Common RPG misconceptions:

1: You are male
2: You have no life/girlfriend/etc
3: You're personal hygene is horrid

Whenever I talk about playing D&D people give me the funniest looks. "You play D&D?!?"

Jenny, you should talk to your costume people and photographer and arrange a Seoni shoot. I guarantee that your site would get flooded with hits from this board! I think you definitely have what it takes to pull off a very good look-alike. :D

And if you have any brunette friends who want to take on the Amiri role, feel free to include them in the shoot as well.

Chris dont get me in trouble with the other girls here!
the ones that mess me have been Xtra nice, specialli considering i dont have much experience in gaming!

actualli i would LOVE 2 play with a girl (okay okay! i know ... insert yur naughty joke here! giggle)

so far i ve only played with guys i m sure another girl would add a LOT 2 my gaming experience! i tried 2 get my sister 2 play but i think the best wuld be someone with experience in gaming!

FateSpinner: I would love 2 do a Seoni shoot!
actually my artist friend Bruce Colero wants me 2 be a Ice Sorceress (like the ones from the game called Warhammer)

Welcome to the boards, Jenny. Glad to see a new face jumping into the RPG hobby with such enthusiasm.

A number of us are old-timers, having played RPGs since the 80's (or earlier in a few cases).

Thanks for keeping the lifeblood flowing in this geeky pastime we all love so much.

Maybe just a bit. The girls that are here may not be models but some of us are pretty cute!! ;)

I'll jump on the bandwagon for a Seoni shoot too. That can be mixed in very easily with the ice sorceress concept.

I love when I tell my friends I am a gamer. And that I know people from our game site that are docs and lawyers and now I can add Models. :)

Jenny, any way you could post your Facebook address to make sure we don't get one of the knockoffs?

Guys like Armando and Elmore are among the envied few who are both lucky and talented enough to have made successful careers out of their artistry. Just like with any "dream job", it's difficult to rise above the rest when everyone wants to be doing your job. It's good to hear that he's got a full schedule.

FWIW, I do costuming commissions on the side (links to some of my work are in my profile). If you decide to act on some of the photo shoot ideas that folks like Fatespinner, Urizen, and I have suggested, I'd be willing to cut you a good price if only to increase the visibility of my work. It would be a fun challenge working on some more exotic pieces like the one Seoni wears. (Incidentally, the pic you used for your avatar is Seoni.)

Our hobby just reached a new high.

No longer can the average gamer be assumed to be an unwashed 13-year old boy, with bad acne and poor hygiene. We got a model into the hobby and she has pictures to prove her credibility. This is great news! We have been vindicated. Jenny here reminds me a bit of Doro Pesch from Warlock; anyone remember them????

Yeah, I've got the 3rd Edition books of Rolemaster. I used to play with a DM that combined 2nd Edition with Rolemaster. In fact, I think that was how Monte got the idea for 3rd Edition; he brought in the skill system from Rolemaster. Love those crit tables!

Hey Jenny!

Welcome to our crazy little corner of the RPG world. It is good to see more women getting into gaming. When I started to game back in 1980, I swear I was the only girl at GenCon that year! Now there seems to be a lot more women playing games, which is awesome. In any case, welcome to the fold.

Btw, we have our own gaming convention called PaizoCon that is growing rapidly up here in Seattle. We'd love to have you come out and learn how to play Pathfinder! You'll never find a more welcoming group of 500 gamers in the world. And the UK artist Wayne Reynolds is our guest of honor at the show. I noticed in your other thread that you love his artwork!

In any case, welcome to the sisterhood of RPG gamers. A proud and growing bunch!

-Lisa

PS: Paizo is my company. :)

NESSA: the 3rd RPG character I played!

NESSA was a warrior priestess/druidess of Freya, she was a kick ass nordic axe-swinging nature lover (I still have that axe! a super nice gift from a guy who makes ancient weapons here in Quebec!)
NESSA had a companion Norse Snow Lynx called MANI (played in picture 9 by the ferocious Toonces! giggle ... Toonces just wuldnt stay still for the photos!)

The pictures dont have nudity but my server I loaded them on could make them NOT SAFE FOR WORK!

I hope you like them!

Never said I thought hot gamer chicks were a myth. (Matt, note the use of "they." I didn't say "I thought hot gamer chicks were a myth"). The rest of the population seems to think it, and I was just noting that there is irrefutable evidence here. Solnes, I had no idea what gender you were, let alone know what you look like. Take offense if you want, but I meant it merely as a "next time someone says there are no hot gamer chicks, I can just show them these pictures and they could NOT argue."

Hey Lisa!

You own the company wow! that s really cool! CONGRATS!
Girl Power all the way! :-)

I would love 2 be at your convention
Wayne Reynold's art is wayyyyyy HOT can he draw my next character? giggle

There is a growing number of people planning on cosplaying at Paizocon this year. If you aren't able to make that, I would then suggest considering cosplay for GenCon.

Ruling out Teleporting, there's no way for me to get there, but it would be absolutely awesome to be able to attend Paizocon this year it seems.. :-) Ah, well, one can always dream....

Those pictures of your are stunning, Jenny! If only I could talk my wife into donning a costume like that... hehe... Welcome to this huge family!

Welcome to the Paizo boards, Ms. Poussin. I hope you have fun here!

And if you're looking at attending conventions, I'll second Laithoron's suggestion about DragonCon. It has a fantastic costuming contingent every year, and the outfits that show up are always amazing!

Yay! More Canadian gamers! There's a strong contingent of bilingual gamers on this site Jenny and a few from Montreal. Welcome to the site. I wasnt sure if I should show this one but I'm a GREAT MOOD so here is another pic: artwork of me this time!

Its Fantasy Art Bruce Colero did of my FIRST RPG caharacter ever: my pixie-faerie Ismene!

ISMENE was a naughty and flirty super tiny lil thing that wielded magic and culd change shape and grow to the form of an elf or a human!
she also had spells like charm (not that she needed it much! giggle) and sleep

BIG WARNING: Bruce always draws me nude (i keep asking for some artwork with clothing but ... hey ... you GOTTA respect the artist right? ask him yurself!) AAAAAnywayyyy its Nudity and Art NOT porn!
Still you are warned if nudity offends you DONT OPEN THE LINK okay?
