next hour the fire is finally contained, embers put out. Townfolk come and thank the the heroes for saving the town and containing the fire to the Green.
"This reminds of a story from the Bloodspear War. As the orcs ravaged..." Teldorthan walks by Kronag and begins talking about the past. After spending so much time with the old dwarf your sure you've heard this one before.
The guards and militia crew begin cleanup of the Green when they all of sudden come to attention and salute. Cominng up the green is a handsome man in his fortys. Lareth instantly knows the man as Nathan Faringray, captain on the militia.
He asks one of the men a question and he points in Lareth's direction. "I hear you were the first one to respond to the attack" he hold a hand out "Good work soldier. If not for you and your friends this could have become worse. I hope to hear a report of the event"
Jocarra takes the time to slip by the people and go to Sandercot Provisioners to buy her families goods.
Brazimal, caught up in excitement of flexing her mystical muscle, realizes she's almost forgot about Nimozaran.
As people continue on, one thing still nags in your minds. "How did kobolds enter the town? And what was with their behavior?"
Unaccustomed to being addressed by such an august person Lareth stammers a reply W..Well thank you s...s..ir, I j...just saw some smoke comin from the Lucky Gnome and I just sort a reacted, I hope that's ok?
Oh, a..a.also sir, they were carryin on about someat ta do wit the Bonecrushers, but I got no clue what they mean.
I'll spend 2 healing surges to get back to full hp as we rest
"Bonecrushers, eh. They're one of the many tribes located in and around the Cloak Wood. But to see them here, and attacking with such ferocity..." Nathan pauses as he surveys the charred Green "Do you know if anyone noticed anything before the attacks?"
Trying to make himself scarce, Kronag disappears into the flock of onlookers and guardsmen.
Through the corner of his eye he notice something. The slingers bag which he was keeping his shot looks oddly full, and Kronag notices a green ball hanging out the side.
Opening the bag the half-orc finds a rusted metal loop. On the loop scales of differnet shades of color. A crudely made bone charm, etched to look like a dragons head.
16 stone bullets, but it's what's in a bottom of the that's most interesting, and disturbing!
12 small pots! Each pot is one of three colors (Red, Green, White). Kronag knows instantly what the red and white pots are. Having been stuck in place by th kobold glue and watching as Adrana was engulfed in flame. The green remains a mystery.
Rolled randomly for this, and invisblecastle wound up rolling high... REALLY high.
2 Stinkpot (Green): The target takes a –2 penalty to attack rolls (save ends). Though Kronag doesn't now this yet.
8 Firepot (Fire, Red): The target takes ongoing 2 fire damage (save ends).
2 Gluepot (White): The target is immobilized (save ends).
"Bonecrushers, eh. They're one of the many tribes located in and around the Cloak Wood. But to see them here, and attacking with such ferocity..." Nathan pauses as he surveys the charred Green "Do you know if anyone noticed anything before the attacks?"
N...no sir, I don't remember seeing anything strange at the kings gate before the fire. Maybe some of the others that helped me fight them off may have seen somethin, there were a few people running away when I got here, maybe they have an idea.
"Check with you friends see if they saw anything before the attacks. If they did report to me or your watch sergeant. Whatever you do don't try to tackle this job alone" He gives Lareth a smile and a nod and goes checking on the cleanup.
