1. If you become a patron for _Halls_, you have access to the recently released _Tales of Zobeck_ (OGL) and _Wrath of the River King_ (4E)-- both are fantastic and gorgeous adventures. I've managed to get a review on _Wrath_ posted to Enworld and I'm working one up for _Tales_. Those are the only two Open Design projects you'll have access to purchase; Projects 1-6 are closed to the public. The OGL _Gazetteer of Zobeck_ is publicly available.

2. The deadline for signing up is usually when the errata version is released-- so, June-ish. However, if you want to pick the version you'll get, you do that with your wallet. This adventure will be 4E or OGL depending on which version reaches the sufficient amount of patronage first. If you really want this in OGL, you should go sign up now for OGL. You can always upgrade your patronage later.

So where can I purchase the two adventures above if I choose to do so?

That's my bad!

You can sign up for _Halls of the Mountain King_ here. And then, once you're a patron, I believe you can access the livejournal post that provides access to _Wrath of the River King_ and _Tales of Zobeck._

Let me know if you need further help.

I am already a patron for the Halls of the Mountain King. I've never used livejournal before and its very confusing. Can you provide a link please?

Wolfgang's Livejournal site can be found at http://open-design.livejournal.com/ I did not find it all that hard to access. However, it's layout can be confusing to first time customers as some of entries posted on the Livejournal site are only visible to paid patrons of the varying Open Design projects.

For instance, if you are not a patron and you go to the Livejournal site now (7/8/09), you might see the journal entry Bruce Cordell Shares Some Psionic Psecrets and then the entry where he talks about the Far Realms. Paid patrons would see those entries, as well as patron-only entries about Encounter Areas, 4E Paragon Paths, and Epic Destinies for Halls of the Mountain King.

In a nutshell, you sign up and pay at KoboldQuarterly.com. The Livejournal site (once you become a patron) gives you peeks, updates and a chance to participate in the crafting of a project (depending upon your level of patronage and if you get in early enough).

Sure. Try here.

I've found the tags at the bottom of each entry the most useful in searching and sorting for a particular topic.

Can anyone give me any information concerning the two adventures? I would just like to know the basics- the premise of the adventures and what levels they cover. I am thinking about picking up both of them but I'd like to get some information first.

Thanks!

_Wrath of the River King_ has a review at Enworld, and it's designed for 4E, levels 4-7. You go in search of a Miller's lost, perhaps stolen, wife in the Feywild.

_Tales of Zobeck_ is an anthology of 8 OGL adventures, all in an urban setting:

"Plague of Shadows," by Joshua Stevens: Level 1 introductory adventure.
"The Devil you Know," by Jim Groves & Mike McArtor: For 4th Level Characters
"The Knave of Parts," by Bill Collins: For 4-6th Level Characters.
"The Gullet War," by Ed Greenwood: For all levels.
"The Madman at the Bridge," by Wolfgang Baur: For 4th Level Characters.
"Tale of the Mouse King," By Tim & Eileen Connors: For 5th Level Characters.
"Maiden in the Glass," By Dan Voyce: For 5th Level Characters.
"Redcloak Ruckus," By Ben McFarland: For 6th Level Characters.

Most are mysteries, "Madman" is fairly combat intensive, "Ruckus" & "Tale" are a little less so, but they've all got a variety of chances to sling dice.

Does that help?

-Ben.

Zobeck is awesome. Lots of excellent ideas.

The errata version of _Halls of the Mountain King_ came out yesterday, which means that this project is closed. A big round of thanks to all the patrons who gave their support, opinions and effort!

The print version should be ready by the end of July and the next round of Open Design projects will be announced in August.
