Higher Than Hope [a star wars saga by samerandomhero]
Captain T'ilaqua Lariat,

S 4 -Princess-of-Space F avatar

Sorry about my absence... I've been busy this week and haven't had the time to devote to PbPs.

T'ilaqua's sensors pick up something bad about to go down right before the lasers scythe their way through the Cantina. She raises her pistols towards the operators of the Walker, only to see the whole thing go flying though the air as Jern's Force Power throws it backwards.
Shaking her head, she quickly puts a call in to Sabaac. "How are you going with that prep Sabaac. Things just got very ugly here and I believe we're going to need to make our way off planet very soon. I'll be with you as soon as I can"
She turns to Hunter. "I don't suppose you know what in the Sith is happening here do you? What were those dan Jedi thinking being all noble like that. They're going to get the rest of us killed."
She looks back outside. "I don't know how long before that Walker is back online or reinforcements arrive, but that is certainly no Law Enforcement I've ever seen."
She turns towards the others hurrying everyone into the tunnels. Are we leaving through the tunnels? I think I'm going to just return to my ship. This place is becoming too hot for my liking and the spare parts can definately wait until the next planetfall."

The Jawa looks around nervously, sensing danger. He runs outside, next to the Walker, and closes his eyes, trying to detect the presence of Sith. He shouts something to the droid, and the droid follows, to stand next to its master.

No presence of the dark side is felt by Yikku.

Welcome back, flash. I hope all is alright.

The Jawa looks nervous, then nods curtly and watchers Jerrn.

Jerrn holds his lightsaber pointed toward the driver. "Tell your masters that I spared you this day to send a message: The Jedi will not tolerate random violence. We ain't dead, we're just quiet. Just like the serpent you don't see 'till it strikes." He then allows the man to run away.

Captain T'ilaqua Lariat,

Yeah just busy with work.

Tia shakes her head at the Jedi, preferring to stand back out of the way and not get so involved.
"We should get moving," she says to the Mandalorian. "Bring the Jedi if we must, but I don't want to be here when their reinforcements arrive."

Jerrn hears the Jawa groaning. The droid speaks to him. "I honestly don't think that that is at all a good idea. They'll just come back to bite us."

My Master used to say the shadow's always more fright'ning than that what makes it. And I aim to see the evil of this galaxy fear the Jedi again, if I got any say in it."

The droid sighs. "Alright, then. Stubborn--" The Jawa yaps something at it, and the droid falls silent.

The AT-RT pilots seem confused at first by Jerns demands, but are getting the picture real fast. They are not going to argue. At all.

One of the Devorians walks out of the cantina and announces that state security usually shows up much faster than this. Very odd, he muses.

[you have all pretty much kicked taken this small scenario quite well, it wasnt very intense I know. I am trying to feel this out. Right now the AT-RT pilots have agreed to Jerns demands and have also assumed that wants them to remain as is for the time being. If the party is feeling like a jump off planet, I am down with that. If the party wants to stay and decide what they would like to do, rock on with that as well.]

Aw, I thought it was very intense. Really made for some good RPing, too. GOod work, keep it up. Again, thanks for DMing.
The Jawa tries to climb up onto the craft to the pilots. He begins shouting at the men, stopping as he realizes the pointlessness. He says something to the droid, and the droid begins translating.
"You two are going to tell us, right now, what the hell is going on. Now. Before we are forced to resort to other measures. I promise you, you will not like them."

The devorian outside goes to the group and whispers that there are places to hide onplanet. If you wish or think you need to...he says. He also mentions in an even more secretive tone, that a special meeting is happening soon on Kamino. One that might interest your type. JUST MAYBE...He says, finishing loudly

Captain T'ilaqua Lariat,

S 4 -Princess-of-Space F avatar

Tia's interest is piqued when the Devaronian mentions the meeting. "Just what kind of meeting," she asks carefully.
She turns to the others. "My ship needs some new parts, so I'm interested if there is a paying job to be had. She turns back to the Devaronian. [b]"Does it have anything to do with this mess and if it involves a job, then how much would it pay?"

The devorian seems to hesitate.... Look, all I really can tell you is yes, they should have parts, and yes about the work. That is of course, available here onplanet too.

Jerrn Darklighter,

"Well sir, I for one am interested. I don't know what jes' went down here, but it seems like bad business for the good folk of this galaxy and I'm all for seeing it stopped."

working with Hunter to fix a major oversight on my part. Blast, it sucks being stupid sometimes!!

The devorian is willing to provide further directions...... and does so for those interested. Kamino is the destination.

While I would like the party to remain somewhat together, I am also cool with occasional splits and solo missions

Hunter Var,

"Kamino." Hunter sheathes his Vibrosword.

"If we need to leave, let's do so, but I would hear more."

The devorian quickly glances around him, he is nervous, no, yes!, nervous is what he is. So quickly have things changed, he cannot grasp them in their fullness. Everything has changed so much in seconds past, the history that was but a couple of breaths ago seems hazy and hard to recollect. But this was destiny wasn't it? Wasn't it!? Violent and Quick the changes almost always were. Fate! Destiny! The Force even...? How was he supposed to know?

