Finally, a great game that combines MMORPG elements and First Person shooter elements.

I have played it, so I'll give it an A-.

Pros: Excellent gameplay, great gunplay, love the graphics, Some rather funny qoutes from the game, Multiplayer Rocks! But...

Cons: Glitches and bugs still exist, Single Player is a little dull, not boring, just dull, Wish I could change my outfit and not just the colors, Some of the challenges feel like they weren't scaled well for the level of the players (Mothrakk, I'm looking at you!).

Anyone else get the chance to play it?

Ah Mothrakk. My Siren took that quest when it was rated as 'Trivial' for her. Turning up and discovering that Mothrakk had a skull over his head was not the best thing. Oh well.

Yeah, Borderlands is fantastically brilliant. I'm currently on my second playthrough with my main, the Siren, in order to get that lovely Level 50 achievement. I actually fell in love with the world and even the damn story, so my single player gaming wasn't too bad. It is most certainly a better multiplayer game though. I'm looking forward to the various DLC packs for it (sigh, another game destined to take up my time. Gonna have to fit in Dragon Age, MW2 and Assassins Creed 2) and more wacky guns! One also hopes that this game sells well enough for the game to get more support and a sequel.

As an aside, I didn't get the significance of a planet called Pandora having a 'vault' that needed to be opened until I looked on the Borderlands forums later. I need to hand in my geek card somewhere.

I'm still on the first run through, doing all the quests I missed after I "beat" the game. I want to know what happens with my character...does he find/save his sister? I think I may be missing something with that.

If you listen to what the enemies say when they can't see you it gets funny, too.

I'm playing as Brick, BTW.

I have to second this, great game. I haven't played that much yet, just become level 5. But one of the best multiplayer games I've played lately.

I'm level 18 as Mordecai and it's a blast. I take a lot of satisfaction from walking up to a bandit and just finishing them off with my knife after taking their shields down with a static revolver. It's going to be tough to juggle between this and Dragon Age ( out tomorrow!!).

For those who have it, can you multiplay offline? My wife wants it, but only if we can play together.

Yep, two player split-screen.

Man, just when I started getting bored with this game I hit the first area full of Crimson Lance guys and it suddenly got really hard. Welcome change of pace from scags, raiders, scythids and spiderants.

Yeah, the difficulty doesn't exactly scale properly. I went through areas that were very very easy and then into Really hard ones, back to easy. But from the time you hit Crimson lance on it's pretty challenging, Except for the final boss. I found it to be way to easy on my first playthrough, but the second made up for it , cuz that dude at level 50 is nasty.

Played as Roland my first time. Now I'm dabbling with the other characters.

Aaaand have you got the Dr. Ned DL yet? Very challenging. Those damn zombies just keep coming and can pop out of the ground from anywhere, even behind you.

I haven't gotten the zombie island yet, but I've heard it's really fun. I'm doing my first full play-through with Mordecai, though I started a game with Brick and he's a lot of fun.

Looks like a new DLC was released Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot (at least for xbox 360, other platforms are later), arena related stuff it looks like. I haven't touched the game in a month, so it was a surprise reading about this one on wiki, I'll have to check the borderlands website later about this.

I like the game, I just wish the PC version wasn't such a crappy port of the console version. Playing online on the PC is a major pain (the only way me and my friend could connect is through Hamachi), glitches abound (including ones that force you to reload your save, plus it can cause blue-screens >_<), and the textures are very good at fsking themselves up after one of the more recent patches.

So I picked this up recently for the ps3, been enjoying the game. Even played a little bit of the zombie dlc tagging along a higher level group. Man, ok, I'm a bit frightened of some of those zombies.

Anybody play this on the ps3? Actually, anybody still play this game?

I just got back to it. Picked it up, hit level 4. Stopped to play other games and literally just went back. Level 24 as Roland right now and enjoying it. PC version.

I pop onto every once in awhile still. (Black Ops takes up most of my gaming time) Its such a great game!

I'm playing this as well, currently lvl 17 or 18 as Mordecai.
This is my third attempt to play it through. My previous attempts were ruined by WoW and StarCraft 2's release.
Armored Skags (alpha Skags iirc) really suck, especially the boss versions. Having fun though.
PC version btw

Loved it. Damned shame my drive that had it went toes-up.
Completed one go-through as Mordecai. Loved the guns, especially the local alien gun that had the awesome binary text.

I play a soldier -- lots of fun -- thought I do wish that the guns had a customization feature. That would make the game absolutely rock.

Lvl 41 on Mordecai, im addicted. Finished the game, finished Zombie Island of Dr. Ned DLC, pretty deep into the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC now.

I passed on the Moxxi DLC though, seems like its just waves of arena fighting.

Now all ya gotta do is play the other DLC, the claptrap revolution one.

Well into claptrap :)
Overall the Dr Ned and Claptrap DLCs are awesome. Knoxx is less so.
