Some of this may be common knowledge for my traveled elf...
Is there a contact you wish me to use at Windsong Abbey?
Not specifically, no. Use your best judgement.
AinvarG wrote:
What sort of place is the Abbey - anything I should aware of?
The Abbey is a multi-faith organization that claims it is intended to help the various religions of Golarion understand one another better. it also claims to eschew moral or ethical bias, and that all relgions, regardless of creed, are welcome within it.
AinvarG wrote:
What sort of holy site is near the Abbey?
Other than the abbey itself, we don't know of any.
AinvarG wrote:
Where is the Abbey located - mountains, etc.?
It is on the coast of the Varisian gulf, a few miles south of the southern tip of the Fogscar Mountains.
AinvarG wrote:
When we say the site is near the Abbey, are we talking miles or yards?
Miles, I should think. A day's travel, perhaps?

Is there anything specific in the notes that we might use?
Nothing that seems relevant at the moment. Depending on what you find at the Abbey, though, it's possible some hidden relevance might become more clear.

DM Shisumo:
Spoiler:
"I should like to look at the notes, if that is not too much trouble, captain. Beyond that, I can think of nothing else at this time. I'm sure I will think of things I have overlooked as I travel. Do you know of a caravan headed in that general direction I might conceal myself within?"
We can certainly hand-wave his review of the notes so you can reveal pertinent information as it becomes pertinent, if you prefer. Are we going to assume that the intervening three-week period has been in getting Lamsfel to the Abbey and he's already there or near to it?
"Oh, one more thing that might be useful. Are you aware of any of our brethren operating in the region that I should be aware of? I don't want to run afoul of another Pathfinder's research nor do I want them to spoil mine."
Sorry for the delay , I had difficulty finding a concept suiting me
But finally here he is .
not totally finished but it should allow us to proceed .
I feel better - my dot fell off these threads and I hadn't checked for a few days, I was afraid I'd left you hanging.
DM S, are we going to assume that Hilrune and Lamsfel are brought together before the Venture-Captain, or were a team previously, or what is your thought? I'm fine with Lamsfel being an "old friend" of a bard, if robin is...

Let's assume Hilrune was a part of the meeting as well. robin, go ahead and read the spoiler above and ask any questions that you might have, and we'll have you both be at Windsong Abbey together. It's just about time for you two to put in an appearance...
What about funding ?
Magnimar is far from here . I guess the best way would be to take a ship to Magnimar and see there how best to go to this abbey.
Also I'm not that knowledgeable in churches , what were the faith of the sites that were looted ?
So how many characters do we actually have at this point? One player out of gaming for RL reasons, hopefully temporarily, four others(?) still following the thread?

Three others, I think - you, robin, and Dragonborn. Hence the search for a couple more, to make sure we've got a full house. I'm really itching to get to the dungeon, but I want to make sure we actually have a functioning group when we get there...
I followed the link, but I'm not 100% on whether or not I was supposed to... Anyway, without asking you to give anything away, my spells are geared toward brain-massage, so if we're fighting nothing but undead and constructs, I'd appreciate a heads-up so I can be of some use!

Without tearing apart your sheet thoroughly (something I will try to get done tonight), Jentraxian looks good, and I will keep in mind your particular limitations. ;) One thing to keep in mind, though: laughing touch, for whatever strange, bizarre reason, isn't a mind-affecting effect, and thus undead and constructs have no particular immunity to it...
On the other hand, I would like some more background info ASAP, in particular anything related to how you got involved with the Pathfinder Society and what sorts of research or specialization Jentraxian might be interested in.

Chops/Denny checking in as a gardner turned cleric.
Well, I wasn't going to get any free beer anyway, so the switch looks good to me. Denny's also got a good start, but what I said about Jen's background goes double for Denny, since his story - though cool - doesn't mention the PFS at all. How did he hook up with the dungeon delvers extraordinaire?
Regardless, for both of you, I will try to get an intro post up in the game thread tonight, so we can get this show on the road!
I tend to build right to my character sheet on here, instead of writing up everything than post it. Last night, I got distracted by 24 in the middle of my history, so I will have it finished real soon, if not by when you read this.
I still have 50 gp to spend, but not sure on what. I was thinking about scrolls but before I did that, I wanted to know if 1) are they allowed and 2) I took the scribe scroll feat so should I try to scribe the scrolls to double the pleasure or by them at full value? Basically, 2 or 4 scrolls.

I think you'll probably be fine if you assume you scribed them, but it's obviously not my call. My suggestion would be to decide what they will be if there are two and what they will be if there are four. That way, you're ready when you get the answer.
And I noticed that your character's name became Danny in one of the trait descriptions (which I liked, by the way - nice touch).
I was tempted to go with CLW spells. I have never played a cleric so I wonder if that would be a bad choice, considering channelling energy and spontaneously changing any spell to CLW gives a cleric a lot of opportunities to heal. I am thinking Comprehend Language, Obscuring Mist, Summon Monster, and one other.

I think the CLW scrolls would really be a benefit to someone else rather than the cleric most of the time. As in, Denny could hand someone with UMD ranks or CLW on their spell list but unprepared and they would be able to do some healing they would not have access to otherwise. (Of course, that healing might be on Denny, so...) Or for a backup if Denny's used all of his healing for the day (let's hope it doesn't come to that).
But generally, I like the thought that scrolls are great for spells that you don't expect to need every day, but you hate to be caught without them when you do need them. At low enough levels, though, augmenting limited spells per day is never a bad idea.
I think your choices are fine. Nothing prevents you from making a duplicate of one of those scrolls, either.
Corath could easily cast any CLW scrolls you might make, for instance. And I have no objection whatsoever to you buying them at half price, as though you had scribed them.
