Cool, I was just wondering if you'd get a chance to post.

Thx Moth.
Still crazy at work, but I'm TRYing to get it finished, really I am!
Ah, thx, I completely missed the alignment part! ;)

IS the background satisfactory? I can concentrate on the crunch if the fluff to to your satisfaction. (I tried to give you plenty to work with. Including a ready-made villain if you want it! My old DM/buddy loved stuff like that.) All in all I don't think it's too bad for making it up at 1am. ;P

Making Items: Unless your crazy with the bonus RP XP, I'll probably take you up on the pay GP for XP option. (Presuming that I take any creation feats!) SO I can keep up with the others lvl-wise. Thx.

MArk: Wow, And I thought MY schedule stunk! Safe trip! :)

Maybe today,... I will finish,...

Yeah, maybe. :S

Heh, heh, heh. At this rate the Game will fill up before I've even had a chance to finish writing the Campaign Setting. ;)

Huh?

Hmmm...

lol, sorry to Threadjack your Discussion Thread Moth.

The Harpy Character I made for Pat's Silver Rose game went through a redesign for play and given her status as a more refined Harpy I had to then create a world for her to come from. Rather than just thinking up a name, I actually went ahead and created an entire new World and Setting, including Races and Classes. I have the Races written and am halfway through a Weapons and Equipment Folio. I have the actual Setting plotted out in my head, it's just a matter of puttin fingers to keyboard and fleshing it out. Pat & Lynora convinced me to use it for a PbP and wanted spots when I did so. As long as people are happy with the slow steady style of PbP, then I will start it sometime in the next month or two, e-mailing the Setting Info out to everyone so they know what the hell is going on.
When I am about to start it, I was going to offer the remaining spots to Z-Day members first and see if I could fill it before opening it up for anyone to join. So you're welcome to a spot if you want one!
=D

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Sounds interesting Flash. I'll have to see how I'm going time wise, but it'd be cool if you saved me a spot.

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Alrighty, how are Ragadolf and Patrick going with finishing off your characters? Be great if you could get your skills, spells and feats and such finalised ASAP ... you might just need them soon ...

Also, can any spell-casters who prepare spells, or get their enslaved genies to fetch them ;-) note on their character sheets what spells they currently have prepared.

Background looks great, plenty I can work with should the need arise! One thing,

Spoiler:
for things to work best timeline-wise, it would probably make sense that your character is somewhere between 20 and 25 years old - does that work for you? Also, it probably doesn't matter much either way (and your character may not even know), but do you picture your mother as a Mwangi (wild) elf or a northern (high) elf? I took some liberty to assume she was an arcanist of some sort...

I still have to pick a feat and another trait, but I'm almost done now. I am thinking I will switch my 1 point from Bluff to Use Magic Device (and maybe move another couple of points over there too) since I am envisioning this guy as a sort of 1001 nights version of an Artificer,...

Haven't decided whether to take the skill points or HP for 1st lvl preferred class, I need the HP! but still,...
(decisions, Decisions,...)

Regarding the spoiler,...

Spoiler:

That's fine, I f I remember right, 20-25 for a half-elf would be about 16 or so for a human, and that works.
Yes, I also presumed she was an arcanist, though I hadn't actually gotten around to determining more than that yet. ;P

This is the fun of being a lazy background maker, it gives your DM room to play with, and you get to discover it! :)

(F Human (Keleshite) Cleric 1)

OK, I think I have covered all the errata. Farasha is up!

Still working on it! (Sorry)
SO much for getting Spring Break off! (The school is closed, but I'm loading in an Opera!)

Hope all had a Happy Easter!

Oh ? which one ?

Qadira (DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE)

post for dot ..carry on ..

I run the Auditorium at University of Louisiana in Lafayette. We are loading in the opera 'Marriage of Figaro'.

Which normally wouldn't be THAT big of a deal. But for the first time in years they've convinced the ASO (Local Symphony) to play from the pit (LIke they're supposed to!) SO they actually have room on stage for a REAL set this year. And it's a doozy!

I mean, seriously, I've lived in apartments, and even houses, that don't have as much lumber in them as this set does! ;)

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

sorry guys been sick, sigh again...so many long posts to read will try to catch up soon

I do so enjoy my games but when I have to miss posting for a day or so it's a damned lot of reading :)

Sounds pretty cool. So what does running the auditorium involve? Sounds fairly important.

Good but busy. I need a holiday after that four day "break".

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

enough that I'll have a post up by days end

Qadira (DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE)

Guh, apologies for my absences. I have a lot of yardwork and a lot of housework and a lot of workwork.. I will try to update soon..

Mothman wrote:

Heh. It CAN be cool, and it is pretty important. (Not important enough for them to actually PAY me what I'm worth apparently, ;P)

I basically do 3 peoples jobs. I'm the office person, (Coordinating events and schedules) the Tech Director (Setting up the stage and keeping the equipment running) and the building manager, (which includes keeping track of when all the classrooms are used and the safety inspections) And then I'm teh Stage Manager, running the shows when they in, the Dances, Opera, recitals, etc. (Oh, wait, that's FOUR jobs! I'm even more underpaid than I realized!)

Which wouldn't be so bad if they PAID me three people's salaries! Heck, I'm not greedy, I'll settle for 2 people's salaries!

;)

Sorry for the delay,
Been busy lately, hopefully will get everybody lvl up'd/ finished this weekend. (Yeah, wish me luck on that?!)

How is everyone going with the game so far? Enjoying it? Not?