His gut was full of turmoil, waves from a powerful storm crashed to and fro, up was down and down was up, could he really let them in so quickly....? He kind of had already....could not be taken back....so much....so soon...they were Jedi...well..most of them anyway...no signs of the Sith were upon them....not even the little one that cried allegiance to those diabolical....those not Jedi had demonstrated bravery...Justice....had they not....he just needed a..a...a sign?...a signal?....a spirit?....a.....

I need a drink!! And a strong one!! No, no, make that a couple of drinks. A couple of Strong drinks! A few Strong drinks! A good many Strong Drinks!!!

samerandomhero (Pathfinder Chronicles Superscriber; GameMastery Superscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber),

8 -Dragon-Attack avatar

Coming out of his hysteria and near meltdown the Devorian heads off to the smoking Cantina.
"Anyone wishing to join me for a drink is welcome to. No matter what though, your answers will be in Kamino. Not here. You can stay if you like, something always comes around workwise. Its a nice planet to relax on, most of the time anyway. If your looking to not relax though, Kamino is an interesting place."

With that, the devorian walks into the cantina and comes back out with a pack on his back while double fisting two bottles of glowing liquor.
A small blaster rifle is hung from a strap connected to harness on his left shoulder.
He nods at you all and starts walking to the starport with purpose.
"Invitation still open. Both of them."

Xarra Nova,

34 Acadamae-Student avatar

Xarra reholsters her pistols... "I'm all about making money...Kamino sounds doable, I'm not liking the atmosphere on this rock today..."

The droid begins speaking with the Jawa. After a moment, he turns back to Jerrn. "We would be honored to accompany you on your journey. my name is I2, and this delightful Jawa is named Yikku. Glad to make your acquaintance." He and Yikku both bow.

Captain T'ilaqua Lariat,

S 4 -Princess-of-Space F avatar

Tia looks around the group gathered before her and shakes her head. She whispers quickly into her wrist computer, telling Sabaac to plot a course fro some planet named Kamino and informs him that she''l be back soon and that there's a job in the works.
She turns back to the others, holstering one of her blasters but keeping the other in hand just in case reinforcemnets do decide to turn up. "I'm T'ilaqua. I do freelance problem solving, so this job sounds right up my alley. I've got a ship, my co-pilot is preping her as we speak. You lot seem handy in a fight, but I wouldn't be too liberal with the use of that lightsaber there. Showing colours like that is likely to get you killed in some of the places I frequent."
She takes in each of the members gathered before her, pointedly ignoring the Devaronian after his first statement about the job.
"So I take it none of you know each other?"

Hunter Var,

"I got a transport floating a league or two off shore, she's got room for a starfighter in her bay too boot, if you want to save some fuel. She can outpace starfighters, so speed isn't an issue."

Ok, Kamino is on any star map and is an open system. It is not restricted yet, and is not Sith territory,....yet.

Almost the entire planet is covered in ocean, multiple starship platforms are available on the many surface and subsurface cities.
Kamino is known most for its cloning. Its residents are usually welcoming of most guests. That is the common knowledge of Kamino.

I am sorry for the wait, I thought you were all going to hop offplanet. If there are any checks you wish to make, any things you wish to do before departure, or if you want your character to stay behind and do something else let me know. Otherwise I am tracking that your PCs are about to jump to lightspeed.
Primarily, I waited to see if you all wanted to introduce yourself, and so forth. This can all be done here or on Kamino. It would probably be better, if you want your character to go to Kamino, to go ahead and go to Kamino and chat it up there. Also, the devorian is heading in the direction of the starport. So if have any further wish to speak with him, he is still in your area. Although, he is moving with a strong sense of urgency, and he is also drinking with a strong sense of urgency.

Xarra Nova,

34 Acadamae-Student avatar

Xarra indicates for R2-X4 for prep the ship for launch on her wrist comp

"We can form up in the atmosphere"

Hunter Var,

"Well, to the black we go."

Turning to the farmboyish kid with the starfighter hunter says:

"You can dock your craft in orbit, it'll be easier than a wet docking from where she sits in the sea currently."

Jerrn Darklighter,

31 Weight Seller Col Final avatar

"Sounds fine to me. See you in space, then!"

Xarra Nova,

Xarra reaches her ship and finishes the protocols to launch, then launches her ship.

Captain T'ilaqua Lariat,

Tia assures the others she will meet them on Kamino and returns to find Sabaac finishing the final preps. She grabs the pilot seat and begins the ignition sequence, slowly lifting off the platform, but waiting until Sabaac is sitting next to her before gunning the thrusters and jetting into space.
Opening up a hailing frequency, she makes sure that she can communicate with the other ships before entering Hyperspace en route to Kamino.

Hunter Var,

Over the open comms:
"Leviathan here, I'll be breaking orbit shortly. Once Farmboy docks I'll be ready to sync up hyperspace jump coordinates. Sending my IFF codes in case this incident put us on someones radar."

Docking DC: Last I checked it was only a DC 15 to avoid a collision while docking, I'll leave the actual DC to the GM though. I do not have a tractor beam, so it has to be done manually.

Jerrn Darklighter,

31 Weight Seller Col Final avatar

I've got a +15 to my Use the Force check and Force Pilot as a talent, so docking shouldn't be a problem...

Hunter Var,

Alright, if it is cool with everybody, I will jump forward to arriving in the Kamino star system. You can decide how you will dock, team up, form up, and so forth. I will not require docking checks unless the docking is being done under intense conditions or extremely unusual situations.
