Caladan's eyes narrow suspiciously as he pushes himself away from the crowd clustered around the gaming table. Alert and wary he begins moving into some space, seeking to get his back to a wall if at all possible.

Branth shrugs. "I've got an acquaintance who's doing the gambling." She points out Raoh, who is currently making out like a bandit at his gaming table. "That one there, surrounded by all of those unhappy people and taking their gold." She chuckles.
"And you?" she asks, tasting the ale in a large gulp.
Bron Islar wrote:
"As for me, not much of a gambler but couldnt resist the possibil..." Bron catches himself, having more to drink then he should have. Bron didnt want to reveal the real reason why he decided to enter, quickly says "possibility of meeting new ladies."
Branth rolls her eyes at this. "Well, I hope you meet some then," she says with nonchalant sarcasm.

Bron adds " Well it was a pleasure meeting you, and thanks for sharing this round." And with a sincere smile and a slight nod adds "Good luck in your travels."
With that Bron moves out into the crowd heading towards the tables.
Branth watches Bron navigate the thick crowd, but then either seems to lose track of him or lose interest in watching him. She slowly drinks the free mug of ale.

Branth drains the dregs of the mug, sets it heavily on the bar, and begins moving deliberately, like a walking boulder, towards the back of the room.

Tried to post this last night but the thread slaad ate it. Uathach won six eyes on his last hand. However there is still too much commotion for him to tell exactly what is going on. As Bron and Caladan notice the man in the lavatory, he steps out and begins to read from the scroll he was preparing.
I need Initiative rolls from everyone. However, only Bron and Caladan get to act on this first round.

Apologies. I kind of thought I had. Caladan has taken his cue from the people in the back. He's moved into space and closed his eyes for a few seconds. I figured that was the first round. Maybe the DM would clarify whether that has finished?

and is that the map that comes with Second Darkness? or did you make that one? and if so, which program?

Those are thugs on the map. T1 is the man with the scroll, T2 is the one eyed woman, and the others don't really stand out other then having their eyes closed. I made the map by pasting the map from Second Darkness into Windows Paint and then editing it.

Taking his cue from the thugs, Caladan has his eyes closed as he moves into space, heading towards P22 so as to get his back against the pillar and get a clear view of the room. He will also ready his bow (a free action via quick draw feat).

After I see what's really happening, as a paladin, I'm not just going to attack immediately since I need to see what's really heppening...have I previously detected evil on any of these individuals? Was one more evil than the next? So, if they begin attacking, I'll charge the nearest if possible, if not, I'll move toward them, jumping on a table to get the high ground

Bron is standing in square J-15
Bron draws his twin shortswords, knowing with all the people around melee would be the best route. Bron heads left a several feet2 squares west, 4 squares north ending in block H-12 then turns north to take cover behind the pillar

The tables are scattered around the room. You cannot be certain if you used Detect Evil on any of them or not.

As bron moves across the room to behind the Pillar, the man with the scroll completes his spell. Suddenly the braziers explode with bright flashes of light.
Everyone, except Bron who is sheltered and Caladan who has his eyes closed, needs to make a Will save.

My earlier posts have been eaten! Starting spot P17
Raoh sighs, and rubs his still burning eyes "I swear no one in this town can go a day without being robbed, 'kissed' or worse"
He slowly moves forward and unsheathes his blade. As he does the thing begins to uncoil.
"I guess asking you nicely to leave is out of the question, no?"
With a flick of his wrist the blade heads for the thugs.

Caladan releases an arrow at the man who read from the scroll, however in the crowded room he finds it difficult to get a clear shot.
Attack 1d20+5=7, damage 1d8=2 (Standard Action)
Moving towards a nearby table, Caladan prepares to climb up to get a better vantage point. (Move to N20, or other nearby square with a table he can climb onto next round). (Move Action)

Bron slips into the shadows, apparently unnoticed by anyone. Two of the thugs rush forward and swing at Raoh, but both miss badly. The third thug left standing slashes at Uathach but also misses. The spellcaster pulls another scroll from his pocket and pushes his way through the panic stricken crowd to the large chest in the center of the room. The one eyed woman begins singing a tune about valor and courage as she pulls a rapier from her waist. Uathach slashes at the guard who attacked him, but his arm is jostled by a running gambler and he misses. Caladan's shot goes wide as he too tries to avoid hitting innocent bystanders.
