Uh, you might have more luck posting this in the Gamer Connection forum. In any case, I'm interested. I've played in a game of this before, but it ended a bit after the first encounter.
EDIT: Here's the player's guide. Anyway, call me interested in a half-elf warlock, star pact. Would you allow powers/feats from the Wish Upon A Star article from Dragon? (Free download, even if you aren't subscribed)

Ahh, I may as well get some use out of my DDI sub, ok so I will be interested.
Edit, Gary or someone, can we move this to the Gamer Connection forum?

Whoops. I'll copy and paste it there. You guys are in, though. Davi, thanks for posting the Player's Guide. I want everyone to read it before deciding on a character concept.

Hmm, board didn't like the second half of my post ...
I am ok with powers, feats, etc. from Dragon, but I am officially nixing any races or classes from the electronic sources.

You know, the races and classes that only appeared in Dragon. In other words, no Revenent Assassins for you. (Probably no gnolls either.)
That's funny. That's exactly the example I was thinking of. I am running a tabletop game (conversion of CotCT, actually) and have not enjoyed most of the non-book stuff. Even the powers and feats are a bit iffy sometimes, but I don't think they can actually upset things all that much.

Dang, I was just going to use CB for it anyway. I haven' decided on what to play though, a warlock would have been nice. Maybe a cleric, he he
Yes, I was just going to point out to those using the Character Builder that there are additional options available in the Player's Guide. They are certainly not necessary but might add a fun 'connection' to the campaign world.
Also, I have not yet decided whether I want to name the gods, yet. As it stands, they are referred to generically as the 'god of ...' I considered using the gods as listed in the PHB, but they don't cover all the major gods of Gate Pass. Another option would be to try the Forgotten Realms gods, as there always seem to be enough of those. Or, I could mix and match. Or come up with my own (way too much work). Or I could just let you guys do it if someone wants to run a cleric, paladin, avenger, etc.
I say to just stick with just stick with the PHB gods and take gods from different settings when you need more. For a short list of what gods would be which:
Spoiler:
God of Knowledge: Either Ioun or Aureon( UnalignedGod of Knowledge, Magic and Law from Eberron)
God of Healing: Pelor
Goddess of Strength: Dol Arrah(LG Goddess of Honor and Light from Eberron), or Dol Dorn (Unaligned God of Strength and War from Eberron)
God of Revelry: Olladra(Good Goddess of Luck and Merry-Making from Ebberon)
Dwarf God of Mountains: Moradin(duh)
God of Battle: Kord
God of Sorcery: The god you didn't pick for God of Knowledge. Alternatively, The Shadow(Evil God of Dark Magic and Corruption from Ebberon) if you want him to be evil.
Goddess of Hearth and Home: Melora
Also, would you be willing to give everyone a free copy of Weapon/Implement Expertise, since it's basically a fix to the attack scaling in feat form and everyone here will be taking it within the next three levels anyway?

Hmmm, I was thinking of a monk, wizard, invoker or cleric, in that order, depending on the role needed to fill the group.
I'd like to nix the monk until the PHB3 actually comes out and I can have a copy in hand. My tabletop group tried to run one from the online information and we were pretty disappointed. Basically, I'm trying to avoid anything as major as a class or race unless it has been vetted and actually appears in a book.

That's cool but the PH3 come out yesterday and I thinking of going with a shardmind psion.
But if that don't float how about a simple Dragonborn or Minotaur fighter.

Oh, sorry, Xabulba, but Smerg got in just before you, and he really is 5:
Eric, Davi, Amelia, Tieren, and Smerg.
Like I said in the gamer connect, you're definitely first alternate.
As for PHB3 stuff, I didn't realize it was out already. I'll run out and grab it and then it's fair game.
PHB3 is partly out. Some FLGSs were allowed to sell it early, and it comes out fully next week, though DDI won't update with it until the April update. I'll have my Tiefling warlord ready later today.
so, clearly, something in the way of a defender (warden might be nice) or controller (invoker?). Personally, I don't really care if you play an entire party of strikers or defenders or whatever mix you want. It might be interesting to see how a party like that stacks up.
I strongly encourage everyone to download and read the Players' Guidebefore statting up your characters. Hey, it's free!

Let me know on what your preferences are for me.
Well, as it stands right now, it seems that we have confirmed:

So Monk is out at least for now, ok then I will look at either wizard or invoker, human most likely. I will decide later tjis evening.

So, I'm guessing that's a no then?
Anyway, I'm done with everything but the background/description for my sheet.

