Let the chaos begin... [evil grin]

Galvan and Eulagolg dismantle the well. Before they head off, they manage to pull out some torches with Graz, and light them. As they head back over to the traveler's village, they pass Graz, who has just lit the cart on fire, after allowing Grahsvein and Rhythe to exit, of course.

Graz's push sends the cart hurtling down the street, where it eventually turns off the road, and crashes into the side of a building, where it lays as a burning heap. A few seconds later, yells begin, as the small village wakes up.

Meanwhile, Eulagolg and Galvan have invaded the small shantytown made up of lean-to's, carts, and tents. They each light an area up, and cause even more distress in this area as well.

Guards run to the area. Pause for a moment, and turn towards the well. When they arrive, they find no buckets. And fear becomes all-out panic. Confused locals still haven't caught on, and begin to crowd out of thier houses with children and wives among them.

Despite the chaos made by the group, nobody has caught on to the cause of the fire, and the group remains unnoticed...

This is assuming that you haven't yet stepped forward. Also, I would like to give Grahsvein and Rhythe a chance to post

Thanks, Rumblefish.
Grasvein whispers, "Let's lay low for the rest of the night. Tomorrow, we'll go to the jail and free all the prisoners. They'll cause quite a bit of panic. Then, we start murdering the town leaders. All we'll have to do is keep up causing this strife until the townsfolk and the guards are in utter disarray. They'll be completely unable to mount a decent defense against us."

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

"So, we let the guards run themselves ragged trying to keep up their little illusion of order all night, then let out the looters at first dawn's light? Hehe, sounds good to me, my draconic friend.", he smirks.

"Now, slave, where can we stay the night without being found out?"

We do still have Slave-boy sitting around somewhere, right?

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

Petulantly "But I don't wanna wait....ok if I gotta".

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

I believe that you let "slave boy" run off into the night.I think Graz intimidated him? You can easily pick up another slave, who has just wandered past...

"Uh, the Six Monks Bar gets a lot of strange customers, you could probably stay there for the night. Are you guys from the traveler's village that just got burned?"

The idiot has no insight and doesn't realize who he's talking to.

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

I have a feeling Rhythe isn't with us. He hasn't posted in a while... Can anyone contact him in other threads ?

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Let's continue...

The group steps into the Six Monks Bar, where many of the people from the traveler's village are milling around. At the front of the bar, a man sits at a makeshift desk, scrambling with door keys, trying to keep track of who has keys, who needs to pay, who is just looking for a free bed.

"Alright! Let's have order, please!" He yells in a high-pitched voice. "Make a single file line!" This request in unheeded, as everyone wants to make sure they can get a bed for the night.

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

Well, Rythe's player hasn't posted since early October. Also, does the town have any higher rulers then the mayor, i.e. a lord? I thought of a way to get a room without having to fight through an angry mob.

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

I pull my foxhead cowl forward to better cover my features and stick to the shadows, looking for all exits out of the bar.

"Dark one have plan now?"

should we look for other players?

Grahsvein Uzakyn,

Rel avatar

"This is a bad idea," Grasvein whispers, "This is a mob. If they notice what we are, they'll attack at once. That or get authorities. Either way, we'd be discovered."

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Elaugolg Kenafin wrote:

Hmm... guess he's gone, don't need another player though, we have four now.

This town's highest official is the mayor, but it is one of many small towns who have made alliances with eachother. Representatives of each town hold meeting and vote on what should be done about things.

Galvan Ironhorns,

Minotaur 2 avatar

"We know tha secret way outta here. Why not get out that way? We can watch how good they act after an attack and see if any village comes ta help 'em. I say we snag ourselves some eats and stuff, then head out. 'Cause if we're not gonna finish this place tanight, we gotta go."

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

"Well, there goes that plan. Well, if we won't be able to wait until morning, we might as well finish this town off tonight. It's not like we'll be able to get back into the town, after Slave tells everyone how we got in. How did Slave get away, anyway?"

