Deathless (4e)
Hasnett,

B 1-Leucrotta-Attack avatar

Reluctant to move away from where Aden needs her to provide a flank, Hasnett tries to rid herself of the minion behind her and concentrates on getting her powers back.

1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 - Righteous Smite (AC) v M3. On hit an ally within 5 squares gets +3 to next melee attack. Irawaru gets +3.

Can't heal anyone this round - encounter powers are on the fritz thanks to little Mr Controller in the ally.

1d20 ⇒ 12 - save v -2 to defenses
1d20 ⇒ 5 - save v memory rip

Gah. She did actually make both saves, but the roller re-set when I was copying in case of connection issues. Going back to home rolls and IC I think.

Kindly reroll the defense one, please, thanks to Mr. Warlock's Inescapable Hex.

Melora seems to inspire Her little finger to complete the battle, as Hasnett shakes off the effects of the attacks, even as she dispatches another attacker.

Realizing that Aden is rendering him ineffectual while he lives, the thug switches targets, deftly moving to gain a better position to attack the swordmage, but to no avail.

Deft strike vs Aden AC, with concealment, shift two squares before attack: 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (9) + 12 - 2 = 19 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (1, 5) + 2 = 8. Miss.

"Kill the priestess, you fools!" the leader rages as his forces dwindle.

Aden
Elohir

Irawaru
Hoku
m1 (leader) - Until end of encounter, each time Hoku hits the target she slides it 1 square.
m2 (caster) - cursed
Hasnett
m7 (thug) - under Aden's aegis; marked, and if hits target with attack excluding Aden, damage reduced by 6.

Hasnett,

B 1-Leucrotta-Attack avatar

"Oh just grow up," mutters Hasnett under her breath.

Hasnett,

B 1-Leucrotta-Attack avatar

Irawaru - please note that you have a +3 to hit on your next melee attack.

Elohir Miriel,

Consortium Agent Final avatar

Elohir waits nervously to see how much Aden is going to stab him while tears stream down his face.

"Death God" Aden,

A 9 Enrannik Highres avatar

Aden's blade trembles with dark magic

Booming Blade on m7 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24; Damage 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11, and if adjacent at the start of its turn and moves away, takes 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 necrotic and thunder.

Taldor pat512,

D 1-Cover-Small-Dn S-filter avatar

Aden, seemingly unfazed by either Elohir's spell or his sorrow, hacks at the thug, setting him up again for the thunderstrike.

Elohir

Elohir Miriel,

Consortium Agent Final avatar

Elohir pulls himself together long enough to enact a spell of escape, and he turns ethereal and glides through the shadows of the street.

When he rematerialized he seems to have full control of his faculties once more, though tears still stain his cheeks. With a guttural invocation, m7 is cursed with Elohir's darkest dreams.

Purplish black flames coil about Elohir's right arm and gather in his outstretched palm before being expelled in a concussive blast of energy.

Move Action: Ethereal Stride; Teleport to P15 and gain +2 to defenses until EOMNT. Also gain concealment from Shadow Walk.
Minor Action: Curse m7
Standard Action: Eldritch Blast vs. m7; 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 vs. REF for 1d10 + 1d6 + 6 ⇒ (9) + (1) + 6 = 16.

+3 to that attack, Irawaru.

Irawaru,

OK then, that's 21 vs AC :D. Take that, Warlock.

Taldor pat512,

Sadly, it's a 16 due to darkness. And thus a miss.

Taldor pat512,

Hasnett:

Spoiler:
Apologies for the delay in alerting you, but Hasnett is dazed through her next turn. An aftereffect of the memory ripper.

In a characteristic display of bravery, Hoku circles around to immediately in front of the leader and draws him out of the alley, even as she stands her ground to keep him from retreating.

Move to L16. Bait and Switch vs Will, less concealment. 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 13 - 2 = 30 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (3, 1) + 7 = 11. Switch places, decline shift.

This leaves the cloaked figure no choice but to shift into the light before psychically attacking Hasnett again.

Shift to K15. Memory Ripper vs Hasnett Will, incl. concealment and CA (Hasnett is dazed) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2) + 6 = 14 -14hp to Hasnett and memory loss again (se)

The warlock does not care for his odds in a stand-up fight against the barbarian, and so steps back and casts his desiccating curse.

Shift to k8. Attack vs Irawaru Fort 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1) + 3 = 9 -9hp to Irawaru, and -2 to defenses (se)

Hasnett bloodied, -2 to defenses (se), dazed TEOT, no enc/daily/utility (se)
Thug (m7) - marked, under booming blade
Aden
Elohir - concealed, +2 to defenses TBONT
Irawaru - -2 to defenses (se)

Leader (m1)
Warlock (m2) - cursed

Let me know if I missed anything.

Sorry. Originally posted without being able to see the map, connection dropped and just got back online and have now seen it.

Second Wind.

Saves v mind rip and -2 to defenses (1d20=10, 1d20=4). Manually amended. Typed daze instead of mind rip because I'm dumb.

Clear of mind rip but presumably dazed to ENMNT regardless. Still -2 to defenses. 20hp. Can't heal anyone.

