Bill! Good to hear from you. Since you're posting, I assume life is settling down now?

Dabbler, I shudder to consider the fate of future generations.

Yeah, although it may not be so much that things are settling down as my having a better handle on them. My apologies, again, for bailing. I hope you won't hold it against me.

Me too, so I decided to do something about it ... seriously, when I went for interview and met a recent biochemistry graduate who could not say what main constituent of their surroundings trees are made of when I, a physics graduate from 20 years ago who never studied any biology could, then I knew science teaching was in BIG trouble.

Billzabub, it's good to meet you, too. I hope we get the chance to play together at some point.

Dabbler wrote:

Me too, Dabbler. I like Emerion's flair, and it looks like you're fitting in just fine. Hmmmm . . . I wonder how he is with Knievsies? Oh, and he should hit on Istas. A lot. She likes it.

So, do you follow what you Brits call footie? What about you FW? What are your teams? I've actually been following Spurs for years, and watch every game I can.

Well Bill I'm a loyal Scotsman and support two teams..Scotland... and anyone playing against England.

My wifes the big footie fan and she supports Liverpool

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

I am not a footie fan, and sadly because I live near Manchester (I moved up to be near my kids) you can guess which team my kids (and their stepfather) all support ... I dread the summer. The local ice-cream vans play the 'Match of the Day' theme-tune (FW and Wellard will know what I mean). Truly, I have not the words.

Since the day Kevin Keegan won the FA Cup Final for Liverpool in 1974 I have been their fan. My father is from there, and his father but he supported the rivals Everton.

For the last decade, supporting Liverpool has been more of a test than before that when they were great. Spurs and Liverpool don't have a big rivalry like we do with the likes of Man Utd or Arsenal. But they are vying for the same all important fourth spot in the league at the moment.

As for Man U, Dabbler, I try to be cool, calm and collected but.......words fail me.

TT, I was raised on the edge of Bodmin Moor (sort of near the Hound of the Baskervilles territory - Dartmoor) and a few years before I started school, say about 1975, a teacher "in the sticks" lost his job for using a cat of nine tails on the kids. I don't know ho many years he had been getting away with it but the kids of today have it sooo easy now.

Cheers

Dabbler/Wellard are you guys busy the weekend of April 10th???

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

I believe that's one of my free weekends.

April 10th is a working weekend for me unfortunately.

Wellard, I can appreciate your rooting against a a team. I'm from NY, and the only thing bigger than football/soccer to me is hockey, or NY Islanders hockey, to be more specific. Which means I root for the Islanders and whoever is playing the NY Rangers, as well as the Washington Capitals, since I've been in the DC area for almost 14 years now.

As for Man U, Dabbler & FW, I can understand your distaste for them, and I can say I feel the same. As someone who grew up in NY, for me, it equates to everyone in the world rooting for the Yankees. Same goes for Chelsea. I can respect Arsenal, because they don't have the same big budget, and out of the big four, Liverpool would be my favorite. Of course, I'm also pulling for Everton, with Dempsey in goal and Landon Donovan playing mid, but not at Tott'nam's expense.

Howard, not Dempsey, being the keeper for Everton, of course.

Crouch with two for England!

Cat of nine tails?! That's unbelievable. I had it pretty soft in school, but I've got contemporaries with stories of the "Grey Nuns" and corporal punishment, mostly rulers and switches.

Regarding April 10th, if it slows your posting schedule I forbid it, or else:

Spoiler:
Yeah, like I can forbid anything! Have fun if you get together. I'm jealous.

I've had a cold most of this week and its won. I'm off to bed, I'll post either tomorrow or Saturday.

Dabbler, I'll speak to you about April over the weekend.

Cheers

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Dude, I'm just finishing up that cold. I'm really sorry I gave it to you.

Awwwww, c'mon, Neil. You don't want me to sub-Heather for you?

Billzabub wrote:

What? Do you mean Istas? Or were you looking to sub for Wellard's character? He plays Heather. What are you talking about? I'm afraid I don't follow your question.

D'oh. Crossed wires in the brain, sorry. I saw Wellard's post to DMPC Heather, and mixed him with you running Istas. My bad.

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Bill, would you like to come back into the fold? I have polled the group and no one dissented. You're welcome here.

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

Indeed. With his gifts added to Kenan's and Emerion's and we should be able to talk our enemies around without fighting ...

Seriously? Dude, you just made my day! If you don't mind running six PCs, I'd love to get back in. Thanks, gang, I really appreciate it.

However you want to discuss bringing Keliwyn back, either here or via email, is fine with me.

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

Better work you into the harrow reading then ....

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Or not in the Harrow reading.

Bill, there's a thread of inquiry the PCs have not picked up that I would like to set Keliwyn onto. The elves would be interested.

