Heaven has fallen, death has been overturned and the daemons have released the primordial evil.
The living realm is in ruins. There are no more civilizations left to save. Only a small bastion of heroes can save existence from oblivion but only if they can survive and triumph in the Final Fight.

Dotting :)

(Looks around at the destruction wrought by the daemons) "This is why we can't have nice things..."

Dotting this, so on, so forth.

Finished up the character, feel free to take a peek. Question: Since this is essentially 1 extended encounter I didn't bother with rituals; should I have?

Probaly not going to need them.

Hmm. I'm now dithering between an upgraded version of Clovis the halfling Wild Sorcerer/Wild Mage/Deadly Trickster or a drow Storm Sorcerer/Daggermaster/Prince of Hell.

Or something else entirely. What's the party lineup like at this point? I've lost track.

By the last count it was

2 leaders
2 controllers
3 strikers
1 defender

or

2 leaders
2 controllers
2 strikers
2 defenders

or somthing like that.

(Female Elf level 3 monk)

1 leader (cleric)
1 defender (paladin)
2 controllers (wizard, druid)
2 strikers (barbarian, avenger)

i think is what we are at

Hmm. You folks want yet another striker or would a leader/defender be more useful? Melee/ranged split looks about even.

I have an opening in my game 'A Road Home' to replace a player who droped out you can eithe take over the warforged fighter he was playing or bring in your own 11th level character.

Who were you talking to in this one? Isnt Davi and Rev Rosey already in on it?

Oops, you or Amael get first choice, in fact I could probaly include both of you. If you or don't Amael want in I'll open it to any one.

Yes, sir. Davi and I are both in this and it's a lot of fun. Nasty mystery in wartorn Eberron. Our erstwhile leader has hidden depths.

I really want in then, how fast do you need me to step in. I do not like fighters for some reason, but I could be one if you need time to work a new guy into the story. I would want to play a swordmage if possible. If you dont want to mix your Faerun with your Eberron I can go with a different defender.

I'm running a strict Eberron game, nothing outside is allowed. Also the only races allowed are human, elf, dwarf, gnome, half-elf, half-orc, changlings, kalashtar, shifters, halflings and warforged.

The warforged is the party's only defender.

(Female Elf level 3 monk)

No problem, I will roll up a Paladin tonight, probably a changling I find that combination appealing. Any specific rules for making the guy? Or just the standard?

Well if you have room for another I'd like in,

otherwise Detritus has first dibs i believe.

If you get in too and want to make a paladin, (i think you mentinoed they are your favorite before) I am ok with a second one in the group, some people get mad about having two of the same class in a group, but I dont mind if you dont. I am going 1h/shield route as well.

Shoot I'd just be happy to play :)

But no I wouldnt have a problem with that, I could make a
more damage dealer-like paladin to compliment the group or
I could make a 1h/shield paladin to help out on defense as well.

Amael, Detritus I'll add both of you to the game.

lol sweet Xabulba, appreciate it :)

I'll start working on my character
for that too.

Excellent!

Now - before I forget and decide to stick with a sorcerer of some kind - what do you all think about triple strikers? Good thing? Bad thing? Tell me to go away and cook up something else entirely?

I hardly ever play fighters (don't like them much), but it might almost be fun for a one-off battle if you all think we're sticky defender light.

Well I think an extra striker is always good, and as far

as stickiness goes, if we really need sticky I can make a
more charisma based paladin with an emphasis on multimarking
abilities (I could prob scrounge up at least 3 powers that mark
in a 3 square effect) or I could stick with the str pal as well...
I say pick whichever class is more fun for you to play, Rosey :)

Hey Guys! I've been watching the thread and just wanted to say hi and join the cheerleader squad :). Should be neat to see how really high end fights work.

Amelia, if you want to give it a whirl, take my theoretical spot. You'd be really welcome if you want it.

(Male Humanoid Lurker 1/ Nerd 1)

Hey, Xabulba was willing to take a maximum of eight people, right? There's room for everyone in this lovely little extended battle sequence.

I don't see why not, the more the merrier :)

Play what you want. For one extended battle it's not going to be that big a deal. We'll either win or lose, hopefully that will be dependent on more than what role you play.

Exactly...and when in doubt, blame the Paladin...it's what he's there for.

(male Halfling Chaos Sorcerer/Wild Mage/Deadly Trickster 29)

Going with Clovis. His damage is now +34 which is higher than his attack bonus. Starting the lengthy but entertaining process of re-doing his stats page.

He deserves to go down in a blaze of glory.

Hey, I know you, Clovis! :)

Done bar finalisation of equipment.

Anyone have an easy way to get all the info for such a mega character onto their profile?

Compendium cut and paste. Neither quick, nor easy, but better than doing it all by hand.

JZ here. Joneth my a paladin character whose seen his share of TPKs and disappeared adventures. Here he is, recast as an avenger, and about thirty years older.

Clovis Woodsman wrote:

I thought the Clovis woodsman all died out in the last ice age. Oh well I make sure I get them all this time. :)

This particular Clovis Woodsman probably caused the last ice age. Control really isn't his thing.

Here's the line up so far as I can tell...

THE CREW
Akhad: Paladin (Amael)
Mythacris: Wizard (Ghettowedge)
Elwyndas: Barbarian (Fabeminis)
Sefra: Cleric (Deitritus)
Clovis: Sorceror (Rosey)
Joneth: Avenger (JZ)
Jack Ceniarc: Druid (Davi)

Anyone I missed?

I will have the game thread up and running tomorrow.

*fingers crossed*

(M half-orc Dungeon Master lvl 18)

Just letting you know that I'm going away for the weekend (celebrating my wife's birthday and my birthday early - both are the 9th), so I won't be ableto post Friday - Sunday.

(Male Eladrin Barbarian)

Elwyndas is now on iplay4e.

Update: Starting on Moday.

Was gonna suggest that, good call :)

Do you need me to send you my character
builder file, Xabulba?