So, any objections to letting out the prisoners, raiding the blacksmith, maybe attacking the mayor's house, then getting the heck out of here?

Rumblefish,

I remember Graz intimidating him. He ran away from the town. As I recall:

Seconded.

Galvan Ironhorns,

Unanimous. Motion passes. Begin sacking. We're already got the burning handled.

"Since tha other two ain't come back we should stick tagether."

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

The group leaves the bar, and heads over to the prison. There, they find the place empty of any guards, warden, or the like. As you enter, one of the few prisoners does a double take. Galvan's enormous body sends him scurrying towards the back of his cell. Until you let him out that is. Throughout the entire operation, none of the prisoners say a word. They scurry out into the night.*

Who are these Prisoners? This is interesting. Here's my rule with Spoiler that I put up: Anyone can read them, but the character only knows the knowledge of they make the check. I require only one Knowledge check to recognize all the prisoners.

*DC 15 Knowledge (local), 10 for Orcs. HALF ORC

Spoiler:
Hagar. a giant half-orc who had gained the respect of all orcs in the area. A few years back, he tried to unite the tribes against the local human population. This attempt failed, when a group of adventurers led by the famous and hated dwarf, Eberk, stopped him. If any orcs are present, he gives them a slight nod, before walking out of the room. He loves fire and the screams of children, and probably won't leave the town right away.

* DC 15 Knowledge (local), 10 for Rogues TIEFLING

Spoiler:
"Tinsle". Nobody actually knows the name of this shift tiefling. Maybe he doesn't even know it. He calls himself Tinsle, but nobody he has anything to really say with usually lives. He walks with a limp, but is surprisingly fast and dexterous. He is probably in here after being caught cheating the local population. He holds no vendetta, so used is he to killing for a price, and will most likely leave town eventually.

*DC 15 Knowledge (local), 10 for Females HALF-ELF

Spoiler:
Marlena. Marlena is the mayor's daughter. She is a half-elf, and the product of the mayor's affair with a young, pretty elf. Of course, never knowing her mother did not help. She was a bully when younger, but her crimes grew worse and worse, until she destroyed the local church. This infuriated her father, and despite the fact that she is his daughter, he locked her in here. She leaves quickly, and will probably stick around to wreak even more havoc.

*DC 15 Knowledge (local) 10 for Magicians GNOME

Spoiler:
"Humble". This little gnome looks like a cute little child, but don't let him fool you, he is the most dangerous thing to have hit the area. Humble gave himself the cute little name to help fool older couples into thinking he was just an innocent orphan. Of course, that night, when they invited him to stay at thier place, things would go missing. And so would Humble. Eventually, the law caught up with him, and he has to be held in a special cell due to his large magical powers. Once freed, he lets out a maniacal laugh, and runs out of the room. There will be hell to pay.

*The last prisoner is the passed out village drunk. :)

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

I presume we use Streetwise for this?
Streetwise:1d20+4=9

Elaugolg unlocks the cell doors.

"Now, everyone, I fully expect all of you to go out there and commit various crimes against humanity."

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

OOPS! I keep forgetting this is 4E. Yes, use Streetwise

Galvan Ironhorns,

Minotaur 2 avatar

Galvan's not really interested in who is there so he makes cursory glances at them. Takes 10 + Streetwise 0 = 10.

"Ya got time ta even a score if ya got one and grab some swag before they get their act tagether. Ya better be gone by then if ya don't wanna get snagged."

If there is an oil lamp here I'll use it to fire the jail after everyone that we are letting out has escaped.

Grahsvein Uzakyn,

Rel avatar

Streetwise: 3

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Anyway... the prisoners are let out, and Galvan begins another fire in the jail. As it begins to light up, I assume you move back to the shadows, for villagers begin to flock anew, and attempt to stamp this fire out before it grows too large. They ultimatley fail, due to the lack of water, and the jailhouse goes up in flames.

