Gilhim, leader of the Fire Cult has decided to support a adventuring group that has recently formed in the town of Haven. Thus he has decided that one of his followers should join them and support they're efforts. Will you answer his call?

There is also room for another brave adventurer or two if any one is interested.

We need at least one healer, whether that be the member of the Fire Cult or another character. Standard point buy and average starting gold.

I am in a few other pbp already, so I'll let others have a shot at joining you first. In the meantime, please excuse my ignorance, but is the Land of Dunaris and Gilhim/Fire Cult part of the Pathfinder campaign world, or is it homebrewed? I would love to learn more about it, and would be more than happy to join your world if you have trouble filling the slots.

What he said.

It sounds like you have already recruited a party (not from this message board). How big is it?

Or do you already have a game going and someone dropped out? If so, can we check out the PBP and the discussion thread?

Here

I'm one of currently 4 party memebers.

Thanks Silverleaf.

lordzack, I think it would really help if you or one the players can summarize what has happened in the adventure already. (300+ posts is a bit hefty to go through)

Also, I am interested in how you would handle players who are absent for a long time and suddenly are back. That would make a large (and cumbersome) party.

*waves*

Hey-ya! *^_^* G'day an' welcome t' ye!

*coughs* Okay, having been told that that style of writing gets very old/hard to read I'll drop back into better English. ^_~

As for what has happened over 300+ posts, unfortunately not a lot. We've already had three players drop out half way pretty much through our first engagement *Humbly wishes said people all the very best in their real life*

So! We we're lucky enough to have the players of Gandel and Sesinia come dropping in.

After our first tangle with lowly Kobolds we have realized that a healer (Cleric/Witch) is a necessity for 1st level characters. Indeed, it was the inability to heal wounded characters that caused us to with draw bak to the town.

Hope that summery helps. ^_^ *cough*

An' lookin' for'wd t' be seein' ye in'a game I surely am!

There is some info on the setting here in the old recruitment thread, but it's scattered all over the place so I might attempt to gather it together to make it easier to understand.

That would be indeed helpful
Do not forget to tell us which gods there are is you want an healer

So what are the actual professions you actually have so as to avoid duplicating a role ?

Actually, I haven't decided what gods exist and am not likely to do so, except when I need to over the course of play. Most clerics just worship the gods in general, therefore there's no need to create the whole pantheon right away. However, I have decided that Garl Glittergold is amongst the gods worshiped by the humans, halflings and gnomes (all of whom worship the same gods). The dwarves and elves have they're own religions. Dwarves worship Moradin, and no other gods, but do revere they're ancestors. The elves worship the Seldarine, again as a whole.

There is also, of course the Fire Cult. It's domains are Fire, Destruction, and Chaos. They do worship a personification, but to call it a god might be a bit of an exaggeration.

So far we have a fighter, a ranger, a sorcerer and a rogue.

If you haven't found anyone yet, I would be willing to try a cleric if you want. I've played a dwarf cleric for the Age of Worms in a live setting and rather enjoyed it. Give me a day and I could resurrect him into Pathfinder with new stats, etc. Would that work for you?

Hello lordzack,

I would be interested in participating in your game as a cleric if you still have the need. What type of edicts do the Fire Cult follow? Are they generally good, evil or neutral. If I wanted to play a cleric outside of the Fire Cult, would I pick domains and fit it to the race and style of the character to find a god to worship?

no offence but one of the joy of playing a cleric is interacting with his church and other churches at least for me
Otherwise , he is just an inferior mage who can heal .
so I withdraw

Well he will be interacting with his church. No where did I say that there wouldn't be churches, where did you get that idea?

Hey All! Hope to meet a new cleric character soon!

Of course, if you read through the IC and OC threads, you'll realize that Gandel's main request is that the new character must be a hot female!

How about a hot dwarven chick?? Actually, I think I will withdraw my name for now. Thanks. JRC

Hey guys, sorry for my absence the last couple of days, but work got hectic and then there's Valentine's Day :) . Anyway, Please meet Azral, Spirit of Rock, Dwarven War Priest (my cool way of calling a cleric) of the Fire Cult.

