Picked up my pre-order last night at midnight. Pretty awesome game, though I'm only on the third mission right now. Anyone else pick this one up?

I did the same, Fates! Game Crazy!

I have the Wii version...complete with red lightsaber attachments.

I am in the Tie Fighter factory still. I have to say that the game ROCKS, but I am not very good with keeping all the controls straight. That first duel when you are Darth Vader was very hard for me to control. A lot of it was because I am left handed, and the game is designed for right-handers. Kept losing on the Force locks. After losing 4 straight, my wife pointed out that the cues were opposite of how I was holding the controllers. I switched and nailed the cues.

Whew! I really got a work-out swingin' that remote around!

Still, outside of the duels, the gameplay is awesome. I love Force Pushing a ton of debris I've ripped off the wall with Force Pull...right into a load of troopers!

But, that was just the first 3 hours. Practice makes perfect.

I got the PS3 version, so handedness wasn't an issue (I'm right-handed anyway). I had a bit of difficulty with the Force Locks too initially, but I've gotten much better.

As for Force Pushing stuff around... I prefer to launch troopers into one another, preferrably off the side of a cliff. :D

it's my son's birthday next week...I'll be picking that up...for him

;)

I picked it up the morning it was released(I work nights, so I wasn't able to get a midnight release copy) for the 360. I haven't had a problem with the on-screen cues, but I'm finding the Combo system boring. Most of the saber moves are simply unnecessary; at least, in my opinion. It ends up making a third of the leveling system almost a waste. I would have prefered that they were tied to the ranks you hold in your force powers and overall character level. For instance, make it so that you can use the combo which allows you to use Lightning and Dash simultaneously after you get your second rank in Lightning and third Character Level.

Anyway, enough of my petty annoyances. The game rocks. Pure and simple. And the emerging thoughts of morality the apprentice is encountering are great.

I might get made fun of for this, but I don't have a next-gen console. Actually, I don't have much time for video games, but SW:FU looks amazing and I noticed there is a PS2 version. Does anyone have it or at least know what the differences are (besides worse graphics)?

Just started playing it and got through the first apprentice level. It's good so far, though I don't care for the fact that if you save and quit during a level you have to do the whole level over again. I don't always have huge chunks of time to play video games so basically I'll have to plan out to play when I have enough time to be able to get through a level.

I have the Wii version and all the lightsaber swinging tires out the arm too. :)

Gamespot Review

I'm in the same boat, since I don't have a nice new console. I'm considering just waiting to buy it used or until I scrape up the funds and time to actually get a next gen console.

I just got it but I'm not reading any of your posts until I finish it ! : P

The Empire IS Forever !

I beat it over the weekend. I'm not going to give out any spoilers, but I'm now playing through a second time to go snag all the Holocrons I missed on the first run-through! Also, FYI, there are two different endings depending on how the last scene goes!

***Warning About Bug***

There is a bug that many people get, including me, that causes the game not to record the mission objectives anymore once you get the bug.

They are calling it the '*Default text glitch'.

What happens at any level you might get this glitch in your mission objectives list in the Bonus Objectives. Instead of listing the Bonus Objectives it will say *Default text, at this point the game is screwed!

As of right now you have only 2 choices once you get the bug.

1. Restart the game.
2. Put the game aside and wait for the patch.

It sucks.. I just got it.. to far in to restart so I am going to wait for a patch...

Unsure if the Wii/PS2 Vs has the bug but both Xbox 360 and PS3 have the Bug..

The Developers are aware of the bug and are looking into it.. that is all they have said.

I haven't picked up this game yet because of all the glitches. I've also read online that there won't be a patch for this game. Has anyone heard differently?

They already Patched it and Fixed that Bug.....About 2 weeks back...

Sadly, I haven't played this in a while. Wife got Sims2: Castaways and that has been in the Wii for 2 weeks now.

Starkiller is getting bored, I'm sure.
