Flogging Molly show beat the stuffing out of the Dropkick Murphys show from the other week. They had two openers, one I didnt get to hear as we wound around the block waiting to get patted down by security. Second band, the Architects, were GREAT. They even busted out a pretty good cover of 'Sin City'.
Flogging Molly can make a person move. They even brought in Guinness' brewmaster from Ireland to the show! That was different. They played a LOT of songs, including: Float/Salty Dog/Tobacco Island/Whats Left of the Flag/Ever Leave this World Alive/Black Friday Rule/Rebels of the Sacred Heart/ and the one I LOVE: Drunken Lullabies. If youve seen/heard the recent FM: Live from the Greek Theater dvd/cd, that was the sterilized version of the show. You missed out on the raw power of the live performance, though.
On the way up we also listened to Justin Hawkins post-Darkness release HOT LEG Cocktails...another drinking song, aw yeah!
