Okay, this is the home of my Scarred Lands campaign. We will be using the Scarred Land setting with Pathfinder Beta. We will be focusing on Ghelespad for the time being. All the races from Pathfinder Baeta and the various Scarred Lands books are open, so long as they have a +0LA. All classes are open from Beta. If you would like to use a non-core class let me know what class and what supplement it's in and I will review it and let you know.
I'd like to make a request. I've alwys wanted to play an unarmored fighter. Would it be possible to use the defence bonus from Unearthed Arcana? If not, could I use the fighter's armor bonus without armor?

oooh, I'm a scarred lands nut and would love a chance to play, though I've not tried PBP. What's involved and is it too late to sign up?
With a pbp, you either use a trackable die-rolling website like Invisible Castle or roll at home for the die. Then you make an alias to post in character and use as a virtual character sheet and start playing.
How many players are you willing to take on David? I have no exp with Scared lands whatsoever either but it sounds interesting. I have a 'liberated' Wild Druid (new class-check out Gal or Ali if there is space and they meet your approval) who was found adrift with no adventure to call a home the same time as Ivo's Rogue ;-)
Okay. We have seven players so far. That is about the max that I want to run, so as of now enrollment is closed. Our group consists of Gin, Jolly Roger, James Keegan, Firbolg, Khaladon, Pavel, and Seeker of Shadows. Look for an introductory post sometime Monday.

Oh, Pavel is my character alias for this game, so you have six.

Look's good. I have no opposition to this type of character. One bit of information is that many places look down on druids, and sometimes actively persecute them. This is because they are viewed as worshipers of the "Titans," elemental forces that ravished the land for untold eons until they were defeated in the Divine War about 150 years ago. The world itself is called the Scarred Lands because it is still trying to recover from the scars of the Divine War. However, among some cultures, like the elves of Vera-Tre they are still revered and fill a role similar to what clerics do in other cultures.

Sorry, I didn't catch that. I'm still going to say enrollment is closed at six.
Edit:Ironically I had left Pavel's name off the list when I first typed it. Funny how that works.
Cool. Thanks. I guess I assumed from the recruiting thread he was in, then was away from the computer for a day and thought I'd missed out. I'll make the changes for Pathfinder and get him rolling.

Ivo's character sheet should be updated now. Since bard and rogue are the halflings two favored classes would Factotum which is kind of a combination of both be one? If so then HP is 10 instead of 9. I'll work on background, but briefly Ivo's background including being associated with the High temple of Hwyrdd in its search for artifacts and history, through family connections.

OK, I have to ask some stupid questions since I've never done this before. Where can I access these "virtual character sheets"?
I'd like to make a cleric, if that's OK. I'll need some particularly obnoxious god of justice or something of the sort. A god that encourages self-righteousness and the handing out of pamphlets.
JollyRoger- Corean (LG, God of paladins, the forge, fire, protection; favored weapon longsword) or Hedrada (LN, God of cities, law, learning, etc.; favored weapon hammer) would be good choices. Both have city-states dedicated to them. Mithril, the city of Corean, sits on the coast of the Blood Sea and is presided over by an enormous Mithril Golem made by the god during the Divine War. Hedrad is the city of Hedrada, miles south on the coast. It's a city a learning, commerce and law with the most effective and organized criminal syndicate (called The Scaled) operating within its walls. Both clergies are likely to wear sandwich boards and hand out pamphlets (after destroying any nearby Titanspawn, of course).
And to make your character sheet to post under, go to "My Account" and create an Alias, like filling out your own profile. When you write a post, there's a drop down "Post As" option where you can choose what alias is going to show up.
David- What are we doing for favored class? Extra hit point?

Hedrada, God of Laws, Cities and Trade- he's a bit of a prig so sounds perfect.
Since I've not done this befor either, is this a game that's run in real time and if not, what's the procedure in handling actions?
Usually the GM posts the set-up or situation, you post your action/reaction with any pertinent rolls and then once almost everyone has had a chance, the GM dictates what happens next in another post. The game unfolds over a course of weeks and months; it's pretty unusual for everyone to each post once a day.

No, Factotum's would not get the favored class hit point.

