I think since Mal is dead I should make a frontliner. We don't have one and I have not played one in some time. I will take a look through the book and see what I come up with though I am leaning towards pure Fighter. I don't think I have played a pure fighter since the early '90's :-)
Remember to loot his body folks, he has 8 potions of cure light wounds that can help the party! A burial in the woods makes sense as he is a Ranger.
as I asked, if he really dead? he had 11 hit points last I looked (Though you don't keep track of the current hp) and if you don't want him to die I have something up my sleeve. -10 is horrid, back to old 3.5 standards, plus this temple is...interesting :). Not giving away any surprises, but if you don't want to die then there is a good chance he's still alive. If not, well I can't force you to keep playing a character.
Was Malstei injured before that last attack? Just following on the IC thread, and I can't find where he was hurt previously (which means nothing except possibly I can't read).
If he wasn't injured, he should have 10 HP to start, and then therefore be at -7?
However, if you do reroll a new character, Dennis, Fighters are fun in Pathfinder, I must say.
Can't remember but he might've hit by one before.
I agree about fighters. Can even make a duel-weilding fighter to kick ass.
If the option exists to keep him I would rather keep him. I took damage the round before when I charged at the zombies. That is why I am at -12.
I will hold off on the new character if Mal can escape death :-)
With me there's always a way for various reasons:
1. I don't feel comfortable killing a 1st level character, those zombies were rolling like Ninjas!
2. It's unfair to put all the effort into a character for it to die at the begining of a campaign.
3. I'm a softy.
4. It also eliminated the hassle of generating another character and trying to intergrate him/her back into the campaign.
Definitely a wand of cure light wounds will be good. We'll have to wait and see after we search this place out some more before deciding how much we have in funds to work with.
Do we explore everything up top first or take the stairs down behind the altar?
Magically, I'm still full to go on and my crew is in good shape.

Whisper only has 4 hit points right now. On the other hand, she's only as tough as a 1st level 3.5 sorcerer. ;)
I am cool, however, with moving on, understanding that she is far less likely to jump into melee combat than she was last time.
I think exploring the main area first is a good idea however.
Solaria has used one 1st level spell, and has one more left...sorry it kinda got wasted when those dogs came and tore the zombies apart.
Other than that both Solaria and TzeTing are on their full HPs. Solaria is not gonna touch anything just yet, not til we know how we all feel.

Heh...they were just average zombies out of the Beastiary. Problem was I kept rolling high on the damage output. Plus being zombies they had DR5/slashing or bludeoning I believe so the arrows did nothing when one actually hit.
due to damage reduction I was trying to look up what damage type bites were and I found they were b/p/s which covers all areas so i though, sod it, and ruled that they did the damage.
If memory serves, 3.5 Ghoul's were worse. That one was a pansy.

Since it is my private group, I have all the threads that I need to keep track of things like various character names, important details of setting locations, homebrew campaign information or house rules.
I also get to have a gallery of pics that I gather from the web and put up with new titles of information relevant to the campaign; so, players can get a feel for the enemies or sites in the campaign.
I also choose a pic for my invite to the game each week. The pic usually has some sort of hint or taunt of what is scheduled to occur for that session. This Sunday's pic is a pair of Illithid with a slave.

Sadly, Whisper only knows Waterdhavian slang, not Sigilian. :) (Although, with her Knowledge: Planes, she may understand a little of the Sigil cant, who knows?)
Just a quick question.
Kobolds are racial hatred enemies of Gnomes. Gnomes get a bonus in combat against them.
Would Kyras' description of the yipping talk lead Badger to the conclusion that their might be some kobolds along with any hobgoblin (goblinoids are also racial enemies).
Yeah that's believeable. Kobolds are VERY common. Hell, I'm sure if I lived in the realms I'd probably ask some adventures to take them out because they keep breaking in and stealing food from my fridge. Damn creatures and their apposable thumbs!
But yes, you will know what they are. Hell, you'd more or less be a expert.
Just to warn you guys I will be going on holiday to Wales on Monday and I'll be coming back Sunday. Just to tell you all so that you know ahead of schedual and not wonder where I've dissappeared to.