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

"Well, shall we move onto the looting portion of this fine adventure?"

Welcome back.

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Thank you/bump. It's been a while. I need to get back into my groove.

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

Sorry for not posting sooner, I was away but just got back from vacation so I will be more attentive to the game.

Prizners free, town on fire, can we kill humons now?

*looks around for the nearest elf , human or guard and then shoots them.*

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

A half-elf guard is standing nonchalantly against a building, looking on as his comrades deal with the flames. Of course, Grax does not like a slacker, so she fires upon him...

Go ahead

Meanwhile, the rest of the group is still running around, searching for loot.

Someone give me a building they wish to raid

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

As I said before, I say we should go raid the blacksmith, then the Mayor, then leave.

Also, Graz is male. If you were waxing philosophical and referred to Bow as a beautiful woman, go right ahead.

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

I mark him with my hunters quarry and use my twin strike
(1d20+6=26, 1d20+6=17
First attack was a natural 20 doing max damage
(1d8=2, 1d10=5]

Damage First hit = 14(max damage) +2 from hunters quarry =16
Second hit = 9

Ahem... what he said (thanks) ;)

The group heads to the blacksmith. It has three walls, with a low fence across the area where one would expect a fourth wall. The group enters, finding it empty...

except for the hundreds of weapons lining the walls. Beautifully crafted long swords cover one wall, while in another area, a pile of daggers sit. The walls contain weapons enough to fit anyone's desire. Despite the late night, the furnace still belches fire, giving the room a comfortable warmth, in contrast to the night air. The forge is a large room, with a door, probably connecting the shop front to the blacksmith's house.

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

Elaugolg walks around the smith, looking for anything that seems vaguely magic.

Arcana, to detect for any magic items:1d20+8=10
And he fails miserabley.

Elaugolg then starts grabbing some of the knifes.

Grahsvein Uzakyn,

Rel avatar

Grasvein does the same.
Arcana 1d20+8=17

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Grahsvien cannot detect any magical weapons in this room, but there is a small aura from behind the door connecting the forge to the main house.

Grahsvein Uzakyn,

Rumblefish wrote:

Grasvein points to the door. "There's something magical over there...come on." He carefully goes over and opens the door.

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

*Snickering at the guard he just killed, he turns to follow Grahsvein*
"Coming"

Galvan Ironhorns,

Minotaur 2 avatar

Nothing here appears to interest Galvan. He's content to keep alert.

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

Grahsvien, and anyone who follows him, make Stealth and Perception checks.

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

Elaugolg follows Grav. through the door.

Perception:1d20-1=5

Grahsvein Uzakyn,

Stealth 13, Perception 20.

Galvan Ironhorns,

Minotaur 2 avatar

Taking 10 on Perception for a total of 12 while standing outside.

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

The room is a giant storage area, with crates piled up around it. As Grahsvien and Graz enter they sees a the shadow of what may be a giant bat swoop down behind a crate. "How dares you break in masters house. Step farther, and pay the consequences" a raspy voice can be heard behind the crate.

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

Leave us to do as we will and you won't die.
*Graz steps forward drawing twin longswords.*

Rumblefish,

Paizo Pirahna HRF 01 071214 avatar

As Graz steps toward the box, she hears the voice from behind a different box. Hehehe. I kindly suggests that you leaves masters house. I asks nicely. A shuffling comes from behind a third box, and suddenly you don't feel as confident as you were a few seconds before.

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Downer Cvr avatar

Elaugolg readys an action to use Eldritch Blast on the first person to show themselves.

Will we have to tattoo "Graz is male!" on your forehead?

Graz and Boe,

Deschamps-12 Anth-Malar avatar

I'm going to have to change my avatar name to "Graz is a male." ]sigh

initiative=22

Elaugolg Kenafin,

Forgot initiative: Edit: Rolled a 6, for a total of 8.
