Inspired by the Paizonian Guild thread for WoW, I bring you THIS thread!

Do any of you play Guild Wars or City of Heroes?

I have all three GW campaigns, although I'm not terribly fond of the first one. Factions and Nightfall FTW, however.

I tend to tromp around on the Virtue server of CoH, although I have characters spread out all over the place.

It's been a REAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLY long time since I played GW. Only have the first one, but Nightfall has intrigued me greatly.

I play CoH /CoV, usually on Pinacle.

I have yet to play Guild Wars.

I VERY INFREQUENTLY play CoH on the Triumph server as Mr. Shiny, 9th-level scrapper.

Shall we get togethere Paizo SuperGroup on Virtue, Mike? What type of toon do you play? I like Defenders, Controllers, Blasters and sometimes tanks. Or we could start a Super Villian SG.

Yup. Also co-wrote the original first-edition Unearthed Arcana and tons of other D&D and fantasy books and novels.

Heck yes!

I have a ta/a defender at 16th (17th?) level. I too enjoy defenders, controllers, and blasters, with the occasional scrapper (rather than tanker) thrown into the mix.

I certainly wouldn't complain if a Paizo Villain SG formed, although I wouldn't be much of a participant (I prefer Heroes over Villains).

To appease Mike, I have started a toon on Virtue Server. His name is Shadow's Wraith and he is a dark/dark/gloomy/down in the pits..., er, um, ...defender. Since he is just a level 3 toon, I will try to PL him up to around 15 or so within the next few days.

I agree. The character creation flexibility of CoH is so much like the flexibility of D&D that it just makes me want to create a new character every time I log in. (And sometimes, that's exactly what I do!) :D

I did that when I exchanged my remaining Dragon issues (after September) for Pathfinder via the transition page.

I'm on the west coast and typically play evenings or early weekend mornings.

Well, I work 4pm to midnight EST for the next few months. I tend to play after work. Also, my Dark/ Dark defender on Virtue is now 6th level and once I get to 10th I will be starting a Paizo SG on Virtue. Mike can fund the majority of it! ;-P

Speaking of that, my toon on Virtue is now 10 th level and can start a Super Group. I was figuring on having a (mostly) Paizo gaming group. I would like some suggestions for that SG. My suggestion is Paizo PWNS, but I would like to have it be a group effort.

F~%*! I'm having router problems, so I won't be able to play for a VERY VERY LONG TIME. And my hero got erased for some reason. Oh, and did I mention, F&*%!

Like I said, you didn't have to do that. I'd be happy to roll a toon on any server. :)

I haven't logged into Guild Wars in ages, but it is free, so I suppose I could return at any time.

y'know, I've looked at City of Heros many many times in the store but never bought it. Will it run on a dial-up connection or should I even bother? Also, it's subscription based, correct? About how much a month is it to play?

City of Heroes will run on a dial up connection. As for how good it will run, I do not know. I run it on my ADSL connection. It costs $15 a month to play, and if you get the City of Heroes Good V. Evil pack, you get both City of Heroes and City of Villians as well as some nifty little bonuses.

~puts on my Telephone Company Hat~ My suggestion is to get the lowest speed ADSL connection that you can. It usually cost about $30 a month. But you will have to talk to your phone company or your cable company for that info.

P.S. - The updates that download will take a long time to download on Dial Up. I am just warning you ahead of time. Good luck!

Also, I created a CoH chat channel, called Paizo Chat . Two words. To join the chat channel, right click on the tab and then add the channel.

I play CoH, mostly on Justice and Union (EU sever). I don't think my times will mesh with anyone else's, since I'm in Sweden.