The game is going to start in Mithral if that helps you Jolly Roger. Yes, we will be using extra hit points for favored class.
Mithral has long been the bastion of the divine forces in the Plain of Lede. Originally a home for the faithful of Corean, it's stratigic location has attracted others and the city has developed two distitince areas, Temple City and Harbor City. The clerics and palidans of Corean keep peace as well as they can, but as long as the lawless rabble in Harbor City keep to their own district, they are contint to leave them be. However, as of late, something has been preying on the citizens of Harbor City. Mutilated bodies have been left lying in the streets and many more have simply vanished. The city elders fear that some dark force has taken root in the ancient tunnels below the city, but vengaurak and Proud incursions along the Norther Perimeter have drained the city's defenders of their strength. As a result the leaders of the city have sent out a cry for noble and truehearted adventurers who will be willing to enter the ancient tunnels and root out the darkness below.

Edit: From now on the off topic discussion should be moved over to the campaign discussion thread.
I really appreciate the offer, David. However, I must decline. Not that it matters since you are full up.

It is things like this that really ruffles my fur when it comes to class based systems.
Ivo, ever anxious and curious, makes sure he shows up wherever the call for help states several hours early. This is the reason he gets up every morning. A chance for adventure.
Sitting on a hill and looking towards the awe inspiring golem, Gin relaxeds. The day, though short, has been long and stressful. Gin spent the early part of the morning and afternoon filling out requsitions and other documents for his squad. The commander didn't feel like bothering with it, and passed the task to Gin.
"...Not that I had a problem doing the paperwork. I just wish I hadn't missed morning exercises", Gin thinks to himself. He watches as few clouds pass overhead.
"What a beautiful d...",
"GIN, hey Gin!" a voice calls out at the bottom of the hill. Sitting up Gin sees his friend Kal, a soldier like himself. "What is it, Kal?"
"The c...commander asked me...to come find you", he says panting. "Did he say why", Gin looks at his friend.
"No only that it is important." he says, still trying to catch his breath.
As Gin stands and begins to make his way back, Kal lays down on the grass staring up. "You have to be the most out shape soldier in the history of Mithril," Gin says jokingly.
"Probably", Kal remarks still staring up at the clouds.
Kelindra walks through the stone and marble halls of the Church of Corean. She approaches an oak door and taps softly. When beckoned to enter, she quietly enters her mentor's office. She speaks softly from habit as Brother Merling is often to be found in the library.
"Brother," she starts, "there is a call for those to fight evil and darkness beneath the city. I wish to lend my sword. Is it pride compelling me? or duty? I would have your counsel before I leave."
The door creaked open as Gin entered the commander's office. The older man looked up from his paperwork. "Ah Gin," he said, "the city leaders are putting together an expedition to explore the tunnels and clear out anything living in them. They think it might have something to do with the recent murders and disapperances that have been happening. If I know they type that will be attracted to this, it's going to be a bunch of untalented, undisciplined amatuers. I'm assigning you to go along and make sure that they don't get into to much trouble."
Kelendra Snow
Spoiler:
Brother Merling stroked his chin. Then he turned and smiled warmly. "I know of this quest you speak of young one. It has been sanctioned by Barconious himself. When the leader of the Mithral Order, the Chosen of Corean himself issues a call, duty demands that we answer it. If my duties did not require me here, I would join you. Go with Corean's blessing."
After morning drills with the other junior vigilants and taking care of his other duties, Pavel tries in vain to neaten up and slips into the city, headed for the neighbourhood closest to the golem. In the wilds and on the road, Pavel can almost always tell where he's going and how to get there (or at the very least reason out a likely course) but the city seems to throw him. He very soon finds himself wandering aimlessly, not recognizing any landmarks besides the looming construct.
"Ah, blood and ashes.", he curses, looking left and right. Coloring a bit, he remembers his present company.
"Sorry, sorry", he mumbles to no one in particular,"forgot my manners."
He looks about for a priest or a guard, someone that would know the area.
"Excuse me? I'm looking to offer my help to the city; the recent call for adventurer types? Can you direct me toward the office in..in charge of that?"
