I need two more players for my new Eberron game. One or both of them need to be healer types. Artificer and cleric is one possible combination. Here is the Discussion Thread.
I'm interested, perhaps. I've wanted to play a goblin for ages, but have never gotten the chance. Could I play one here?
I'm thinking a bard, but if necessary I could be a cleric.
To be honest, actually, a rogue would work best, so if that's possible I'd definetely prefer that. A bard would be my second choice, since they're minor healers and suchwhat. I'm hoping that Kratzee is interested in a cleric.
For quite some time I have wanted to play a warforged artificer who is obsessed with self-improvement and continual imbues himself with magical abilities. This seems like a good game for that - would such a character be appropriate?
Even if not, I'm still interested in the game, I'll just work on a different character concept (probably filling the healer role with some form of Oracle)
I was considering a changeling cleric of The Traveller with Trickery and Travel as the domains. He would be very loyal to the crew of the ship, even though of chaotic alignment. However, I am in a couple pbps, including one of yours, already so if the two others who are interested are very interested I can defer.

That kind of character would be more than appropriate since I need one or more prototype warforged.
Kratzee first answered the call, so I'm gonna give advantage to him. Dennis and Ted, you are welcome to create replacement characters in case that someone decides to bow out.
No problem. I have a background outline that I was going to fill in tonight and the character is just about stated up so it is ready to go if you need another player.

I'm envisioning a pearl-themed warforged, created in an attempt to harness arcane power (like a Pearl of Power). The experiment failed, and since he was not robust enough for combat he was sent to a labor force. However, despite not having any innate arcane talent, he was still exceptionally intelligent and eventually managed to free himself. Now he's obsessed with forging arcane talent into himself the hard way in an attempt to prove that he really is a success.
So, questions:
1 - what stats would you assign to a pearl warforged? I was thinking +4 Int, -2 Con.
2 - Do you have a Pathfinder Artificer conversion I should use or would you like me to go make one?
3 - Do you have a preference as to whether I play this character as a fugitive or as a warforged who bought his freedom?

Go ahead Dennis. I don't think I have time to go through the Eberron stuff enough to be able to make a fully fleshed out character. I'm already playing in another nightflier game, so I won't be missing out on his dming at all.
Edit: I'd like to still be considered as an alternate though.
I should have everything complete by Saturday morning. (My wife is coming home from a business trip tonight so I will not be able to finish till then). My character is a Shifter Cleric of the Silver Flame my background will explain how I ended up with that combo :-)
1 - +4 Int, -2 Con, you loose composite plating and gain mother of pearl plating. You loose +2 to armor and you still can not wear armor or robes, but you can enchant mother of pearl plating.
2 - to be honest, I don't have a conversion that I prefer. I've asked SmiloDan if he did a conversion of artificer, since I like his conversions in general. If you have a conversion that you like, post a link in the Discussion Thread or you can check out Ardwright class while we wait for SmiloDan's reply.