I know there were various people busy and sick and such earlier, how is everyone going as far as that goes? I’ve noticed that most of the posting in the last week or two seems to be from the same two players, is everyone else still around, getting time to post, enjoying the game? I’d encourage everyone to join in at this stage (or if this part is not something your character has much interest in, just let me know that you’re still around as a player).

I don’t mean to push anything, but my experience is with these play by post games that if people aren’t enthusiastic about the game at the beginning, or don’t have much time to post over a period of a few weeks, that situation often doesn’t improve. If there is anything I can do to get people into the game more, I’d like to know … or if people are not going to be able to post as much as first thought, I’d like to adjust my expectations to that.

I apologize if my posting has been scanty, I misjudged how busy I would be this Spring. I do want to keep on with Farasha, but at this point I really don't have a lot of diplomatic of detective skills to bring to the fore.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

got to ask does shapshift grant low light vision? It prob does not as I can't find it, seems like it would but I don't own the book myself, I bummed it to make sefu

By the book? No, no low light vision. Seems reasonable though, maybe I could be talked into it...

It's cool, things are busier than you expect sometimes. Hope life is calming down for you a little now.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

low light would be cool, I don't have the book it just seems that some animal forms would have it is all. Your call though it does make me want to tinker with the shape shift ability just a bit.

seekerofshadowlight wrote:

Yeah, I'm cool with predator form having low light vision; but you don't get Scent or rake or trip or anything else that your particular animal form (wolf, big cat, bear or whatever) might get.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

I would not think they would, however I got thinking what about allowing them as feats?

Not just talking about this game, but with shapeshift as a whole. Seems to me they might fit in with feats.

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

I know that as you go up levels you do gain bonus feats and abilities when in beast form, but can't remember exactly what they are or when you get them.

Seeker, do you want to check the game thread and possibly roll a Survival (Track) check for Sefu?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

was getting to it, I tend to post in order of my saved folders, I'll have a post up in a few

LEVEL 4 Predator form gets Mobility

Level 5 you get aerial form
Level 7(I think) Flyby attack

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Thanks Mark. One of my players in my RL group has the PHB2, so I kind of have access to borrow it, but don't own a copy myself.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

ya I bumed it myself, forgot to copy the page info. Still may allow feats for forms in my games, have to play around in it a bit.

We tweaked a few feats for my shifty in (one of) Heathy's game(s).
I think Elgan now has Amphibious (Breath underwater, but only in aquatic form,) and a tweaked Wild Caster, (Originally 'Natural Caster'?) allowing him to cast spells while in beast form.

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

I don't mind druids being unable to cast in beast form, that to me fits. I may rework it a bit for my own home games, give them a domain as well for pathfinder games and low light. May allow other feats such as scent and rake to be taken as well.

Not sure yet just some thoughts

Happy Mother's day!

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Hey sorry guys been kinda slammed, will get a post up tonight

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Thanks for letting us know Seeker. Hope all is ok?

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

yeah it is just been busy and not had a chance to be on here much, posted in A few threads but not had a chance to post up games yet, will get it done tonight however

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Ragadolf, you still need to choose a feat, a trait, a spell and put together an equipment list!

Yes, Yes I do!
SOrry, just got slammed at work, yadda yadda,
Just realized yesterday that I hadn't mailed my payment of taxes due to the state of Lousy-anna. They were due the 15th!

I am SO hosed! :P

BUT regarding the PC, I will pick a feat and Trait right now, and copy over a list from another character by (hopefully) Tuesday. I probably won't be on tomorrow.

Happy Memorial Day all!

NIghters!

Just a note, I get busy again starting tomorrow, (Tues) (Another dance show, this one lasts almost a week!) So I will check in as often as possible, but probably only once/day and may miss a day.

Laters,...

Moth- I still owe you a starting equipment list! ;P Will try to get that on the sheet today!

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

No worries mate. Good luck with the show.

Qadira (DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE)

Not really feeling the RP vibe right now, having several RL issues. I'll try to regroup as best I can tomorrow. Patrick

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Guys, sorry about lack of posting last few days, been quite busy and when I have had time to post I couldn’t get on to Paizo. Will try to catch up today.

Qadira (DO NOT STICK FINGERS IN CAGE)

No worries I've been in the same boat ..

Osirion (male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller)

Eh RL always comes first. no worries

Mark Thomas wrote:

That sounds serious ... are you ok now?

Yep, go ahead and take your turn now if you'd like.

Andoran (Male Mothman Expert 5)

Guys, is everyone still into the game? Right at the start of all of this I asked for a post frequency of at least once every two days, about half the group seems to be posting far more infrequently than this. It is a little frustrating for me (and no doubt for the people who are posting regularly) when we have a situation like the current one, where in three weeks we’ve managed to get half way through round 2 of a combat.

Now I understand that real life often gets in the way, and I can appreciate that people have been sick and busy and whatever else. I want to figure out what the issue is. Are people just not feeling the game? Is there anything I can do to help that? Are people just busier than expected? Is this likely to be an ongoing thing?

I really don’t like rolling dice or making decisions on behalf of your characters too often; I don’t mind doing it from time to time, but when I’m running half the group in a fight, that’s a bit over the top.

Anyway, this is a game I’m still interested in running. If the general feeling is that people want to keep playing but things need to run at a slower pace, that’s fine, as long as I know that. If people want things to change in how I run the game, let me know.

If stuff comes up and you won’t be able to post for a few days, please let me know if possible (as a number of you have done) at least that way I can make an informed decision on how to handle things.

Sorry about the rant but I would really like to get things sorted out.
