Wow! This is way more interesting than the argument a couple posts down the digital hall; you know, the one arguing that "Two Issues Left" is tantamount to...come on, you know you want to invoke Godwin's Law...

Care Bears..............STARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Cousins................CALL!!!!!!!!!!!

Would you set it before or after the events of Big Wish, because that could have a significant impact on the setting, not to mention introducing several new iconic characters.

Big wish? Was that in Care Bears the Movie or Care Bears the Movie 2?

Um... I mean... not that I ever watched either of them. Or... um... yeah, I was only guessing that they even existed... yeah...

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Well, since I've already blown my cover, and can't really deny an actual knowledge of the Care Bears...

After The Big Wish.

Then I could sell all the previous movies as sourcebooks. Plus, the backfired wishes remind me of wild magic in Faerun, which from a marketing viewpoint would naturally appeal to FR fanatics.

Twinkers would be sentient magic...

Big Wish would be Care Bears 5.

Man, Mike. I really expected more out of you. Go watch some movies and come back when you're better versed on all that is the Care Bears universe...

Twinkers as a living spell is a good idea (as is going with "sentient magic" to avoid licensing issues). Setting it after Big Wish also gives you the process of atonement as followed by Care-a-Lot--Me Bear, Messy Bear, and Too-Loud Bear.

Wouldn't everyone really have a good laugh if I actually wrote and sold this...

Who knows, maybe it could replace the world's most popular fantasy roleplaying game...

This just in:

CBTORPG replaces WMPFRPG!!

If u gt ths, u r 2 kûl n shud mve 2 'dsnt ths mag g0 thru edtg?'

c u thr!

Is it sad that a "planer hoping" Dora the Explorer came to mind and a cross over with My Little Pony. Sort of a Very bad version of Kingdom Hearts video Game and Toy Story.

Could have something to do weth just getting off work and hour ago

No thanks. I've been to that thread. It is dead to me. ;)

Wha?!?! There are FIVE Care Bears movies? I totally need to catch u—

I mean... um...

Ah crap.

Care Bears are way too hyped. It's all about creating a Popples RPG.

El Skootro

When I was 10 or 11, my sister had some great big (3-4 foot tall) care bears. They made good wrestling opponents.

Anybody ever walk into a Biker Bar wearing a pink carebear tank top?

Better question: Has anybody ever walked out of a Biker Bar wearing a pink carebear tank top?

Heathansson wrote:

I have, actually. I was left completely alone. Maybe it was due to the rainbow tattooed on the side of my head. Forget about looking tough; you just need to look so thoroughly insane that no one would DREAM of messing with you.

Heathansson wrote:

What about walking into a carebear bar wearing ... eh, nevermind.

El Skootro

Where's the carebear bar? I'll win alla fights!

Don't forget the Strawberry Shortcake expansion.

Is there a release date for Captain Planet enviromental supplement? or is it posted already and I just missed it?

Heathansson wrote:

Actually, a carebear bar is kind of like an almond joy but with little bits of gummy bears.

El Skootro

It must be a pretty big bar if you can walk into one.

Heathansson wrote:

Rope trick.

El Skootro

How much does a roper prostitute charge?

Heathansson wrote:

I was under the impression that Mr. Roper wasn't into those kind of shenanigans. That's why he was always on Jack Tripper's case.

El Skootro

Well he should probably let the case be closed. I'm sure the statute of limitations isn't up, but Jack The Ripper (whoever he was) is most assuredly dead by now.

This has to be the strangest spin-off thread I've ever seen.

And the most disturbing :o

This here is funny. That's what it is.

Osirion (RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32)

I, for one, am extremely disappointed in this thread.

This thread has been up for nearly 24 hours and NO ONE has statted up the effects of the Care Bear Stare? WTF?

NO ONE has taken the time to create pregens of the Care Bears?

NO ONE has likened Sunshine Bear's sunshine blast from his stomach to a combination of a scorching ray and charm spell? (Ok, I just did.)

::Filled with rage at this collective dropping of the ball::

Andoran (Pathfinder Adventure Path Charter Subscriber)

Ahhh...

One day I shall start a thread that will go into the hundreds of pages...

You didn't hear the lore that Sunshine Bear swallowed a beholder in a beholder swallowing contest? I thought everyone knew that.

Sorry, I keep my statblocks limited to fictional movie characters.

Dude, did y'all realize that they got their start on greeting cards from American Greetings before they were turned into plush bears two years later by Kenner? Wow, from greeting cards to multiple movies. That's a good run.

I'm gonna stat up the "where's the beef?" lady.

Heathansson wrote:

Yeah, but things didn't work out so well for the Shirt Tails.

Dude, KEJR: do you read that All Star Superman? I was wondering on account of the Bizzarro thing, as Supes was recently trapped on Bizarro world and met Zibarro too.
