So looking at the board this is not usually how this is done, but I've looked through a number of the 'looking for players' posts and most of them seem to be full up, so maybe if I leave my plea here, someone could take pity on me.

A bit about my rpg-credentials: Long-time player, often DM but not much PbP experience. I've done some free-form Amber DRPG PbP, which was great, but I'm looking to get back into the 'real' stuff.

I've got D&D coming out of my ears since AD&D, and I've found that 4th edition (yes, sorry for mentioning it) is just not fun. I've looked long and hard, and even though I've not 'absorbed' all the rules, the Pathfinder book looks good and has gotten my creative juices flowing again.

So, if you're a player short or want to start a new game, maybe consider giving me a shout on this thread and I'll see what I can do for you!

Alex.

Hi Alex,

So are you looking to DM a new PbP game? What did you have in mind?

Hi Alex,

So are you looking to DM a new PbP game? What did you have in mind?

I think it's fairly clear that he wants to be a player.

Heh, yes, player please :)

Maybe a bit more detail: Pathfinder if possible because I'd like to try it, 3.5 otherwise. Not much experience with other systems.

One of the adventure paths would be nice (especially Kingmaker, that looks really sweet!!), but I'm open for anything.

I've got the Pathfinder main book, but I'd be willing to get any expansions/extensions if needed and they don't cost too much.

There, that's a bit more clear I think, no?

Doh...that's what I get for replying when I'm on the phone. Your subject even says player :)

Yes...crystal clear!

Basically you just need to check often, games fill very fast but new ones are always starting

I'm UK based also. I would love to run a Kingmaker PBP but as i'm UK it wil be a while before it arrives in the post. I'd also like to play in one.

Perhaps I will purchase an adventure path for PBP while I wait for it... *muses*

Well man it takes a long, long time to run an AP in pbp. SO I would not start one ya don't plan to put a few years in. I have been running STAP here since may of 08, we are on part 3 :)

They are slow but very enjoyable, just don't start one expecting it to be over on a few months if ya want to run the whole of the AP is all. If your iching to run kingmaker , unless ya want to run two games it's best to wait a little on it

Anyhow just some thoughts

I'd definitely be interested! (hint, hint)

At some point I'd like to run a PbP, but for one I don't have that much experience in playing one, so I'd like to do that first, and I've also not been a player for a very long time, just a DM.

I run a PBP already, just wondering if I have time to run another lol

*waves* Currently there are some games of which I am a player that seemed to have slowed down with their postings, (Land Of Dunaris, I be lookin' at you). Check for the discussion thread and post an inquiry about joining. We're at a stage where the 'old' hands are coasting along and the adventure is in a spot where new players can easily join in. ^_^

Hey you guys. 'scuse me butting in. I just wanted to say don't miss PaizoConUK. You can soak up a LOT of Pathfider in two days. It's a very friendly event and we would love to see you. We generally get through at least 4 Pathfinder Society adventures. Pre-gen characters available if you need them. All the info is on the website http://www.paizocon.co.uk
