I was wondering if there were any pathfinder gamers around in the central illinois area. I'm hoping to be able to join a homebrew or pathfinder adventure path campaign.
Waiting between conventions for new society modules isn't cutting it!
There are gamers. Have you looked at Gryfalia's Aerie? I haven't been in the store since they moved, due to my gaming group being over at the Gopher in Champaign (yes, I drive 40 minutes to game with my favorite GM).
If you haven't tried there (or nobody's running games), there are at least two groups in Urbana at Armored Gopher Games. I don't know about openings, I'll be there this Thursday, and I'll ask for you.
EDIT: The GM's in Champaign tend to do interviews to make sure the group melds together well (so nobody feels left out or isolated), so that's food for thought as well.

Unfortunately, I did try Gryfalia's Aerie. I posted on the boards looking for any interest and no replies for months. Just crickets. :(
I would really appreciate it if you could check for openings on Thursday nights down in Urbana. The drive wouldn't bother me at all if I could play regularly.
Let me know if you need anything else.

I know that it is probably a bit of a hike, but we have a Pathfinder Society convention (PFS Smackdown) on the first Saturday of every month. It is in Columbia, MO, which is about 4 hrs from you, but that wouldn't be the record for distance driven to play with us! If you have played several of the scenarios, that's okay--we have six different scenarios at every event. Come on over if you're bored!
KiKai, I may just take you up on that offer... we'll see if I can convince my wife.
Imhotep: I'll be glad to ask for you. If google maps is still showing the Downtown Champaign Location, I'll get you proper directions once I find out.

KiKai. Thanks for the information. You just might see me there sometime if nothing works out in Urbana. I just need to convince my fiance' that the drive will be worth it. I have her playing casually, so this could be my final push to get her playing more often.
Do you have a website for the PFS Smackdown? I just want to make sure we don't drive down to an off month.
Thanks again!

The PFS Smackdown is held at Valhalla's Gate, the largest game store in Mid-Missouri. The only off month that I know of so far is May, and we are still playing--just on May 8th instead of May 1st. If you have any questions about the game you can call Valhalla's Gate, contact me through their messageboards, or email me at Yahoo. My email name is the same as my avatar name here.
If you guys all wanna carpool over here, stop by Boomer's house and pick him up on the way! It would be cool to have him run one of his scenarios at the Smackdown!!
I really appreciate you following up for me. If all works out (my fingers are crossed!), just let me know what information, and when/where I need to be to play.
I'm the GM that Darkmeer warned you about . . . ;)
I'm still waiting to hear back from my wayward player to see if that particular slot is open, but if you want to e-mail me, you can get ahold of me at KnightErrantJR "at" gmail "dot" com.
Hopefully I'll know something soon.
I'm always happy to keep someone in their hobby, and I'll e-mail you a bit about the campaign style and what kind of games you are used to and all of that.
Once again, thanks for taking the time to help-out a wayward gamer!
I emailed you my contact information with some background about myself. I truly hope this works out, since I'm excited about the chance to join your campaign.
