Yug. I've got the dreaded 'mail everything in a monthly package' subscription option. Sometime this week I hope they unlock the PDF, I'm dying to peruse it.

Not yet; I'll go get it at the game store next week though I estimate.

I've ordered mine from Paizo themselves. For some reason the main rulebook cost $50 to post and the bestiary costs $6.
Sent out Friday so I've downloaded the pdf for fun.
Delivery hopefully in nine days from Paizo. Got me to Subscribe which can't be bad. Kingmaker may do the same for the APs. I cannot wait for that to start.
Lotsa building of critchers done this weekend. I'm getting back ahead.
I'm coming to realize that "railroading" is or can be a beneficial thing, if only because it keeps the action rolling; go off the beaten path too much and what the d.m. is pulling out of his ass is either absolute gold or total drek.
I got a few laughs out of the dimbulbs who complained about the "railroady nature" of the APs. No, boys and girls, that's called "plot". If you want free-form stuff, look up sourcebooks like The Marklands or Ivid the undying. While great, these are also hundreds of pages long...
While I sympathise with DMs hard pressed for time, the idea that they can get a product that covers each and every thing the PCs may conceivably do in the mail each month for less than $20 boggles my mind.
Yeh, I like to give folks as much freedom as possible, and it's always good to incorporate their wishes, but sometimes you gotta give them a nudge to move along. You just gotta frame it the right way. The sound of the police thudding up the stairs is a good way to get the players moving out the door for instance: They can stay, but they're going to the pokey if they do, their choice.
Using the Legacy of Fire AP has been liberating because it reduces the workload to a minimum. But I do have a very well-behaved party. I doubt you guys would be the same, especially if you were in the Marklands facing off against Iuz.
For me, those APs and my older stuff is all for ideas, and bits of a campaign. My tabletop campaign is meant to be the Temple of Elemental Evil but I've used the Age of Worms, Ravenloft and Dungeon magazine.
The next few APs may be a good way for me to stop running our games and get one or two of the others to sit behind the screen for a while.
Cheers
P.S. Wife asleep, son watching Polar Express and so I have to tell someone, my football team, Liverpool have beaten their most hated enemies, Man Utd, 2-0. I am on cloud nine.
Aubrey the Malformed(No peeking, please Rarely Accountant 2/Auditor 4/Waster 30)
Damn you!
Actually, I guess I'm a Liverpool supporter by default (my dad is from Liverpool) and I really dislike that Fergusson guy. How the Queen ever let Prince Andrew marry his daughter, I'll never know. So "Hooray Liverpool!"
Heathy - what on earth (or beyond) was that creepy Shugoran critter? I've never seen anything like it.
Oh, and Alex Ferguson is the Antichrist (for you Americans out there, Sir Alex is the UK version of Bill Belicheck, only whinier and less charming). I don't keep close tabs on the beautiful game anymore (I used to root for Everton back in the 1980s), but it always cheers me up when the Red Devils lose.
Heathansson(Manwolf Werewoof upper middle class twit 5)
Cool....."Shugoran" is an avatar of Nyarlathotep; also has a crew of "spawnlings" like the guy you fought; He's in Malleus Monstorum, as well as an earlier Chaosium monster book I had 15 years ago.
I just dirty statted him; I figured you'd all like a little diversion, but everybody was low on spells, so nothing too CR-intensive.
Those new sorcerer bloodlines add a lot of options to that sort of creatures as well.
Heathansson(Manwolf Werewoof upper middle class twit 5)
Yeah; I think those bloodlines really convinced me to do more sorcerous n.p.c's like the (late) Xever.....
Tatcher, a dropped name from Pett's adventure the weavers;....he had to be a wizard to do all the summoning.
All I can say is wow though....those new bloodlines and school and domain powers are wild.
Just so everyone knows, I'm running three days of games at my house starting tomorrow, so my ability to post will be pretty cut down. Then its a weeks holiday doing DIY and the like but that shouldn't slow me down too much.
Apologies but I'll try to keep tabs on the game.
Cheers

I'm on call Fri, Sat, and Sunday; so it might be choppy going for me this weekend.
Oh, and then there's Halloween, if I'm allowed it.
We all levelled up to 9th two fights back, while Stig was sleeping it off on the ship.
I think Stiggy would currently be 8th level, but Heath seems to like us all to level up at the same time, so you might need to adjust up to 9th too - his call.
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooong
motherf~%&ing day at work; need to run an errand; back in an hour if anybody's around.
I see that I have to draw a map in Aubrey's game, and kick in a door in Aubrey's other game.
Due to a sudden lack of employment and the impending visit of my mother, I will be spotty posting the next week or so. I might be up early posting, but I can't guarantee that. Please bear with.

Sorry to hear about that Patrick - hope you find something soon.