Let me work it up a bit. I'll probably run you in a separate thread for a little.

Sounds fun, and I look forward to seeing what you have for me.

May I be so bold to suggest Keliwyn and Emerion already know each other? It certainly seems like their paths would have crossed already.

And thanks, again, everyone.

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

No objections from me to that ...

Keliwyn is levelled up & ready to go.

4th level hit points: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Edit: Gah! Another 2 hp brings him up to a whopping 18 hp at 4th level. Good thing we have two clerics.

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

I'll double check Keliwyn tonight or tomorrow. I'll have to do something about his gear. Since he's working for the elves, he might have a payday of sorts coming soon.

Neil, in the words of Jesse Ventura in Predator, "I ain't got time to bleed."

TimTom, that sounds good to me, and I think I have an idea what this unopened line of inquiry might be . . .

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Bill, I haven't forgotten Keliwyn. I'll open a separate thread for him tonight or tomorrow morning.

No problem, Tim. I'm just happy to be back.

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Bill,

real life is slowing down posting . This was the summary post I wrote for Kenan and Emerion. You might want to check it just to jog your memory of the state of the city.

http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/community/gaming/playByPost/therealTho ms&page=59

I reviewed the old posts. Keliwyn didn't show for Darthen's dinner which turned into the capture of Trinia Sabor, alledged assassin. So we begin on that evening.

It's certainly clear by now that I'm very familiar with how life can slow down pbp fun, so don't worry about me. I'm more than happy to take what I can get.

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Sorry, all. Work and other factors combining to slow posting. Expect no more than 1 a day from me this week.

Take your time, TT. I fully intend to do the same when my baby's born in May.

Cheers

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

A baby? Congratulations, you sly old dog. Memory says you've got one or two already. How many will this be? Do you know the gender yet or waiting for a surprise?

One son, Archie, and one boy or girl to come. The second and last one if all goes well. But my family seem to only produce boys, which is why my mum has ordered a granddaughter. It's her last chance.

Cheers

My wife knows one family where all 10 grandchildren are boys..sometimes it just happens that way

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

OK - serious question: Given the number of guards, do we have a prayer of a chance of getting Trinia out of there? If there's a chance, I want to go for it, but I can see it all going pair shaped on us and me creating a new character in short order. I'd like to see a tactical map of the of the square even if it is just a sketch ...

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

OK, academic question ...

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

Guys, I know I've been a little slow lately. But, I have really been enjoying the character interactions and what you're doing with the whole Blackjack scene.

Out of the Night
when the moon it is bright
Comes the Hero known as Blackjack.

This bold Renegade
carves a B with his blade
a B that stands for Blackjack

Blackjack..
the hero cunning and free
Blackjack..
who carves the sign off the B

Ahh..Heather is quite happy to in be Zor..err Blackjacks supporting cast this time around

This is the only scene from the AP that I remember reading. It really stood out. Good stuff and I am happy with slow, life is a touch hectic and I enjoy the way that these guys play.

Plus just so everyone knows all though I threatened violence, Kenan is a good guy and would never side with the Gray Maidens. But can we take 70 of them?

Had no one answered that time then he would probably have faded back a bit. Still need to give him more info on what the hell is going on with the big picture. Then the hook will be set for good.

Cheers

Just a few random thoughts, oh and TT I owe you one for the other game.

Osirion (Male Human Expert 3/Cleric 3)

Jeorik did promise his uncle he would stay out of trouble and would appreciate it if his companions were a little less flashy in their aid. :)

(This IS the internet you know ... Alegedly human Expert (IT) 5/Ninja 3/Witch 7)

Dash it all, where's your spirit gone you two? We don't have to fight the Grey Maidens, just slow them down ...

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

...without anyone realizing we're slowing them down. ;-)

That's why Istas is using the crowd as cover for her spells. Anything more overt and she's not going to get involved, because it could reflect very negatively on the Pharasmen.

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

You don't think the dagger could be a clue?

What the holy weapon of Pharasma? Nah, must be a goodly number of other deities that have that one.

(RPG Superstar 2009, Contributor)

It's a floating weapon of force that glows like a dagger. Daggers are pretty common weapons. There's nothing on it that blazes "Pharasma's spiritual weapon" to anyone. I usually go with the theory that most campaign civilizations don't know all the nuances and identifiers of every spell, divine or arcane, anyway. Tim's welcome to view it differently, of course. But I'd also imagine there are plenty of other spells that can duplicate this effect, including illusions as well as arcane spells that summon weapons.

So, I'm not that worried about it...yet. :-)

(Expert 3/Slacker 4/Layabout 2)

You can bet someone is going to being asking questions about that web and the dagger. And that they'll be looking at arcane and divine sources. I'd be grateful to anyone who can chip in with names of other deities with dagger as a holy weapon.
