Apologies for my lack of posting recently. A much busier than normal week or two at work, combined with real life dramas and computer problems at home have conspired to keep me away from Paizo for the most part for the last week or so. I’m not sure when things will calm down at work (and in life) but at least the computer at home is fixed, so hopefully my posting rate will get back to something approaching normal.

No problem. Real sorry to hear about your friend and your grandfather.

Thanks mate.
Actually, I should have read your last post (or the game thread) before I posted my apology - looks like I havent missed much ;-)
Which issue of KQ is your latest work in?
James Keegan(Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5)
My dwarves were in 11, I believe, and these elves are going to be in 12 for a similar article. And I just got offered another set of three illustrations for an ecology article! When it rains, it pours.
I'll move ahead and start the party tonight, though.

James, haven't seen the elves yet (obviously), but I thought the dwarf illustrations were great. The article, as a whole, was probably my favorite part of the issue - I love takes on races that spin them in a whole new direction. (The one on gnomes in a previous issue actually made me consider trying them out - and I hate gnomes.)

Thanks, Bryan. I haven't gotten my copy just yet, but I'm excited to see it in print. Got three more KQ related things I'm working up right now coming down the pike.
I'll probably still be posting for American Thanksgiving, but just in case, I may drop off the radar here and there.

Just want to wish those here in the US a happy Thanksgiving. And everyone else, a happy Thursday! :-)

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving in America. And a great week for everyone else.
As an aside, I think I would recommend Seekers of Secrets for at least a pdf download. Ridiculous list of ioun stones (seriously; like five pages of ioun stones), three decent prestige classes and a ton of info on the Pathfinders if you decide to use them. Pretty good.
AKAA- "I ate too much, so now I'm going to sit on the sofa and moan all day" day!

Just a heads up: busy at work between now and the 23rd and I've got more illustrations to work on by the 18th. So updates may be sporadic. I'll try to keep it up, now that we've finally hit the interesting part.
James Keegan(Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5)
Update tonight, sorry.
James Keegan(Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5)
Callum, you still around? I know it's the holidays and you've got a fresh new baby. Hope everything's going well.
James Keegan(Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5)
Radavel, Callum? Still in?
James Keegan(Male(s) 27 Ducks in a James suit Duck 27/ Expert 5)
Okay. I know from the old Planescape game that Radavel drops out here and there when he has a trial and stuff so I'll DMPC Silas for a time, but I'm not sure of Callum's schedule or habits. I'll give him until after the holiday to check in before opening a slot to one of the guys on standby.

Wrapping up some illustrations, will update when I can. Love getting more freelance work, but it sucks sometimes to get home from work just to do more work.

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Looks like most of us are still occupied, so I guess I'll put a hold on things for a few more days, since DMPCing four out of six PCs is as fun as watching a sock puppet show... and by that I mean very, very fun. But I've only got two hands.
From the game, I don’t want to make things difficult for James by splitting the party, nor am I trying to get anyone to abandon the idea of heading back to get our gear – it makes a lot of sense. But I (and Malatar) figure that by the time that is done, all the guests will have been spirited away. He doesn’t feel right about abandoning them to that. He doesn’t necessarily expect anyone to join him.
He’s neither stupid nor brave enough to try to take on more than a couple of opponents on his own, but he’s planning to at least check it out – and maybe join up with the household guards if that is indeed who he can hear fighting. He’ll cut and run if he thinks it’s a choice between that and dying. I guess he’s in a somewhat better position than some in that he at least has his primary weapon and some sort of armour (though more would be nice!).
So has anyone heard from Radavel or Callum recently?
I know everyone (myself included) has been a bit flakey with the holiday season, but if we don’t hear from those two soon, we’re probably close to the point where we need to decide what to do one way or another.

Yeah, I'm going to give it a week and see what happens. After that, I'll contact the other folks that were interested.
Okay Herral's equipment is next. Do you want me to go with the basic max gold for a cleric or something more now that these guys are loaded down with wealth from their adventures since August?
Cheers
Background I'm happy to know anyone, this PC is a bit kender-ish so friendship might be a mite flighty.

Go with max gold for a cleric. It's been a slow start to the campaign without much treasure handed out; you've only missed two combat encounters and the only real treasures have been things snagged from the masquerade.
Alex: are you angling for the Lion's Blade prestige class? I can work that in if you're interested.
Surely - that would be cool. Since you kinda said that you were trying to keep it simple and straight to the PFRG, I didn't want to start adding too many new features.
I was thinking, if nothing else, he could turn into an "unoffical" Lion's Blade by name only - same class, etc. - to minimize complications.
A Lion's Blade is a prestige class that you can find in the Taldor Supplement. I would sort of describe it as an independent Taldor Agent/Spy. Not sure that Dayle will be a good fit class-wise, but I liked the idea of an agency protecting the country regardless of the government.

(IN other words, I have to take apart my little PC corner while I try to put together my new monster-desk. I HOPE to get it done tonight, but reality says it will take a couple of days. SO posts will be relegated to work hours.)
Thank you, and wish me luck!

Updates may be spotty this week, I have an illustration due Friday and some other obligations coming up. I'll keep things moving as I can.
Good luck with the furniture, Rags.
Hopefully, they didn't put just the Mandarin version of the building instructions in the box. Of course, if you know Mandarin - cheers!
Heheh, NO, No Mandarin spoken here!
(Heck, I have enough troubles with ENGLISH!) ;P
Actually got most of it together last night! Just a little bit left to go.
(Course it will probably take me the rest of the WEEK to straighten out ALL the C@#$ that was on top of my old, tiny desk, and get my new one straightened out and organized!)
I’m on holidays for a week from tomorrow through to next Saturday. I’m not sure what, if any internet access I’ll have over that time. Feel free to NPC Mal if I’m holding things up.
