Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

yep it's not the AC, it's the near invisibility that makes hitting hard.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

Oh...that I didn't realise!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

yep, it's AC is not all that great but it's almost imposable to tell it from the water/ derbies. So you guys are stabbing blindly..and it's dark with little light to boot.

Like I said I could have been more clear, sorry bout that

Snem's shining like a torch, you think of that?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

yep, but still it's little light and even full daylight would not make it easier to hit as it's effectively invisible...being clear colored and all

I was guessing there would have been some watch lamps on the ship somewhere but still little light in the storm and rain all in all. Not that it matters much game wise

Qadira (male human 8th level quality engineer / 4th level auditor)

And I'm pretty much out of auto-hit attack spells ...

I asked some questions in the game thread that are probably better asked here:

I amm not sure what rules I am under:
1) I think it is a move related check to stay swimming each round, leaving me a Standard to make an attack.

2) Do I also suffer from the half damage from slashing damage for being under water? My guess would be yes?

3) Ardanto ducks his head under water? Does being totally submerged reduce the miss chance as you can see where the creature is, although in darkness?

4) I am making the assumption I can tread water with my legs and attack two handed, if not the damage needs to be reduced by 2.

you probably should roll a str-check too, if you hit, to resolve if your weapon is stuck.

Guard wrote:

Good point, but miss chances hate me, so I am not going to tempt fate.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

So, seeker, when are you going to start up a Kingmaker game for me to play in? ;-)

(Just kidding. I really appreciate the effort you've made in keeping your games going for so long! I salute you!)

Finn wrote:

+1

It's nice to have a game that doesn't die after a month.

Well Played old chap.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

While kingmaker really interests me I am not sure when I'll be able to pick it up. And I am running three games so for the time being I don't think I'll be adding another :P

I'll add my voice to that, this is the first thread I check every time I boot my computer up. Your time and hard work is very much appreciated here.

Sounds like your job is getting in the way. You better get rid of it. If I were you, I'd start heavily investing in lottery tickets, ASAP.

:-)

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Other way really :] lack of funds and not sure I can juggle more then 3 games.

But really hanks guys for sticking with it this long.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok guys as I am rebuilding the ships crew list, does anyhow recall if we had 13 crew {standard} or 18 {optimal}

It may have been 13, as ya got the group and 4 passengers. Anyone recall?

From an earlier post:

"So there are 17 crew, 6 guests and 6 in the party = 29 beds
The Lord and his men are in the hold at the moment = 26
So we need to put 3 more beds in the Captains room to make up the short fall."

So we went for 17 crew at the start of the voyage.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Thank ya much, you are a god among men...but not printers if I recall

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Sea wyvern crew

Amella : Firstmate
Tavey Nesk: cabin boy
Avos: Human male, missing an ear; cheats at dice
Selios: ex-Breland Navy
Jagred: shifter storyteller
Ben Dagwood: good gambler; changeling?
Velous Coust: Older human, speaks with an karrnth accent chief gunner
Mouse :Human female, ballista crew
Vash: Half orc male, ballista crew
Ziathtan: Elf male
Denas: Human, speaks with a cyrain accent
Morpere: Orc: ship cook
Arainn: Elven female, full body tattoos of a death motif
Dyndan : Human female, tends to be fairly entertaining to most of the crew
Thomas: ship's surgeon
Kiyat : Half elf male
Dorn: Dwarf male, likes to dice

this does not count passengers

The two dead are
Blaemvor: Human male: Played the lute
Janos: Human male

that leaves you with a working crew of 15+ the group

Thoven is welcome to the gloves as well. If Toxim has them, he'll feel obligated to get into melee more and I'm going for more of a ranged character. So I will leave it to you.

Okay then!

Still a bit confused. Are you keeping them or will I get them?

Own up! Who shaved Avner's head while he was asleep?

Dax Thura wrote:

Haha thoven shall keep them since you want to focus on ranged

A quick question, are we sailing on our own or are we keeping Lavina's ship, the Blue Nixie (?) in sight?

I know I set off to beat them to the next stop, but now I am beginning to think we should of stayed in convoy.

I had assumed they were fairly close to each other, but frankly I haven't been paying much attention to the details of sailing. :-)

I believe that we should keep them relatively close. Though there's no reason that we can't be the lead ship in the convoy.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

Q: Why does the Blue Nixie sail faster than the Sea Wyvern?

A: Because the Jade Ravens blow.

Haw haw!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

The nixie is distant but in range most days , although ya do loose site of her from time to time, like in the storm. You just do not always stay close enough to link up and such, sailing being a bit diff then modern boating in speeds and control of pacing.

So theoretically we could anchor up each night in fairly close proximity, say a short walk away..... looking at Guard and borrowing his ring.....

That joke was soooo bad it was actually brilliant Finn.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

as for who shaved avners head it was brought up in the game thread :)

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

Brilliant I missed it in the page turn, Toxim you are a bad man. Poor Avner.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

heh, you guys are highly entertaining to me. And finn that was a bad joke lol

What ring?

I wear sandals. I won't let you borrow those!

I'll blame it on RP and Ardanto not knowing anything about Magic, not on me being stupid.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

good save

Poor Ardanto has gone all bashful. Bless him.

Quick question seeker: How far is the repair of Guards body when we get to the jungle Urol wants to explore?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

it's about 8 days out or so after Ardanto comes back

Qadira (male human 8th level quality engineer / 4th level auditor)

Guard wrote:

Don't forget that Daurros can cast repair light damage and can fix him completely.

When he is not sulking :-)

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

umm yeah sulking he could be doing that, alone in his room ..with the door locked

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

Yeah... I won't disturb him, if he's doing that...

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

aww isn't guard curious?

I am sharing a room with him, god I hope he isn't doing that, especially when we have a perfectly serviceable bike on board. "Dyndan, come and give Daurros a hand, literally....."

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

she does find him cute and she might have some interesting ideals for those 0th level spells

Prestidigitation!

mage hand...... it has digits right?

Toxim can also cast Repair Light Damage for Guard and he will be generally more approachable than Daurros during this time. In fact Guard is the only reason that I took the spell.
Being the self centered lout that I am, since I didn't take damage I assumed everyone else was ok too. Starting the day after the ooze attack, Toxim will memorize 1 RLD and offer to use it on Guard each day until he is fully repaired.
