i'm just in a "covers" mood i guess...

For some reason, I've found that punk and folk music work on approximately the same structure. Sometimes I'll play a folk-y, acoustic version of a punk song ("Don't Lose Touch" by Against Me! and "Fix Me" by Black Flag work very well), or speed up a folk song on the electric guitar ("Hard Times Come Again No More" by Peter Mulvey fits nicely) just for fun. And, my lack of talent nonwithstanding, it actually doesn't sound bad.