No, maybe I'm just not sufficiently up on all the forum-buzz, but I don't see any need to rectify a serious balance issue. In other groups I've run/played, many people never took those feats and seemed to do just fine.

OK, 1/5 ready to go!

Eh, it was worth a shot. Besides, it's not that major a problem anyway. The monsters' defenses just scale slightly faster than characters' attack bonuses. I'm still certainly going to take it, but that's mainly because I'm planning on taking a few dailies that don't do anything on a miss further down the line.
I'm gonna be working on my character tonight and ill have it done by tomorrow am not sure what I want to play yet.
Well, we've got a Warlock, a Warden, a Warlord and probably a Wizard. I'm tempted to ask you to play a Warforged just to get a full team of words starting with W, but just play whatever you want.

Also, each character needs a "wish list" of magic items for treasure purposes. Feel free to put anything on the list, but you might want to focus on items in the 2-5 level range.
Also, I am not a book collector, nor am I a subscribed to DDI. So, know that I own the following books with magic items in them:
PHB & PHB2
Adventurer's Vault
Manual of the Planes
I have access to other books through other friends, though, so you can put other stuff on your list, if you like. If it's too wacky, though, odds are you won't get it. :)

Sorry for not having any updates, wife had surgery today, but it went well. I will be sporadic until she comes home from the hospital.
I will play a human wizard, and will work on him, when I'm not so blanking tired. I might need a couple of days before I get him finished.
I've finished my background. Audric Dolet, thieves' guild sympathizer and occasional singer of the songs from between the spheres, is now officially ready.
EDIT: Oh, have you decided what your doing for the gods yet? Going with what I recommended or something else?
EDIT: Oh, have you decided what your doing for the gods yet? Going with what I recommended or something else?
Still working on the gods. I'm leaning toward just going with the PHB gods and squeezing them into the places where they don't fit exactly. Not everyone has the Eberron books (like me, for example), and I want it to be as simple as possible, particularly since it looks like we're not going to have any extremely religious characters, anyway. I'll post something soon.
Question, Can I substitute Gabal’s Superior Missile for the Magic Missile spell?
Also added BG skill, and bonus feat.
Eric, can you tell me what your feats do?
Also, note that Gabal's Superior Missile is an encounter power, not an at-will, so it can't replace Magic Missile. If you'd like to replace your encounter, be my guest.

Numerous temples dot the city of Gate Pass, but there are eight major temples, dedicated to the following gods:
The Saraswatin - Library of Ioun - Ioun is the god of Knowledge, skill, and prophecy.
Mercineum - Temple of Bahamut - Bahamut is the god of protection and, by extension, healing. It should be noted that the Order of the Aquiline Cross has taken over the responsibilities of Mercinea priests in Gate Pass.
Stronghold - Temple of Kord - Kord is the god of strength and lord of battle.
The Bacchanal - Inn of Avandra - Avandra is the goddess of freedom, travel, and adventure.
Dassen Stone - Temple of Moradin - This is primarily a temple to the god of the Dwarven Ancestors, but there is a shrine to Kord here, as well, as the city guard trains now that the dwarf population is almost completely gone from the city.
Shrine to Corellon - Corellon is the goddess of arcane magic, primarily magic that is not the result of years of study (that is the domain of Ioun) but, rather, innate or natural to world and its inhabitants. Warlocks and sorcerers are the primary worshipers here.
Fertile Fields - Temple of Pelor - As the god of the sun (and keeper of time), Pelor is also worshiped as god of harvest and agriculture and hearth.
Again, all the gods in the PHB are worshiped somewhere in Gate Pass and should be considered possible patrons for PCs.
Choosing Background of Resistance which gives the feat Blade of the Resistance.
Bonus Skill choice is Doll Making.
Background
Fist works most days as a rancher outside of the city of Gate Pass. He is not very successful at ranching and has tried several different crops and animals. Usually, he scrapes by in getting enough money and food to make it through another season but usually something drastic happens each year to leave him again scrambling to have anything to show for all his work.
In the evenings and winter months when there is less to occupy his time, Fist carves dolls to sell at market. His first were pretty poor and in the end could only be used as fire wood. He is getting better at the carving but the faces at times are pretty simple. His big problem is trying to sew the small dresses for the dolls.
He has to get the widow, Treesinger, to help him with that part as he finds the needles are too small often for his chunky fingers.
He makes the dolls as he remembers a time when toys were forbidden during the occupation.
