Comrades in arms, while we may all believe in freedom, we shall be venturing forth against the drow, that race of evil nasty bad creatures who we love to be if not for the +1 level adjustment. For which reason, I move that one of our number should be nominally designated leader, preferably someone who has strategic and tactical accumen to help us survive our foray against the drow. Do I hear a nomination to the post?
Well, since we don't yet know we're going up against the Drow as characters(correct me if I'm wrong, DM), I nominate the Paladin of Tyr for his unimpeachable moral character and dedication to the values of Law and Goodness.

You're correct about the initial information. The characters do not have knowledge that they will face drow initially.
Corvax: Nothing glaring out as wrong (or silliness). The only request is that over your special abilities, please put a header with the domain name. (I know which ones they are, but just in case I forget about it later). Many thanks. Otherwise you're set.
All: Since you are in Cormyr, and you are going to be adventuring together, there will be a charter involved. The naming that Radavel has suggested would be helpful. The charter will be provided at no charge, initially, as I don't want to burden the party with the charter, especially for the adventures involved.
One question: are you all adventuring together, or is will I need to bring you all together? This is handy to know, and will affect the first few posts I make.
I say GM brings us all together.
Something like we all wake up with a magic tattoo that's going to kill us in 7 days, and only with us ALL cooperating can we free ourselves.
btw any drow spotted wielding twin scimitars is the first target..ok guys
Dual-weilding is fairly common in the first book "Homeland", so if you want to attack every Drizzt wanna-be go ahead, I can sing just as well when I'm fighting the casters.

Well, if we are all adventuring together, perhaps we're called the Darkwood or Ironwood Company. It would be better if we all knew each other. The process of bringing characters together for the first time during Play-by-Post does add about a week to the beginning.
Nice to meet you all. Sunaj here. I am a half-orc as you can readily see. Mama and Papa were not exactly model parents but I thank them for everything that is now right in my life.
If I get a vote, I like the Ironwood Company for the name of your group via the charter. I also agree with Greene (Warforged Gardener) that having you all know each other from the beginning makes much more sense, it would shorten the first part of the adventure by several posts (which, in most cases, takes an additional week or two to complete). I can write a post for either way, but I think that knowing each other would be best to jump right into the adventure, and start slaying drow and their allies.
Perhaps you all met in the Dales? It would come to pass as a group who has been investigating the rumors that someone is in Myth Drannor, when your group gets a letter from a merchant friend in Tilverton. This way you all have met, and have a common link with the merchant in Tilverton. The merchant can be any number of things, but likely is someone who deals in "antiquities" (relics, and other such things). Perhaps he has been trading with some of the Dales for some of the antique elven goods they run across, that aren't being used or are dangerous.
Characters Ready:
Sunaj
Greene
Kane
Finrod
Corvax
Onyx
Huergar
Sir Basil

DM:
Spoiler:
Would it be possible for this merchant in Tilverton to be one of Greene's former victims, a traveler he robbed in the High Forest during his days as a bandit for the Thorn? As part of his personal penance, he could have looked him up later and pledged to return as much as he could pay him(your call whether Greene has already returned the money or is planning to do so in person). Whether the group is already an adventuring company or not, Green would have a personal connection to the merchant and a reason to help him. But it's up to you. :)
Yes, it's very possible that the merchant is one of your former victims. This can be the "final payment," so to speak, for the debts you caused him. I'm certainly happy to oblige you on this. This would be work out pretty well, actually. I'm certain that someone selling foodstuffs from the Dalelands as far west as the western part of the North (not quite to the Sword Coast) and as far east as the eastern Dalelands has seen his fair share of banditry. He might even have been pleasantly surprised to find your reform, and willingness to pay him back.
Kara:
Spoiler:
Two things:
1: When referring to you from NPC's, you want to be called "Lyra," by your background. Just making sure before I start posting the wrong thing.
2: What is in your "standard adventuring gear?" My assumption is rope, 5 days of rations, a backpack, bedroll, and two sets of clothes. If I am incorrect please correct me. Otherwise, I like the character, and I'm happy to approve everything.
You are right about the Standard kit, it's from PHB2 and I've been writing that down instead of 6 different things to save time. I can change it to what it all is if you want.
NPC's that don't know her may 'confuse' with Kara of the Silver Hair, but she'll just say she gets that all the time. Her family on the other hadn(and the people from the carnival) will know her on sight. I should really put some ranks in disguise...
Thank you. I like it when a character is more invested in the plight of a quest-giver. Rounds Greene out a little more.
Greene:
Spoiler:
You're very welcome.
What form does your fiendish heritage take? I'm curious, as not all Tieflings have the same features. Do you want the standard devil horns & ill presence, or are you more exotic?

Spoiler:
I actually haven't decided beyond the red eyes and probably some fangs. There used to be a chart you could roll on if you weren't sure. 4e pictures make me think a tail would be be cool, though I don't like the enormous "Legend" horns.
I'm also thinking that perhaps Kane is hiding in somewhere like Highmoon, on the run from bounty hunters sent by the Thorn. Perhaps he took just a little too much of a percentage...?
My background takes Huergar from Damara to Impultur then by sea to the Dalelands. That last part I left vague so the DM can take some liberties to mesh Huergar's story with the group.
I like the name Ironwood Company. Huergar was once apprenticed to a merchant, and other merchants play prominently in his background, so it makes sense he would seek out that type of person when arriving in a new place. Finrod dislikes towns, but Huergar enjoys the comforts and opportunities of civilization. Both Huergar and Finrod have experienced abuse at the hands of goblins. Corvax also has goblins in his past.
I think Huergar would be drawn to Kane because he admires his skills; also that he is nimble (something Huergar is not).
Sir Basil is widely traveled, and it's possible he and Huergar met during Huergar's sea voyage to the Dalelands. Huergar's lawful goodness is a private matter that he takes for granted and doesn't give much thought. He will not easily grasp the motivation of the paladins.
Huergar is more comfortable in the company of humans than dwarves. He has no affinity for magic, so Onyx would be interesting to Huergar mostly because of his knowledge.
It's unclear how Huergar will take to the others, with their CN alignments or monstrous characteristics. Should be fun to see how it plays out!
Shouldn't your BAB be +6/+1? (I think +1 for small size is not part of BAB.) Also, it seems like you're short some ability points. I count Str11-2+4 (1), Dex 17+2 (13), Con14 (5), Int12 (2), Wis13 (3), Cha 10+2 (0) = 24 point buy, and where are the two ability score boosts for your character level?

Good catch Minkscooter (I honestly didn't catch it). Kane, you're welcome to fix it, and call yourself ready again.
As to the PbP itself, since that one thing shouldn't stop us from starting (hey, I like getting a head start, and possibly an extra post in), HERE is the opening post for the campaign. It has been noted in my profile, so that makes it easier (I hope).
Don't they? Huh, been doing it wrong a long time then. I shall fix it promptly.
In other news I just broke two bones in my leg so I am pretty much guaranteed to post whenever I can for the next two weeks at least. I am a captive audience.
Wow, that sucks. Though it could be seen as unplanned vacation with no sight seeing or fun. Nevermind forget I just said that. I hope you have sick time available to cover it. I hope you recover quickly

May you be healed of your injuries soon! Seriously, I appreciate the ability to post whenever, but breaking two bones just stinks as the reason to be able to do it.
Ah its fine, I broke them doing something that up til the breakage was lots of fun. I am a student so I'm getting all my lectures emailed to me for the next little while.
