Hi, I live at Caboolture (Brisbane Australia Northside) Was looking for a regular pathfinder game to join maybe once a fortnight or something.

I have been gaming for 23 years and have a regular group that I GM for. However I am looking for a regular organised game to play in. Not really interested in society play, definitely more interested in character development as opposed to min/maxing combat.

Anyone out the in BrisVegas area looking to start up a group?

Heya Snow crash.

Not able to help in the group thing unfortunately but wanted to do a shout out to you. I'm in Bray Park, not far from you. My gaming is full unfortunately, but you should check some of the game shops around for any pathfinder stuff. I plan on contacting Ace Comics in the city to see if they're getting any of the rulebooks in or not. I'll ask them again if there's anything going. There wasn't 6 months ago, but that may have changed.

I also know Apathy from these boards is a Brisbaneite. Maybe drop in on one of his ooc threads and give him a nudge. I'm not sure how often he checks here.

You don't happen to be a Neil Stephenson fan do you? Your avatar name caught my interest is all.

Cheers

Yeah. I live in Redcliffe but a lot of my work is at the Abbey Museum. I'd be keen to get involved if the times are good.

Hopefully we'll get another couple of replies cause I would love to play in a game rather than gm.

I have actaully just moved to Caboolture. You don't know any stores out this way do you? Closest I know of is Ace comics in the city or Fast Break Sports at Nundah. But I don't get into the city very often any more what with it being a 2hr round trip. I have been keeping an eye out for stores in my area but haven't seen anything and nothing in the phone book.

And yes I did get the name SnowCrash from the Neal Stephenson book of the same name. I was a big shadowrun gm for a while and into all things cyber. Wasn't a big fan of a lot of his other books though.

I liked Diamond age. Very cool tech in that book, and the concept of nanotech at the level he suggest was excellent.

Unfortunately, no I don't any game stores closer than that. We had Wicked Games down here at Strathpine for a while, but that shop moves locations more times thanI'd care to recount. I thnk it might have finally just closed.

Are you guys going to gen con this year. There's a bunch of Pathfinder stuff being played at the con, and still sots open. There might be a chance for mroe gamers there.

I still haven't checked out Aces or Fastbreak to see if more players are in the area. Will look into it soon
Cheers

Yeah I remember wicked games they were good but a little pricey. They did move a couple of times each time getting smaller and smaller till they barely sold d&d any more just card games and stuff. Don't know what happened to them.

As for GenCon.... Hell yes. One of the guys I GM for is Ian Houlihan the Grand Master Poobah of GenConOz so yes I will be there. And just for some good news. I hear that although the lords of Paizo have deigned not to attend on the account we are so far away, There will be an official presence selling all things Paizo. But let's just keep that between you and me.

Now that's just good news all around. Hopefully I'll catch you at the con.

Hey guys,

I know it's a bit of a hike from the Sunshine Coast, but I caught the thread and I just thought I'd let you know of a game I've got going on the north side of the Gold Coast in Oxenford.

The group's been running for several years and most of the players have been around for a while. We've currently got six players and a DM that's pretty damn awesome. He used to do cons and loves running games for big groups (even up to 20 or more!!), so I figured I'd let you know in case the logistics work out.

Game runs 1/month on a Saturday from about 9am to 5pm. Good balance between combat and roleplay.

If you're interested, drop me a line at dire_mosquito AT hotmail DOT com and we'll see what we can work out.

Happy hunting!

Andoran (Pathfinder Roleplaying Game, Adventure Path, Campaign Setting, Companion, Tales Subscriber)

Thanks for the offer but that would be about a 2hr drive to get there. Probably just a bit too far. That and I've never had great success with large groups. I find about 5 to be the ideal number.

Thank-you for the offer though. Maybe I'll see you at GenConOZ???

I am looking for a group to play Pathfinder. I have not played it before. I have played RPGs before amd prefer D&D 3.5. I live on the southside and would prefer weekends. I hope there is something out there. Cheers and thanks for reading.
