"So. Since nobody would give me my zombies...," Alwyn beaks into a mock pout, "let's put mommy's boys to good use. A well-thrown corpse should trigger the trap."

Cool! Chuck a corpse in and see! Heh heh....

You chuck a corpse, floor collapses, yada yada...
Hudak and Alwyn head back to Mammy's room, grab a zombie and bring it back, throwing it at the couch. With a crash, the floor, couch and zombie shell fall into a pit.

Elisile waits impatiently whilst the Shoanti brothers have their fun with the pit, privately thinking that it would have been easier to leave it, come back and thoroughly explore this place once all the ogrekin are dealt with and prisoners found. She keeps an eye out for any lurking dangers. Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (18) + 12 = 30. She’ll also listen at the next door they try: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32

Elisile doesn't hear anything when she listens at the door, but she certainly can smell something. When Hudak opens the door he finds the real privy for the Graul clan. Series of pits are dug into the floor that crawl with maggots and stink abominably. One of the pits is different, though it is filled with tiny bones.

This filthy bedroom contains little more than a lumpy mattress heaped with twigs, mud, and hopefully little else, although the stink of sewage in the room would seem to indicate otherwise. Dozens of vaguely humanoid fetishes crafted out of bits of leather, straw, corn husks, twigs, and bones hang from cords throughout the room. The room seems otherwise empty.
It occupies H-J/1-3 and I4.

A thought flashes briefly through Hudak's mind, especially when he sees the heavy blades attached to tightly coiled ropes at the other two doors to this room: "I wonder if we should have got Elisile to check out the door first..." A huge scythe blade hisses through the air at the Shoanti.
1d20 + 15 ⇒ (8) + 15 = 23 to hit, 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 1) + 4 = 7 damage. Quite jammy on the damage.
The room itself is dark and stinks of putrefying flesh. Eight wooden chairs with grinning bleached skulls crowning their backs circle a monstrous four-foot high oak dining table covered with a crude tablecloth of crinkly human leather. The centrepiece to the dining table - a rotting human head, its red stringy hair thankfully draped over its mutilated face - serves as a gathering place for a host of bloated, buzzing flies.
The room occupies J-M/4-8. The other doors are at N4 and N8. The traps on these two doors can be easily disarmed simply by cutting the ropes.

This simple room is strewn with "toys", some of carved wood or bone, while others appear to be little more than partial animal carcasses. Old bloodstains mark the walls, some in patterns that resemble crude child-like paintings featuring images of dismembered horses, a ridiculous grinning horned devil tossing children off a cliff, and a big lake with a black reptilian monster sprouting tentacles fron its back. Bookshelves rest on the wall, but instead of tomes they hold skulls of all shapes and sizes.
Two ogrekin look up from where they squat on the floor, playing with a severed human arm. One looks almost human, though his limbs bend oddly as he jumps to his feet. The other is a hairless, bloated pale thing with malformed stumpy legs and a wide mouth filled with jagged teeth. They growl at Hudak and prepare to rush him.
The room occupies K-P/1-3 and N-P/4-5. Roll initiative. Bendy is at O2, Stumpy is at M3.

Elisile plugs the rubber-limbed ogrekin with an arrow. It sticks grotesquely from the ogrekin's head, though he seems otherwise unbothered. Hudak's hasty blow sails over the heads of the deformed horrors and they laugh at his ineptitude. They respond with fists and teeth.
Bendy punch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24, damage 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Stumpy punch: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9, damage 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Stumpy bite: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19, damage 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Stumpy moves to O3. That's two hits for 7 and 6 damage to Hudak.
Alwyn.

Alwyn elbows his way past the other party members and rushes into melee with the oddly proportioned ogrekin.
Move to P3 before attacking Stumpy, using Power Attack and Destructive Smite. Attack roll 14+8+2(flank w/Hudak)-2(PA)=AC 22, damage 8+5+6(PA)+3(smite)=22. Sadly, Stumpers gets an AoO on me as I maneouver past him.

Vethran hustles into the room after the Shoanti, drawing a wand from his belt as he moves. Finally, moving into position, he levels the wand at the two ogrekin and intones the word of power, unleashing a crackling bolt of electricity that rips through the pair.
Move to O5 (hoping Alwyn soaked up the AoO for me), drawing wand of lightning bolt as part of the movement. Once in O5, standard action to activate the wand, firing down the O line up through O3 and O2, where the ogrekin are. 5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1, 6, 2) = 15 damage, Reflex DC 14 half.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27, 1d3 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 - Alwyn takes 6 damage.
The vile creature savages Alwyn but he is more than repaid with a massive slash across his already hideous face. Vethran insinuates himself into the field of battle and unleashes a crackling lightning bolt. As the after-images are blinked away, the stump-legged ogrekin is found lying on the floor, a blackened corpse. His brother, his hair on end and clothes scorched, sees his kinsman and bursts out into raucous laughter, pointing and jeering.
Stumpy down. Illes.
