I only count 9 beds, so we will need to replace some of them with hammocks if we are taking such a big crew.

Some of those are double or triple bunks. There's enough beds.

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

Finn will share a bunk with Lavinia, if need be. His willpower is beyond compare, and you can rest assured that he wouldn't take any liberties. ;-)

If she wasn't on the other ship she would have the captains room of course.

She couldn't share with Ardanto, her will power wouldn't be enough, after all she is only human. :-)

LOL, so funny. Sorry with the holidays I am getting behind will try and get the game moving tonight

Oh. Are there any good-looking female passengers that Finn can demonstrate his willpower with?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

I'll have npc pics when I update, as well as a brief description of each

But there will be at lest two women on board yes.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

No really I am not that was what the book said it was in, was bound to be a druid in the seekers.

also dax

Spoiler:

If your still interested in a game I am starting a Lof game if ya want in , as ya asked

** spoiler omitted **

I am absolutely interested!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok guys I will get this updated tonight. Thanksgiving got me of track, but gods above the food was good

Anyhow some of ya may know I had a game to fold recently , part was because my lost data, but the big issue was lack of posting and the group just would not get along(unlike this game]

So anyhow I am starting a LoF game. I gave 2 spots to the only 2 folks that posted from the now dead game, another to dax and maybe a 4th to someone else. That leaves me with 2 spots max(3 if the other passes) and I thought I would ask here, as I know you guys can both make pc's that mesh and do not work agist each other and most you you( hits mori with a fish) post more then I do. That and your all damned fine players

So if anyone has any interest in that let me know

And dax

(Male Human Technician 8)

As I said in the chatroom, I'd be interested, but I don't think my current work schedule allows for another game.

Let's see how that works out after New Year.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

I plan to start it in the next week or so, all in how it goes around here, but ya got a spot if ya want it

Qadira (male human 8th level quality engineer / 4th level auditor)

Seeker, I would (I love your games), but I actually just joined a LoF game as a replacement player. If you ever do another CoCT, though, keep me in mind ...

What is LoF?

(Male Human Technician 8)

Legacy of Fire. The (more or less) arabic Adventure Path.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

sorry guys my sister-in law had her baby this morning , so I have spent most of last night and this today on the other side of the state. Sign, will update soon

I accept your apology for your sister-in-law's baby. ;-)

Congratulations!

What's the little toddler going to take as first class level?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

I think trouble makerer. It was emergency c-section the baby was 7 months, but he is doing fine. It did make use drive 140 or so miles in the wee hours of the night, and stay up there bounced from room to room for more then 10 hours, then the more then 3 hour drive back

Heh, just left me to tired to try and post up

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok guys got a basic update up( at last)

Seeker, you didn't respond to my inquiry about investing in the colony. I only have about 2500GP, but I'd make the offer to Lavinia. If not, there are couple of magic items I would have liked to have purchased instead.

Ardanto, you didn't respond to my inquiry about being an officer on the ship. If you already full staffed, that's ok, I'll be there if you need me. I'd even offer to take a watch every few days too.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

eh sorry missed it. Of coarse you can invest in supply's for the colony. You may not see a return for some time, but how much you gain back would depend on how well it does

Noted on my char sheet. Thanks.

Also, does someone on the Blue Nixie have the spell Message? If so, I'd like to make use of it to help stay in communication. It's relatively short range, but would still be a help in making plans.

Seeker:
Please look over the following Soulmelds, that Guard would have shaped most of the travel on sea:

Cerulean Sandals (instead of Mantle of Flame):

Spoiler:

Descriptors: None
Classes: Incarnate, soulborn
Chakra: Feet
Saving Throw: None

Incarnum forms into a pair of sandals that surround your feet and any other footwear you might have on. The sandals resemble blue crystal ice, but just beneath the surface, they seem to flow like water.

To shape cerulean sandals, you draw on soul energy with ties to the Astral Plane, channeling qualities of weightlessness to enhance your movement abilities.
Your cerulean sandals allow you to walk on water (as if under the effect of a water walk spell).
Essentia: You can invest essentia to increase your base speed with cerulean sandals. Every point of essentia invested in this soulmeld grants an enhancement bonus of +5 feet to your base land speed. This bonus applies only to land speed and does not improve any other forms of movement, such as climb or fly speeds.

