Ok, sorry I started this all backwards. I'm used to multi-threading on other boards.
Any OOC questions on chargen, equipment, startups, etc can be routed here.
To set the stage, since we're on a time budget here we're probably going to skip a lot of the fluffy stuff and run a buncha crunch. With that said, is there anything you fine folks would like to see/do/play through? Any frameworks or set pieces you've been dying to play?
Is there no starting gold for the new classes, or did I miss it?

Huh, you're right!
Take max starting gold as for a Cleric. Cavaliers max starting gold as for a Paladin. My logic on this is that an Oracle equips similar to a Cleric and a Cavalier similar to a Paladin. That work?
Alright, first question: what level are we starting at? I was thinking of playing an oracle (no, I'm not a copycat, I just seem to have had the same idea as a bunch of other people).

Starting at first level, max HP max starting cash. (As we're playtesting the crunch, not the fluff, might as well minimize the starting randomness)
We're probably going to run an encounter or two at 1st, then progress to 3rd, lather rinse repeat, level to 5 or 7, LRR, 8 or 9 and then so on as time allows.
I would totally love to run a full module/adventure, but with time constraints that's a bit unrealistic.

Alright, cool. I've also changed my mind about class--it would be a bit unbalanced to have a party of four or five oracles and one cavalier.
Second question: any alignment / race restrictions?

None, though the party appears to be trending good.

Oracles wear light armor, I had guessed 3d6 like a bard. And I took average rather than max. Should I adjust that?
Cavalier definitely as paladin/fighter, though. Smart ones buy barding. ;)
Tomorrow's an open day for me, I should be available all afternoon/evening PST.

If there were pieces of gear you want/need but couldn't afford with average, just upgrade to max. I'm thinking that taking the equipment concerns out of the equation would make for a better playtest. But that's just me.

That is all good by me. You look ready to rock and roll!

With 240gp I'd have gone with masterwork studded over plain leather, losing the silver godbling. It's not a big deal to me... this isn't an optimized character, obviously. And I think that's a pretty important test: can an oracle built around a cohesive (non-ridiculous) roleplay theme rather than straight-line number crunching make a meaningful contribution? Most classes do just fine as such, so it's worth checking.

Good points, and well said. I think I'm going to start the ball rolling in the main thread now, get this show on the road.
Thanks again to everyone for joining this little experiment.

As for this recent development, well, what can I say, I love Kobolds.
*shrug* I was waiting on Lucius to take his AoO vs. the fleeing kobold. Looked like we were about done with this encounter, anyway, unless the kobolds had more tricks up their sleeves.
