Hello folks,
I'm a 42 year old GM, who's taken it upon himself to run what is now a year old, D&D 3.5 - PBP campaign.
My motivations for doing this were simple, I liked the idea, and it allows me greater control and introduction of dynamics that you just can't get in a table top environment. I did a few years of research into this genre and I have to admit that what I've seen, doesn't really match my vision of where I felt it should be.
So I created a web site based campaign, that provides story progression, a dedicated dice server, fully editable 3.5 character sheets that only the players themselves & the GM have access to, maps now made with CC3, and a Game Forum provided by Google Groups.
I started out with 6 player's and due to LIFE, I now have only 4 dedicated individuals of varying computer and internet related skill sets.
I'm looking for new blood, not that I want to spill yours just yet, but I do have an opening for one person and in the future maybe two new players.
I need to warn you ahead of time, your going to be playing a predetermined character, in this case it's a fighter with a history and motivations already determined by me. Yeah, in this I am a bit of a control freak, but I'm looking for people who really want to role play and enjoy a challenge.
The folks your playing with are all of similar age groups, with one exception and he's a very mature twenty something...at least I think he's in his late twenties. :) We've all played together as a group, with one of us now living on the east coast. Were a good bunch of people, and we enjoy a good game with a thick story line.
So what are the qualifications needed here? Well they're pretty simple, you need to be a mature adult without any major egocentric character flaws. You need to be dedicated enough to want to contribute to a real story, able to enjoy hearty banter, and battle. Ultimately the greatest qualification will your ability be patient enough to handle a GM that is still getting used to working in a 3.5 game setting.
If I haven't bored you to tears with all this, you've past the first test. :)
