So, just so I can assess the character's enviroment, and how he would be behave.
*How does Sanobe, The Empire of Roadan, or the Kingdom of Patriarchs act in regards to non-humans - elves, dwarves, etc? In Lant's case, does being a half-elf make him common, uncommon, or freak-of-nature, for example? I know most of the party is human, so how does that impact interaction?
*Is Sanobe more of a frontier (i.e semi-lawless) city based on it's standing between the mountains and the capital? Or is it more a lawful bastion of order for the Empire?
*How does Roadan and the Patriarchs view each other? Peaceful and friendly; tense peace along the border; verge of war; or at war.
Is there some distinct trademark that differentiates the two - alignment, history, religion, etc.?
*Is Sanobe in a colder, warmer, or temperate climate? Any environmental factors that would be notable - weather, terrain, features?
I'm sure something else will come to mind. Hope this isn't too much to ask - I can certainly wing it and let you reveal more to us.
I'm just trying to get a feel for things.
If I remember correctly, "Sanobe" as it is now called is a medium sized city. Part of a small kingdom. So yes, there is law to the city. Relayer can tell you a lot more. It has been a while since I last looked. ^_^; We used to have a map, but the cat ate it.
The Empire of Roadam is a pretty tolerant place. The majority of the population is human (85%). The remaining 15% is made up of a pretty even mix of Elves, Dwarves, Halflings, Gnomes, Half Elves and Half Orcs. There are Dwarven enclaves to the north in the mountains. To the NW and SW are a couple of enclaves of Elves. Socially, they are pretty equal here.
The Kingdom of the Patriarchs is a Theocracy that lies to the east and se of the empire. Trade flows pretty freely between the two countries and has for many years (approx 50). Neither country has been too interested in attacking the other as both know it would be a little too much to chew.
The KotP is a little less tolerant of non-humans, but they do exist there and are allowed to roam freely.
The city of Sanobe is located in a high desert area of Roadam on the Sanobe river which flows from the mountains NW of the city The mountains begin just to the north of town. Mining Town lies about 40 miles to the north, in a small river valley.
The citizenry is fairly law-abiding since the government has troops stationed here. But there is an under-current of crime and black-market activity in the town.
I will try to get a map of the local area shortly.
How do they feel about non-aligned thieves?
If it's frowned upon, then I'll make inquiries with the Green guild at some point in the adventure - see what their requirements/expectations are.
Hi everyone. Durion the conjurer here. I'm afraid I don't have a deity yet, but I didn't want to get left too far behind, so I thought I'd drop by and say hi.
To the DM: Do I need a deity chosen and have you approve it before I join in game, or can I hop in and try to fill you in on the deity after I find a resource and read up on them (are they in the core rules? I did a quick flip through but could not find them). I'm not sure Durion would be deeply devout to a deity (unless it's a deity of magic or something comparable).

Hop in. A diety is not required (Other than a cleric). I just wanted to keep track if you had one. The Pathfinder core rules has a bit on dieties in the Cleric definition area.
Question for the party. Would you prefer me to continue putting the responses to checks, etc. in as spoilers or would you rather that I just respond to the group, only putting a spoiler answer if the question was sent to me as a spoiler? I'll use whichever you prefer.
The more I think about it, the requests that come to me publically, I will answer publically. If you send it as a spoiler, I will answer as a spoiler. I'll take any comments.
Alex: What kind of problem are you having with the map? Can you get to the web page? You should be able to click first on Maps then on Haunted House. That is the only map I currently have on the page.

I can get to the web page, and when I select the haunted house, it just sits there and doesn't respond. Don't know why. I'm going to check from another computer - so it may just be a glitch from my PC. No worries yet, I'll trust my teammates to point me in the right direction for now. :-)

That sounds like a good plan. I hope I didn't push you into that with my spoilerized inquiries. I'm good either way, just trying to build a little mystery. You're doing alright by me. ;-)
I got the partial list of merchants and establishments for Sanobe on the site. Also, if no one minds I am going to make a list of the players on the NPC manifest. >_> It is very hard to keep you lot straight. This was actually Relayer's idea, but of the two of us I am the only one with web design skills. I so need to get the "No, I will not fix your computer" tee-shirt.

Nice work on that! Looks detailed. By the way, last I checked, Durion wasn't on the list. That was a few days ago.
That's fine. Feel free to roll my initiative for me. I'm glad I'm finally on your radar, Wulfie :). Durion still has no deity. He is searching, and may be converted yet...someday (read, I haven't had a chance to look at that list yet even its location in the book was pointed out to me).

That is fine, I don't think I will really need it, except for possibly the cleric and the Paladin, it is just another statistic I keep track of.
Okay, I have to ask. If there was a pm option, I would have sent a pm rather than make a post like this, but, you know...
No disrespect meant, or anything, but what's the deal with one poster only posting about cleaning or tidying up? I don't understand the posts, and can't see that it is adding anything to what the rest of the party are trying to achieve.
Am I missing something? I just tend to find those types of posts as a bit annoying. Maybe its me, and I should bow out of the adventure...
Sorry, I will cut the psychosis back a bit. Point is, the character really has nothing to add at the moment and thanks to pathfinder making cantrips unlimited she can cast Presidigitation as many times as she wants.
Hi folks...my apologies for the absence...I had to work 3 days straight on a project and promptly got myself a case of the flu which put me under for 2 more days. I'll try to pickup the thread and go from there.

On Easter weekend, I was informed that my brother's business was being audited by the IRS. Since then, I have been working with him to get all his financial reports ready for today.
I apologize for my absence; I've barely had time to sleep much less even check the boards. Now that it has been taken care of, I hope to review and get back into the game this evening. That is assuming I am still welcome.