Sailor's Bracers (instead of Incarnate Weapon):

Spoiler:

Descriptors: None
Classes: Incarnate, soulborn
Chakra: Arms
Saving Throw: None

Incarnum forms a pair of leather bands surrounding your wrists (and any other bracers or bracelets you might wear). When you are still and your eyes are closed, you feel a gentle rocking as if you were aboard a ship on a calm sea.

You call upon the talents of generations of seafaring men and women to increase your proficiency at the work of sailing.
Shaping sailor’s bracers makes the sea your home.
While you wear your sailor’s bracers, you gain a +4 insight bonus on Swim, Profession (sailor), and Use Rope checks.
This soulmeld also lets you make Profession (sailor) checks untrained.
Essentia: Every point of essentia you invest in your sailor’s bracers increases the insight bonus by 2.

If you seek Ardanto out again you can pin him down for an answer, he did blatantly ignore the first comment, going so far as to change he subject. Once the voyage is under way and he learns that you do know how to sail and have a way with the crew (ranks in sailing and diplomacy) he does change his opinion. He asks if you would be interested in taking the night helm as he would very much like some one he trusts keeping an eye on the ship during twilight.

No I wouldn't have asked again. However, as stated, I will help. If you approach me, though, I'd still be willing.

Does anyone know if Avner is important to the story? Because I might jump onto the dock and run him through if he insults my hat again.

In the interest of keeping it to no spoilers, I will say this could be very interesting (and fun!)

Er...his family is funding the expedition, aren't they?

A good part of it yes. No one family in the city could fund such an expedition without big risk of going bankrupt. His family was the only one that thought the risk was worth the payout long term

So yeah without them the expedition would not happen. His coming along was a condition of said deal. Some of you may know this, toxim might as he spent time with her as she was planning it, so may have overheard such details

It's nice to see your making fast friends with him to, warms my heart :)

Looks like he's the guy we're gonna love to hate.

Who are we talking about again: Ardanto or Avner?

Why do we have to choose just one?

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

He can catch the other boat, because if he steps foot on this one Ardanto will throw the pompous fool over board.

Every one loves Ardanto, after all your only mortal.

You do realize the other boat sailed near 2 hours past right?

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

I must of missed that post, that settles it, he can swim.

I have edited my last post to remove the reference to him catching Lavinia's boat.

Does the ship have a brig? If not, how about a place that could serve as such?

The ship would have a room that serves as a brig, but as he has a horse, 2 man servants and 15 bits of luggage I suggest we put him in the hold, or his corpse, which ever takes up less space.

(Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9)

My suggestion would be one of the two storage rooms at the aft of the ship on the bottom level. Could probably move some of the cargo out and convert it to a brig. Although putting Avner there right off the bat may not be the best thing to do. I think the primary task for most of us should be to keep Avner and Ardanto apart.

I suggested in the main thread that we catch up to Lavinia and try and swap passengers. Did the Jade Ravens come on Lavinia's ship? I'm sure Liamae wouldn't mind sharing the captain's quarters ... ;-)

(Male Half-elf Monk 4/Sorcerer 1)

If Finn thinks that Ardanto is actually going to be guilty of barratry, there might be some problems. But confining a passenger to quarters is certainly within the rights of a ship's captain, I think.

That was one of a zillion words I had to look up when I was reading Dante's "Inferno".

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Ok some stuff on the see wyvern As you can see here
the ship has 4 total decks. The top deck, {for and oft castles} the main deck[where the 2 boats are] the 1st deck{ main living area} and the cargo deck

You ballista will take place of one of the boats{it then moving to the rear of the ship} or it can sit forward of the front sail

The ship also has a crew of 18{counting ardanto and his first mate} also there is a cabin boy{Tavey nesk } I forgot
Now if you look the forward cabins has 5 beds, each sleeping 3 per bed
the small cabin normally is the room of the first mate/navigator and it's bunk sleeps 2. The send room has beds ment for 2 per bunk making 4 total

so in beds the ship can sleep 21+ ardanto's bunk

ya have a crew of 15+ ardanto and the first mate. which fill up the first cabin+ ardanto' ya got 6 passengers+ the group...some folks{ prob crew} are gonna have to share beds or sleep in hammocks.

The ship will sleep up to 40, but thats a lot of hammocks strung about of a night
