Anyone else watched the last show? I'm guessing the idea was to release this show around the same time as Zombieland right?
Found it interesting that Clark did nothing else than pass out in order to save Metropolis... is this a preview of things to come? the humans keep saving themselves while Clark broods mysterious/aloof with his blue sweatpants and long coat?

Sigh... LE sigh!
OK, the last two week's shows have cast a mighty atonement spell on Smallville's past transgressions. Yesterday's flash to a post apocalyptic ruled by Zod future was just breathtaking. I am LOVING this show. More than Supernatural (which is now a close second, and just because I don't think they are ending the show this year anymore, due the sudden appearance of many "filler", non plot-relevant shows...)
However, Smallville just kicks ass, which leads me to believe this may be it for the show after this season.
Anyone knows more info about both shows' longevity?
I think that Smallville might end this season but something else would take it's place like Metropolis, J.S.A. or J.L.A. and next week we get to see the J.S.A. whoohoo!!

I've really been liking this season as well. I think it's the final evolution of the characters into people that resemble the Superman mythos we all know and love. Lois/Clark is such a better pairing than Lana/Clark! I've heard that Tom Welling has said he was negotiating a tenth season, but this season was originally supposed to be the final one. I also know there are legal issues between Warner Brothers and Superman's creator's family over rights and licensing and I could see that getting in the way of another season. Part of me would like to see the show end on an up-note, and this season is certainly leading me to think it's going to be just that. But I also love the show and want more of it, so maybe a tenth season wouldn't be so bad. As long as it maintained the current quality next year, that would be pretty cool.

At some point I'd like to see Clark hook up with young Bruce Wayne (perhaps giving him a lecture on justice, so as to realign young Bruce onto the right path; i.e. if we follow the "Batman Begin" mythos, young Bruce went through many crazy years bent on revenge before he settled into the Batman/crimefighter role...)
Young Bruce could join Oliver Queen, Chloe and the rest of the Watchtower folks, etc.

Warner Brothers would never allow Batman to be used on the show. I think the best we could hope for is a referance to Gotham and the freak who protects it.

Just finished the finale. Pretty good, though definitely felt rushed.
After ten years, though, it was nice to finally see Clark in the red and blue.
I didn't realize none of us had commented on Smallville for over a year... Did anyone else watch the last season?

I'm rather happy that it didn't work out that way. Transplanting young Bruce from Gotham to Farmville just doesn't work for me.
I've seen every episode and own almost every season on DVD or BD. It makes me sad seeing something end after it's meant so much to me for the past 10 years. Fighting for the TV in the college lounge during the early seasons and bringing so many into watching it. I was tearing up during the last five minutes. The episode is still sitting on my PS3 for me to watch again soon.
