Howdy. Very very VERY new player here, with char name of Nemun.

As stated in the title, I have never played a thing of D&D/WarHammer/Pathfinder/ any of such things, and am hoping to join in a session, very much preferably online.

For years, I have seen the jokes, to and for, D&D and the such, and found them interesting as a whole. The char building, the imaginations used, the sheer amount of effort put in just to get that last lousy point of XP to max out your chars. The tales of epic dungeons, monsterous foes, and the occasional "WHAT THE HELL???" rolling.

But alas, for where I live such things to get are impossible. Those that were interested were..well, not good company to be associated with. Namely, they had...problems. And those that were of good sorts are far and away.

Recently, however, I was introduced to this site, and the char creation guide therein. He is (sorta) named, he is ready, all stats found and rolled, and now he sits, waiting for his first (and hopefully not last) adventure into the fanatasies of the worlds produced here.

So please, anyone out there willing to take in a complete noob, willing to learn and work, and able to do session on the weekends? Fri-Mon typically.

Thank you for reading.

Welcome :)

Keep reading this forum. Slots crop up pretty frequently in ongoing games and new games start up as well. When you see something you think you'd enjoy, post on the thread.

I can't offer you anything at the moment myself, but I hope you find a game soon.

It might help if you specified what kind of game you are looking for: face to face or some sort of online game. And if you want a face to face game, giving your location would help too :).

As nuch as I'd like a face-to-face game, I don't think I can. What I'd like to do then is a live-ish online session. "Like to" being the operative word.
So yeah, online would be very preferable.

Well if you haven't found anything and would like a live, online game I recommend looking for a Virtual Table top game. If you don't have large chunks of free time a pbp is probably more to what you are looking for.

This website had plenty of choices, but even more, I would check out the following sites:
The Tangled Web
Myth-Weavers
Pen and Paper Games

Also, if you thinking of trying either a LFR game (4e) or a PFS game, check out the following:
RPTools.net (Also has other types of games on it too)
Pathfinder Society Online Collective

Best of luck!

I can also recommend Unlimited RPGs

Currently in one PF game, and about to join a second.

It's a small community, but very friendly :)

I know EXACTLY how you feel :)
good luck

*waves* Currently there are some games of which I am a player that seemed to have slowed down with their postings, (Land Of Dunaris, I be lookin' at you). Check for the discussion thread and post an inquiry about joining. We're at a stage where the 'old' hands are coasting along and the adventure is in a spot where new players can easily join in. ^_^

Shadow Lodge (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Tales Subscriber)

Nemun, check this thread out soon for a new campaign you can join. Its first come first serve.

You don't need a character yet. That will be decided after the party is selected.
