In most cases, yes. Broken = disagree/dislike.

At least IMO.

EDIT: Woot, new page!

[broken] & [sucks] : Two terms, often empty of actual meaning that i cannot stand, in these messageboards or others.

Calling a bard broken because he can't hold his own in melee combat the same way a fighter can is just ignorance at work, in the same way calling a fighter broken because he can't provide bonuses to everyone else's combat powers as good as a bard can.

QFW!

James just reinforced why I love him.

Broken has 3 "urban" meanings I've encountered...

1) Overpowered
2) Sucks
3) Not working as intended

Overpowered is self explanatory. Sucks is the person doesn't like it. And not working literally is doesn't work right.

Nerfed is a common word whose origins need no explanation. When something gets nerfed it usually means something has been depowered, for better or worse is a matter of opinion.

Most of the time I find it means "I don't like this because I don't really understand how it works / I just threw the party a situation that one of their characters is perfectly suited for and they owned it hard, screwing up my plans". IE most of the "Paladin is broken!" threads involve someone having their Big Bad slugging it out with a Paladin and getting demolished by Smite Evil, instead of taking that into consideration.

This thread is broken. My personal gaming prejudices have much more validity than yours. Submit to my point of view now, so that I may win teh interwebz.