Spoiler:
Thanks for the clarification. Edited above to stand still and use second wind. Not likely to do much good, but you never know. Defenses are currently at normal due to +2 second wind bonus.

It is all Hasnett can do to stay upright under the barrage of attacks.

The thug, meanwhile, pinned down by Aden's aegis, shifts around as best he can to protect his leader and stabs at the shadar-kai, missing.

Deft Strike vs AC w/concealment 1d20 + 12 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 12 - 2 = 14 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 5) + 2 = 10

Elohir Miriel,

Consortium Agent Final avatar

Elohir mutters his curse once more and a third point of purple starlight begins to dance within the inky void of his eyes. The more curses he flings about, the calmer his exterior becomes. As m1 feels the terror of Elohir's nightmares claw at the back of his mind, a small smile curls the right side of the half-elf's lips.

Elohir then walks across the street, drawing in the nearby shadows as he does so to create a cloak of darkness.

"Time to stop running little spell-slinger. No one hurts my friend," whispers Elohir with malicious intent.

With a dramatic raising of his hands, Elohir causes the very stones of the street to crack and rend as a black, cyclopean monolith rises up five feet from the leader and his ally. Lightning strikes the structure and the very air around it crackles with energy.

Minor Action: Curse m1
Move Action: Move to P12, gaining concealment from Shadow Walk.
Standard Action: Summon Storm Pillar in I15; Any enemy that moves adjacent to the pillar takes 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 lightning damage. The first cursed enemy to do so this round will take 5 + 1d6 ⇒ 5 + (5) = 10 total lightning damage.

"Death God" Aden,

Aden spins his blade, loosing a torrent of flame

Flame cyclone on m1 and m7, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 vs Reflex; Damage 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 fire

Taldor pat512,

Aden's flame bloodies the thug, but leaves the leader untouched, while Elohir conjures lighting from the street itself.

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (8) + 13 = 21 vs m1, m2, m7 AC (if possible). If hit, 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 damage.

Hoku Te Ulani,

SP 2 Pissed Cleric Highres avatar

That move would be to K12. m1 prob gets OA.

Taldor pat512,

D 1-Cover-Small-Dn S-filter avatar

Irawaru, fighting blind in the pitch black, just misses his opponent.

Irawaru, please save against the defense penalty. If you make it, do it again.

Hoku, I can't see how to get you to K12 without an OA also from m7. But you can do your attack from L12. OA from m1: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Hoku darts about the battlefield, just missing a swipe from the leader's dagger, then shows how daggerwork should be done, drawing blood from the leader and the thug.

Reading the non-typoed rolls in order. Hit M1, miss M2 due to darkness, rolling for attack against m7 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (19) + 13 = 32. Hit M7.

The leader, continuing a winning tactic, pummels Hasnett psychically once more.

Memory rip vs base Will, with CA: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 12 + 2 = 29 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6) + 6 = 15 -15hp to Hasnett, and the usual special effects.

Save v memory rip (1d20=18)

Save v -2 to defenses (1d20=5)

Despite her success in getting her memories back, Hasnett still feels far too weak. She curses inwardly. And a little outwardly.

Taldor pat512,

D 1-Cover-Small-Dn S-filter avatar

Hasnett tries to regroup and shake off the effects of the combined assault but is still dazed and shaken.

The thug (m7), bloodied and pinned between Aden and the storm pillar, takes the better part of valor. He steps back warily from the swordmage, then turns and bolts down the alley, past his leader.

Taldor pat512,

D 1-Cover-Small-Dn S-filter avatar

Aden misses, but blocks a route of possible escape, helping trap the leader against the pillar.

Elohir

Elohir Miriel,

Consortium Agent Final avatar

Elohir's eyes crackle with purple energy for a moment as he conjures up a repressed image from his most horrible nightmares. Sweat beads his brow and he starts to tremble at the memory, but he keeps his wits about himself long enough to form a connection with the leader and briefly share the horror. With a scream, Elohir shows the leader an infinity of impenetrable darkness where strange alien things writhe and howl in the darkness all about him and the only visible light is a single, pulsing purple star.

"Look...at...it...and TREMBLE!" Elohir manages to mutter from a raspy throat nearly overcome with terror.

Standard Action: Curse of the Dark Dream vs. m1; 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 vs. WILL for 3d8 + 5 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 7) + 5 + (5) = 27 psychic damage and on a hit, I will slide him to J15 where he'll take an additional 5 lightning damage.

Hoku moves to start blocking any retreat the leader may have in mind, and casts her dagger. It does not have the intended effect, but still cuts a gash in the opponent's leg.

    Walking Wounded vs M1 Fort 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14. Sorry, Hoku. Half of 2d4 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12. 6hp to leader.

The leader rips his -- or its? -- cloak off, revealing nothing human. It is difficult even to tell how it could have spoken with such a malformed head -- and extremely toothsome jaws. Only Aden is close enough to receive the full effect, and the normally stalwart swordmage recoils in terror.

    Horrific Visage vs Aden Will 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 and push. -12hp psychic to Aden

Elohir moves around the battlefield, collecting shadows to conceal himself, and then funnels darkness from the furthest reaches of space to chill the leading spellcaster and make him vulnerable to enemy attack.