Preliminary Stats:

STR 10 + 0 = 10
DEX 10 + 0 = 10
CON 14 + 2 = 16
INT 10 + 0 = 10
WIS 14 + 2 = 16
CHA 14 - 2 = 12

His domains are Fire and Destruction.
His first lvl feat is Selective Channeling.
His skills will be Knowledge (Religion) & Sense Motive.
And of course, he will be channeling positive energy ;) .

I'll try to equip him by tomorrow so we can kick ass by TUES. BRING ON THE FIRE! (jamming to loud rock music in the background)

Oh, if anyone has opinions/advice, please let me know.

Started to equip my character (using a previous character's template, so not everything make sense yet). What is the Fire Cult's favored weapon?

The greatsword.

Pleased to meet ya, Azral! Any friend of Cuu's is a friend of mine!

Wait'll ya meet the hotties!! Be sure to bring your swim trunks (or not)!

*waves* to Azral. ^_^

G'day an'pleased t' meet ye! ^_^

Lookin' forw'd t' interactin' an' adventurin' with ye.

Oh, an' that's the favoritest Dwarf picture of them all! ^_^

The character always reminds me of a short 'Billy Connolly'. ^_^

Cheery-O!

Alrighty, Azral here is pretty much all done. Still have not done anything about looks and personality. Suffice to say that he's a good-nature dwarf who enjoys a good fight. I'll be keeping an eye on the gaming thread when the GM makes my appearance. To fighting!

Sounds like he'll fit in great with the fight hard, play hard kobold killing group.

Bah, don't wait fer th' DM t' be puttin' ye in'a spot Azral! Jus' walk right on in! We's all gonna be friends fightin' th' good fight aginst th' Ko-boilys! ^_^

*waves*

Cheery-O!

I've been stalking this campaign, and is there still a spot open? I'd be willing to make a character to fit pretty much any role. If there is a spot open, what system would I use to generate the ability scores and what races from the Bestiary are optional? And I'll have to look into that Traits thing. Two, right?

*GLOMP_HUGZ* ^_^ Yuppers, there is! All the information you need should be at the start of this thread. I reckon, as long as you have enough of the basic Paizo books, heck even just the SRD thingy on teh interwebz shou8ld be enough, you should be sweet to generate a character and play. As long as it's okay by the DM LordZack. I'm happy to play with any one....*^_^* Ummmm, that may have come out the wrong way....*>.>*

Yup, two traits. I've got a kind of special feat from Savage Tides, so something a little weird or obscure isn't too bad, just show the DM LordZack exactly where you got it from and what it does and everything should be sweet. :)

As for "Making a character to fit any role" I'm happy with you making any sort of character with which you can have fun with, but that being said as one of the fighters in the group I can see how having some one who can cast/make healing things is a really good idea. *^_^*. Much cheers to yourself and whatever it is you decide to play.

Cheery-O!

'Key, I guess a cleric would pretty much fit the need?
concept; Ash, an elven cleric with the domains Healing and Repose. She joined up with the Fire-group-thing after leaving a caravan she had been traveling in.
Of course, if the DM says that doesn't work I can always make another character or edit.
moment while I decide feats and stuff...

Not clear on wether I get two traits in addition to my first-level feat or not. If I do, then I'll have to edit the stats a bit.
'K, here's my character (if the DM approves it);

Let me know if I forgot anything.

Okeys, well you get your two starting Traits as well as your First Level 'generic' Feat ^_^

I always suggest "Rich Parents, Trait" the one that replaces your starting money allotment with a fixed amount of 900 Gp. Always handy to have. (^_~) Of course, you don't have to have actually had rich parents, the character could have come across the windfall some other way.

"Um what officer? Nope, this chest were completely empty when I found it, honest."

XD

Though, in Suny's case I think it was more a case of just finding stuff lying around, covered in sand, in tumbled down wooden things.;)

Best of luck and here's to hoping folks who know the rules better than I can help you out further. ^_^

Cheery-O!
