Reg: I'm not trying to be a PITA with the marshal and kessel, but I think of Keen as being a teenager. So he's supposed to be a bit rebellious and reckless. The fact that he wasn't in the middle of things during the riot was a bit surprising actually.

Actually thought he was a halfling rather than a teenager, strange considering Reg is only 16!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

still two teenages can act diff ways. Reg is trying to be a man and all grown up, Keen looks to be trying to prove he knows it all and is a kid with a big chip on his shoulder

thats how it looked to me anyhow. And if ya recall back in the day 16 was full grown, working for a living may have a wife o fixing to get one. FR still fallows that as does d&d as a whole at 16 you are grown

Hopeless: Love that mini. I've had it for some time and it's one of the favorite PC playable minis I got when I was buying WotC minis. Makes me want to play a barbarian redhead :)

As for Keen.... Whenever I'm making a decision about him I think about what my teenagers would do. I know in some societies in that era he would be an adult but he was raised as the rich son of a merchant.

hey want to point out we have dice rollers now !!

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Hey there seeker and company.

Sorry about pulling a disappearing act, This past summer was pretty crazy to say the least.

I've been reading along though as of late and would love to re-enter the pbp, albeit possibly with a different character, or at least be considered as an alternate.

But hey it's up to you guys =]

For laughs I opened my Harrow deck yesterday, I never used them before, but I thought it might be fun to do a reading for Kessel.

First thing I did was lay out the nine cards and pick one. I thought I'd choose a card from the Neutral Good slot to fit Kessel's alignment but it turns out I had the positioning wrong, I took the card from the lawful neutral spot instead. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was the owl. A good fit for Kessel as he's currently a druid. I slide all the cards back into the deck give them a good shuffle and lay out the 9 cards again. What should be the first card I turn over? The owl again! Very creepy. Something else that was creepy: the bottom left card was The Tyrant. That's a properly aligned card BTW and it's supposed to have great significance. I suspect that this choice ties into the campaign very well but I'm not exactly sure how it relates to Kessel.

The next card of significance is an misaligned survivor card. Normally it means resilience or discovering something thought lost, But misaligned it generally means terrible loss! Not a good omen for Kessel!

The last card of significance was a misaligned Eclipse card. This is a good result for Kessel as normally the card represents self doubt or loss of faith, but misaligned it would suggest sudden clarity or insight.

Anyways here are my cards and their lay out:

Mori that's up to the players if they don't mind I don't. But it is there game as much as mine so they have a say so as well

(Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2)

And the post goes to the wrong thread... of course!

I don't mind him coming back.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok guys here is the issue we have. Hopeless is still offline so I am NPCing Reg. Now what I recall and the feel I gain from reg is he is trying to start over, bury his past and move on from his life of crime in the underworld.

What we have here is a crime boss wanting you to fight for his amusement and I am really not sure if Reg would volunteer to fight for an underworld bosses amusement.

Whats the thoughts on this of the ones who have seen how Reg acts?

(Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2)

Heck at this point all we need is a really high initiative then. Grab one in your pouch and knock one off. You win.

Taldor (Male hu-man Paladin)

well the idea of fighting for the amusement of a crime boss isn't very appealing but the consequences of not stepping up would be far greater IMO. Supposing Bean, Keen, or Kessel attempt the fight and the goon get's a lucky shot in: a 1d4+str critical is not as serious to someone with (10+Con) + (1d8+con) as it might be to Keen or Kessel (Kessel doesn't have a Con bonus).

Also, supposing we can't get this information out of the spider dude, a lot of people could sufferer as a result. Refusing to play along would mean that we'd need to resort to violence anyways to get the information we need. The party is currently split up and greatly outnumbered. Angering the spider king could kill the entire party.

Finally, as Kessel has pointed out, there doesn't need to be any bloodshed. This battle needn't be any more innocuous then any other sport or game in the city. There is risk to be sure, your opponent can choose to make it bloody, but the game itself needn't be.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

myself I am still leaning toward he would not volunteer. When it comes down to it this is a role playing choice and one that I am guessing reg would not step up and volunteer for it.

when he gets back if I am wrong, well I'll be wrong.Bur for now Reg will not step forward and play this mans blood game for his amusement

(Male Aasimar Cloistered Cleric 2)

Please note that Bean is on the short shift of HD too, with only a d6 for hit dice (plenty of other stuff to go with that so I don't mind... just saying).

I'll go for it then... this should be fun!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Bad news guys, my windows corrupted all my files, I lost all the game info, my maps, and everything. I am pissed off as I lost years of family pics I had on the harddrive that I had not back up like a fool. Anyhow give me a few days to rebuild, again sorry

Taldor (Male hu-man Paladin)

Sorry to hear that Seeker. Take as much time as you need. There's nothing worse then loosing all that work. I lost a good 300 pages of stuff when my hard drive dies about 6 years ago. That was awful. I can sympathize with what you're going through.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok guys I am ready enough to move a bit. I also have info on housing inside the city based on districts if ya would like

Who all is still here?

i'm still here, waiting on the go ahead to create a character if you're at a point you can put it in

(Female Gnome Paladin 5)

Still here

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

ok we seem to have 2 players , maybe 3 who all is still here?

(Female Gnome Paladin 5)

Well I'm still here.

Taldor (Male hu-man Paladin)

I may or may not be

I'm here for you if you need me. ::BigSmile::

(Yes Mostly Human Geek 12/ Mountain Biker 8)

Sorry, I've been distracted a lot lately. I'm mostly in.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Well thats one here, and 2 maybe's. Should we call this one done?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok, guy's I guess we will call this one done. I would like to thank those who stuck around, but sometimes ya need to know when to fold and walk from the table

It was nice gaming with you all.

If you start another please let me know. I am so enjoying the Savage Tide game.

Let me know as well
