I've never run a PbP before but I would like to try and do a Dawn of Defiance game now that all the adventures are available. I'm hoping to find 4 to 6 players who can post at least once per day. Once I get a group of players I'll post my character creation rules for the game on a separate thread.

For those who don't know what the Dawn of Defiance is about:

"Dawn of Defiance is a Star Wars SAGA campaign set in the tumultuos period between Episodes III and IV. It consists of 10 linked adventures. These adventures are designed to take characters from 1st level to 20th level. Along the way, they'll become embroiled in the battle against the newly-formed Galactic Empire and will have the chance to strike decisive blows as they encourage rebellion."

I have the old WOTC d20 rules. Can I still participate (I know the SAGA rules are somewhat different) and do you accept Jedi?

I'd be game to game.

The SAGA rules are a lot different, like the difference between d20 Modern and 3.5 D&D. I do accept Jedi though.

We have rules for character creation? I don't have my books with... But once I get home I can take some time to make a character. Like to have an idea of what to make before then if possible.

Andoran (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Battles Case Subscriber)

I'd love to be involved as well. I was actually going to run DoD at one point for my in person group, so I have read the first two modules for it, but that was when they first came out(almost two years ago now) and my memory of them isn't all that great.

If you don't mind that, I'd be very happy to toss my name in the ring. I can make whatever is needed to balance out the party, but I have some nice ideas for a scoundrel or a soldier, so those would be my preference.

Sounds good to me Tarlane, welcome aboard!

OOC Discussion thread now up with character creation rules.

2 down, 2-4 more to go.

Andoran (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Battles Case Subscriber)

Thanks! Glad to be aboard. And the creation rules look good to me. I'll get started on my character as I can throughout the day and will probably have him up either tonight or early tomorrow.

How about an imperial-turned rebel? Or a decommissioned battle droid brought back online by a Neimoidian? I could probably come up with a dozen ideas.

I'd love a star wars game!

consider me interested

I can pick up the core SAGA stuff (although I won't replace all my sourcebooks). Please count me in...

Cheliax (RPG Superstar 2010 Top 16, 2011 Top 32)

I would very much like to join! I'm up for any sort of scum and/or villainy!

I'd like to join up. I already have character that was designed fo another DoD PBP that died shortly after it began.

This is the character. Some of his backgroundis specific to the other PBP but is easily changed.

Taldor (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion Subscriber)

Do you still have room for another? I enjoy the Saga rules quite a bit!

Ok, Everyone else here is in. That puts us up to 8 players which is fine since this is a pbp. :) So welcome aboard Thomas Thiessen, Memento Mori, abstract xp, James Martin, David Fryer, and Jess Door! I will see you all in the Out of Character Discussion Thread! I'm hoping to get this adventure started sometime this week or next pending everyone finishing character creation.
