hi i'm looking for a sourcebook with a bunch of floorplans for medieval/d&d/fantasy buildings. anyone know of a book like that? i'm thinking something along the lines of the old shadowrun book 'sprawl sites', but for fantasy settings (specifically i'm running conan rpg)
also; in a second hand store, or even new, you can find rpg supplements.
City book, comes in I, II and I think III, has shops, store fronts and maps of such things and suggested shopkeepers and tradesmen. there are also other supplements for docks and the like.
Palladium published a book of castles and armor; it has a collection of floorplans and drawings of popular castles as well as lineage of castles so you can see plans for old type forts before they did stone castles.
Also; nearly half of the Palladuim game sourcebook, I think number III; the one with the Old One on the cover; is pink mostly and a Minotaur if I remember right; that one has a whole lot of villages and maps of a whole bunch of Forts built for gamers; I use this all the time, great resource when you need something quick or even if you want to develop it because they have it all planned out for you; just tweak and go.
ok; Ravenloft; when d&d was fiddling with this they made Ravenloft a demi plane with its own rules; well, the box set has lots of cards of places from inns to forts to castles; one side has a picture; the other side the floorplan and the adventure hook.
Didn't Oriental Adventures for AD&D have a bunch of floorplans in the back? Anyway, this is another product I've considered making for 3.5 and now/or now Pathfinder - Fantasy Sites. Once, that is, I find a graphics program and images I can use to produce commercial maps.
Also, check the Map Packs for usable sets. I only own a couple of them, and they are outdoors ones at that, but I think you may find a couple that are what you want - specifically, Slums and Village.
