(Male Human (Taldan descent) Bard 1)

Sorry no post yesterday, router problems kept me offline for the day, fixed now.

Beilin leans back feet propped up on a bench, his belly full of ale and food, a warm hearth at his back and the laughter and banter of his companions all around. It's times like this he wished he had paid better attention to the Jocyn's lessons a slowly plucked mandolin would fit the mood perfectly. Perhaps another time, until then he mumbles/hums the tune to the story of Tallman Tuk a tale of an extraordinary woodsman who's travels across the horizon always ended well.

"Hey, what time is this adventure supposed to start again?"
He says to the table in general, followed by "I wonder if it's time for cake?"

"I believe it is scheduled for high noon." Velios contemplates, wrinkling his brow. "Some cake does sound good."

Even with the mention of dessert the door to the inn pushes open with a swirl of fall wind to pass, allowing several prominent citizens to enter the tavern. Mayor Uptal leads them, though he is followed by Father Prasst, Sir Dramott, Holgast the Wizard, the dwarf Braggar and Colbin Vetnar, the guildmaster of the woodcutters guild.

Once inside, the rest of the group spread out to go find seats after walking past your table with each nodding their heads and offering a congradulations, Sir Dramott clapping them on the shoulder. The mayor moves to the far end of the tavern, stepping up on a barrel to give himself some height. He motions for your group to come and join him there, even as he dips down and catches up a tankard from Asina's tray as she walks past him.

Taking a drink and clearing his throat a bit, Mayor uptal raises his voice above the din of the crowd. "Quiet, friends, quiet. Citizens of Kassen, we are here to celebrate a joyous occasion. We drink tonight to remember our glorious founder, driving back the foes of the town, even at the cost of his own life. His sacrifice allowed our city to flourish and become the wonderful place it is today and each year we bring back a piece of the everflame that burns within his tomb to maintain within the town for the rest of the year to honor his memory."

"But there is more to celebrate today! Twice a decade, we allow the youth of our village to undertake this dangerous journey to fetch the light. When they return, they are no longer youth, but they are full citizens of the town. Look upon these brave lads, soon to be adventurers and bring forth our founders light! Congradulations my friends!"

With that last said, he nods somewhat proudly to the group before raising his mug in a toast and taking a big swig.

"Now let the ale flow and bring out some of Trelvar's famous sweets! The party begins!"

At this point, the drink will begin to flow much more heavily around the tavern and Trelvar will bring out plates of cinnamon cakes. The citizens will be going to party fairly late into the night. I'm going to start writing up the first post for the PbP thread right now which will take place at noon the next day, but if you wish to chat and get to some of the other citizens through this thread(with kind of a time lapse between the two) feel free to. I certainly enjoy the RP.

First post is up, feel free to join us here. As I said above though, it doesn't need to grind the chat and RP here to an instant halt.

(male Human Sorcerer 1 (Aberrant))

while all of festives are going on a cloked figure is obvering it all.

" I would join them but what would I beafit from this" he thought.

(Male Human . . . ish . . .)

My sincere apologies, but I'm going to have to drop this pbp. I was greatly enjoying the character and the other characters, but I'm not able to keep up at a good pace with the thread, and between work, the FLGS groups, and my family, I'm just not going to be able to commit the amount of time that will be needed to keep this going. I'm sorry all.

I appreciate you letting us know, KEJR, and your character will be missed but real life is always more important. Hopefully all the good things in your life continue to keep you busy and the less enjoyable ones slow down to give you more time.
